BUL-H4 Armor Components Explained

BUL-H4 Armor

The main BUL-H4 Armor is the complete powered suit. Its synthetic polymer plating is designed to mitigate incoming damage, while the powered frame helps offset the weight of the armor.

Current LIVE data places the base suit among the strongest personal protection platforms in Star Citizen. Exact mitigation can depend on the final crafted quality and damage type, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed flat 90% reduction against every attack.

BUL-H4 Helmet

The BUL-H4 Helmet completes the super-heavy protection package. It uses the distinctive multi-visor design of the BUL-H4 family and is a separate equipment item from the one-piece Armor suit.

If you already own the suit but are missing the helmet, select an individual-piece option instead of ordering another complete set.

H4-PBF Ammo Carrier

The third base component is the H4-PBF Ammo Carrier. This is not simply a generic BUL-H4 Backpack. Clark Defense Systems designed it specifically as an ammunition carrier for the heavy-weapons role of the armor platform.

The carrier provides four spare magazine ports and is designed to support the associated Vendetta HMG ammunition system. The Vendetta weapon itself is a separate item and should not be assumed to be included unless it is explicitly shown in the selected product option.

How to Get BUL-H4 Armor in Star Citizen

The natural progression path for the base BUL-H4 is currently connected to the updated Siege of Orison activity. Successful completion of the relevant operation can award one of the reusable base blueprints needed for the armor system.

The blueprint pool covers three pieces:

• BUL-H4 Armor blueprint;
• BUL-H4 Helmet blueprint;
• H4-PBF Ammo Carrier blueprint.

Because the reward is drawn from a pool rather than automatically giving the exact missing piece, obtaining all three blueprints can require repeated completions.

Can You Craft BUL-H4 Armor?

Yes. The base BUL-H4 Armor, Helmet and H4-PBF Ammo Carrier have current crafting recipes once their respective blueprints are unlocked.

Material quality can affect relevant crafted properties. This makes blueprint ownership and high-quality resources valuable if you intend to manufacture replacement sets yourself.

If your objective is simply to equip the armor rather than unlock and maintain the entire crafting chain, buying the finished BUL-H4 components is the more direct route.

BUL-H4 Armor Variants

The BUL-H4 family also includes visual and acquisition variants such as Snow Camo, Stronghold and SteelTek. These should not automatically be treated as part of the base BUL-H4 product.

BUL-H4 Snow Camo and Wikelo

The Snow Camo version has a separate progression path connected to Wikelo. The current Heavy and Bright exchange uses a base BUL-H4 Armor, BUL-H4 Helmet, H4-PBF Ammo Carrier and a Wikelo Favor to provide the corresponding Snow Camo equipment and reusable Snow Camo blueprints.

This makes the base set useful even if your long-term target is Snow Camo, because the standard equipment is part of the exchange path.

BUL-H4 Armor and Vendetta HMG

The BUL-H4 was designed as part of a broader heavy-infantry loadout together with the Apocalypse Arms Vendetta HMG. The H4-PBF Ammo Carrier exists specifically to support this role.

However, the armor set and weapon should be treated as separate acquisition targets. Purchasing this BUL-H4 product does not automatically include a Vendetta HMG unless the weapon is explicitly listed in your selected option.
