Complete Karazhan Raid Run in TBC Classic Anniversary
Book a full Karazhan raid run for your level 70 character and complete one of the first major raid instances in TBC Classic Anniversary. Located in Deadwind Pass, Karazhan is a 10-player raid with a broad encounter roster, early level-70 epic gear, Tier 4 set tokens and reputation with The Violet Eye.
The run follows Karazhan’s progression route through its essential encounters and concludes with Prince Malchezaar, the raid’s final boss. It is a practical way to use your weekly raid lockout while targeting early Burning Crusade upgrades, class-set progression and boss-specific rewards.
Karazhan Raid Structure and Main Encounters
Karazhan combines required progression bosses with optional encounters and events rather than following a completely linear layout. The principal route includes:
- Attumen the Huntsman
- Moroes
- Maiden of Virtue
- The Opera Event
- The Curator
- Shade of Aran
- Terestian Illhoof
- Netherspite
- The Chess Event
- Prince Malchezaar
Nightbane is an optional undead dragon encounter connected to additional quest and access requirements, so it is separate from the standard progression route. Karazhan also features other optional encounters depending on the route taken through the instance.
Karazhan Gear, Tier 4 Tokens and Reputation
Most regular Karazhan epic drops are item level 115. Prince Malchezaar offers higher-level loot at item level 125, making the final encounter an important target for early raid gearing. Bosses also provide class-relevant equipment and other unique items tied to the instance.
Karazhan is an important source of Tier 4 set tokens:
- Tier 4 gloves: obtained from The Curator
- Tier 4 helms: obtained from Prince Malchezaar
Raid progression and related quests award reputation with The Violet Eye. Completing the instance can therefore advance both your equipment goals and your reputation progress alongside the weekly raid clear.
Loot Rules and Random Rewards
A completed Karazhan run guarantees the raid objective and boss kills included in the run, but it does not guarantee a particular item, set token or class upgrade. Boss loot remains subject to the game’s random drop system. Defeating The Curator or Prince Malchezaar gives access to their respective loot tables, but the exact item or token you want may not appear.
For this reason, a full clear is best suited to characters seeking several possible upgrades across the raid rather than a guaranteed specific drop. Additional attempts require another weekly lockout and do not remove the random nature of boss loot.
Access, Lockout and Character Requirements
Karazhan is a level 70, 10-player raid in Deadwind Pass, Eastern Kingdoms. It uses the standard weekly raid reset, so each completed run is tied to the current weekly lockout. Make sure your character satisfies the current Karazhan entry and attunement requirements before the run begins. The original Burning Crusade access process involved the Master’s Key quest chain; attunement completion is not included in this raid description.
Prepare the character you want to use and ensure it is ready to enter Karazhan before booking the run. Once inside, the service focuses on completing the raid route, defeating its major encounters and reaching Prince Malchezaar for access to the instance’s highest-level standard loot.
