The Dreamrift Raid Overview

The Dreamrift is a focused single-boss raid located in Harandar, deep within the Rift of Aln. This unstable zone represents the space where Aln'hara's dreams once shaped reality before collapsing into chaos. When Aln'hara was taken, only pain and madness remained to shape the rift. Chimaerus feasted on the void left behind, gorging itself on other nightmarish manifestations until it became the Undreamt God: a being of agony and rage that should never have existed.

The Dreamrift launches on March 17, 2026 (Normal, Heroic, and Raid Finder) alongside The Voidspire. Mythic difficulty opens on March 24. Story Mode follows on March 31. The raid has a minimum Raid Finder ilvl requirement of 220 (Adventurer 1). Despite containing only one encounter, the fight is tuned as a mechanically dense execution check that scales sharply across difficulties. There are no filler bosses and no trash. Chimaerus, the Undreamt God - Boss Mechanics

Chimaerus splits the raid between two realms: Reality and the Shadow Realm. Players in each realm must intercept Manifestations that spawn in the Rift before Chimaerus can consume them. Each consumed Manifestation adds a stack of Cannibalized Essence, permanently increasing the boss's damage output. If too many are consumed, the fight becomes unhealable within one or two cycles.

Phase 1 runs until Chimaerus reaches 100 energy. Target swaps between Manifestations and the boss must be precise, and the twinning mechanic means each player has an invisible counterpart in the other realm. Standing within 8 yards of your twin's coordinate triggers a lethal pulse. This forces distinct movement patterns across both groups without direct visibility of the other realm.

At 100 energy, Chimaerus takes flight and begins Corrupted Devastation, dealing sustained raid-wide damage while any remaining adds continue pressing the group. The phase ends with Ravenous Dive, where all surviving Manifestations are instantly consumed. If the raid failed to control adds during the energy cycle, the resulting Cannibalized Essence stack spike effectively ends the attempt.

Throughout the encounter, Rift Sickness applies sustained damage rather than sharp spikes, demanding consistent healing throughput over reactive burst healing. Alndust Upheaval forces the group to spread and swap targets simultaneously while maintaining boss positioning. Players affected by Alndust Essence must move to specific floor locations to cleanse the debuff or take escalating damage for a full minute.

On Heroic, realm-splitting windows tighten, Manifestation health scales up, and Corrupted Devastation overlaps with residual raid damage that punishes slow add control.
