The Unbinding of Kith'ix continues the story immediately after Ula'tek's defeat. Deep beneath the Vaults of Ula'tek, the ancient C'Thraxxi general Kith'ix has broken free from the prison that held him for ages. Players confront him together with Lady Liadrin in a focused raid encounter built around waves of aqir, encroaching Void magic and a final damage race against the Eightfold Eclipse.

This service is specifically for Heroic difficulty. A successful kill also grants the Heroic: Kith'ix achievement and gives you access to the Heroic version of Kith'ix's loot table.

The Unbinding of Kith'ix Heroic Raid Details

Kith'ix Heroic Encounter

Kith'ix is not simply a shortened raid encounter. The fight is divided into two distinct stages and makes Lady Liadrin part of the encounter mechanics.

During Stage One: Darkness' Domain, Kith'ix summons his Voidswarm and sends different aqir against the raid while building energy. Surviving adds become increasingly dangerous when Kith'ix reaches 100 energy and casts Suffocating Darkness.

Lady Liadrin counters the spreading darkness with her own Light-based abilities. Players must make use of Light's Embrace to survive Kith'ix's powerful Extinguish attack while managing the summoned enemies and other raid mechanics.

Heroic introduces additional pressure compared with lower difficulties. Venomous Hulks and Voidweavers gain Incubation, causing Mindstingers to emerge when affected aqir die. Kith'ix's Dark Devastation also leaves behind Voidscars on Heroic, which interact with Suffocating Darkness by releasing Eclipse Fragments toward Lady Liadrin.

At 25% health, Kith'ix enters Stage Two: Last Light. He uses Stygian Howl, removes his remaining minions and begins the Eightfold Eclipse. Lady Liadrin empowers the raid with Last Light, and the encounter becomes a final race to defeat Kith'ix before the last eclipse extinguishes her Light and kills the raid.

Heroic Kith'ix Loot – Item Level 311 Hero Gear

Heroic Kith'ix currently drops equipment at item level 311 on the Hero 3/6 track. The loot table is unusually concentrated because all of the raid's equipment comes from a single boss.

The current PTR pool contains 10 equipment items: four armor pieces, two swords, three role-focused trinkets and one ring. Kith'ix can also drop a Hearthstone toy and a housing decoration.

Loot is subject to the game's drop rules and the service option selected when ordering. A Heroic completion gives you the opportunity to receive eligible Kith'ix loot but does not guarantee a specific equipment item unless such a guarantee is explicitly included in the selected option.

Kith'ix Cantrip Armor and Venomcursed Synergy

One of the strongest reasons to run Heroic Kith'ix is its four special armor pieces. Cloth, Leather, Mail and Plate each receive one cantrip armor item. Their current PTR effects cause attacks to have a chance to erupt with Void energy and damage nearby enemies.

These effects gain an additional 15% damage while your character is Venomcursed, creating direct synergy with Venomcursed equipment from Ula'tek and The Venomous Abyss.

All four armor pieces occupy class-set slots. Current Season 2/PTR systems allow eligible armor in these slots to be converted through the Catalyst while preserving relevant secondary stats and special cantrip effects, making Kith'ix armor particularly important for optimized Season 2 gearing.

Kith'ix Heroic Trinkets

Kith'ix has a dedicated trinket for each major PvE role, making the Heroic kill especially valuable for players targeting specific Season 2 gearing upgrades.

• Twisted Horror's Tendril – DPS: damage can grant overlapping Critical Strike bonuses, with additional interaction when attacking a new target.
• Sigil of the Impending Eclipse – Healer: healing can grant Haste, with additional Haste based on how much health the healed target is missing.
• Lightbearer's Shield Fragment – Tank: creates blessed ground and a protective barrier while redirecting part of nearby allies' incoming damage to the tank.

Heroic Kith'ix Weapons and Ring

The Heroic loot table also includes two weapons with unique effects. Lu'selama, Light's Justice is a two-handed Strength sword whose damage can trigger a Haste window and additional Radiant attacks.

Sanctified Knight's Phoenixblade is a one-handed caster sword with an unusual hybrid effect: healing spells can damage a nearby enemy while damaging spells can heal a nearby ally.

Band of the Swarmcaller is the raid's ring and currently carries heavy Mastery with Haste. Its cantrip can summon an Acidbrood Scourge that flies toward the target and detonates for Nature damage around it.

Heroic Kith'ix Collectibles

Kith'ix is also relevant for collectors. The current loot table includes the Shadeweaver's Hearthstone, a Hearthstone toy themed around the encounter's Void magic.

The boss can also drop Kith'ix's Seal, a Warband-bound housing decoration that can be added to your House Chest.

Ascendant Venomstone from Heroic Kith'ix

Heroic Kith'ix also participates in the Season 2 Ascendant Venomstone gearing system. Once your character has unlocked the feature through Orin Straylight's progression, Heroic raid bosses are an eligible source of Ascendant Venomstones.

Ten Ascendant Venomstones can be consumed to increase the item level of an eligible fully upgraded Hero, Myth or maximum-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket or necklace from Midnight Season 2. This gives the Heroic Kith'ix kill additional value even when your desired boss item does not drop.
