What Is RCMBNT in Star Citizen?

RCMBNT refers to a family of physical recombinant-sample containers connected to Project Hyperion. Each container represents an imprint recombinant sample created from a specific CTLST series and one of three reagent versions.

RCMBNT PWL, RGL and XTL Types

There are currently nine distinct RCMBNT containers. PWL, RGL and XTL are separate sample series, while the final number corresponds to the reagent version used to create that sample.

These names should be treated as exact item identifiers. A contract requesting RCMBNT-RGL-1 should not be assumed to accept RCMBNT-PWL-1 or RCMBNT-RGL-2 instead.

RCMBNT-PWL-1, PWL-2 and PWL-3

The PWL series consists of RCMBNT-PWL-1, RCMBNT-PWL-2 and RCMBNT-PWL-3. All three originate from the Project Hyperion contract line, but each represents a different reagent version.

PWL containers currently have several important Wikelo uses. One of the clearest examples is the Do Lava Suit contract, which requires:

• 4× RCMBNT-PWL-1;
• 4× RCMBNT-PWL-2;
• 4× RCMBNT-PWL-3;
• 30× Carinite;
• the required Strata armor components.

The mission rewards the contract owner with the Strata Heatwave equipment set.

RCMBNT-RGL-1, RGL-2 and RGL-3

The RGL series contains RCMBNT-RGL-1, RCMBNT-RGL-2 and RCMBNT-RGL-3.

One important current use is the Wikelo Shiny Builder Suit contract. It requires:

• 3× RCMBNT-RGL-1;
• 3× RCMBNT-RGL-2;
• 3× RCMBNT-RGL-3;
• a complete Corbel Mire armor configuration;
• Novikov Backpack Mire;
• 10× ASD Secure Drive.

RCMBNT-XTL-1, XTL-2 and XTL-3

The XTL series contains RCMBNT-XTL-1, RCMBNT-XTL-2 and RCMBNT-XTL-3. Like the PWL and RGL families, these are physical Project Hyperion recombinant-sample containers.

XTL items become especially important in larger Wikelo projects that require a complete set of all nine RCMBNT variants.

What Is RCMBNT Used For?

The primary current gameplay purpose of RCMBNT is Wikelo barter. Different missions consume different combinations of the nine container types.

RCMBNT is only one part of these barter recipes. Larger contracts also require Wikelo Favors, ASD Secure Drives and other specific materials.

RCMBNT for the Asgard Wikelo Contract

The current Asgard Fight Mod is one of the largest RCMBNT-focused contracts. It requires:

• 50× Wikelo Favor;
• 3× ASD Secure Drive;
• 5× RCMBNT-PWL-1;
• 5× RCMBNT-PWL-2;
• 5× RCMBNT-PWL-3;
• 5× RCMBNT-RGL-1;
• 5× RCMBNT-RGL-2;
• 5× RCMBNT-RGL-3;
• 5× RCMBNT-XTL-1;
• 5× RCMBNT-XTL-2;
• 5× RCMBNT-XTL-3.

The reward is granted only to the mission owner.

RCMBNT for Polaris

The current Wikelo Polaris contract requires one of every RCMBNT type:

• 1× each RCMBNT-PWL-1/2/3;
• 1× each RCMBNT-RGL-1/2/3;
• 1× each RCMBNT-XTL-1/2/3.

These nine containers form only one portion of the much larger Polaris material list, which also includes Polaris Bits, ASD Secure Drives, Carinite, MG Scrip and other rare items.

RCMBNT for Idris-P

The current Special Idris For Killing contract requires 5 of every RCMBNT type, meaning 45 RCMBNT containers in total.

This makes a complete RCMBNT collection particularly important for players preparing the largest Wikelo projects.

Where Do RCMBNT Containers Come From?

Current item records associate the RCMBNT family with the Jorrit Dossier: Project Hyperion contracts taking place in the ASD Onyx Facility.

RCMBNT containers should not be described as random asteroid salvage, deep-space wreckage or generic data tokens. They are Project Hyperion experiment samples connected to the Onyx Facility investigation content.

Can You Loot RCMBNT Normally?

Current RCMBNT item records list the containers as not normal loot. They are associated with the Project Hyperion mission process instead of standard bunker or random container loot tables.

Can You Craft RCMBNT?

No. Current item data does not list crafting blueprints for PWL, RGL or XTL RCMBNT containers.

The experiment that creates the samples is part of the relevant gameplay content, but players cannot simply fabricate RCMBNT through a reusable personal blueprint.

Can You Buy RCMBNT from NPC Shops?

No regular NPC shop listing is currently available for the RCMBNT family.

Because Wikelo contracts can require exact combinations of several RCMBNT variants, missing even one specific PWL, RGL or XTL container can block completion of the entire barter recipe.

RCMBNT vs ASD Secure Drive

RCMBNT containers and ASD Secure Drives are separate items even though both are connected to ASD Onyx Facility content and both appear in Wikelo recipes.
