Feathers are officially called Empyrean Traces in Aion 2. They are permanent exploration collectibles used for Monolith Resonance, one of the game's most valuable account progression systems. Unlike random gear farming, every collected Trace moves you toward fixed Monolith milestones and permanent rewards.

Home Continent Empyrean Traces

Each faction has its own main regional Monolith. Elyos characters progress the Verteron Monolith, while Asmodians use the Altgard Monolith. The current Global track contains 560 Empyrean Traces for each faction's home region and progresses through 30 Monolith levels.

The full home-region Monolith provides permanent progression rewards including Revelation Amulet Enhance Scrolls, Hidden Cube Keys, Soul Codex: Reset items, Amplify Stone Fragments, titles and permanent attributes.

Completing the full 560-Trace route is therefore much more than an exploration achievement. It directly develops permanent character systems that remain relevant after your normal leveling gear has been replaced.

Revelation Amulet and Monolith Rewards

One of the most important rewards from the home Monolith is the Revelation Amulet Enhance Scroll. The Global level-30 track provides the Scrolls needed to develop the Revelation Amulet while also awarding additional permanent progression resources at intermediate milestones.

Unlike older Korean and Taiwanese versions of the system, the current Global home-region Monolith does not use the same Wisdom Stone and Action Power reward structure. This service follows the live Global reward track rather than outdated regional guides.

Abyss Empyrean Traces

The Abyss uses a separate Empyrean Trace progression track through the Ereshkigal Monolith. In the current Global build, this track contains 300 Abyss Traces and progresses through 20 Monolith levels.

Abyss Monolith rewards are more PvP-oriented and include permanent PvP-related attributes together with Daevanion Crystal: Azphel, Amplify Stone Fragments and additional collection rewards.

Home-continent and Abyss Traces are therefore separate progression routes. Select the package that matches the Monolith you want to develop.
