Buy our WoW Forever Onyxia Attunement Boost to complete the required faction questline, obtain the Drakefire Amulet, and unlock access to Onyxia's Lair on your character. Choose Alliance or Horde, select the available completion method, and our team will handle the required quest and dungeon progression.
Onyxia's Lair is a level 60 raid for 40 players opening on December 9, 2026. Blizzard has officially confirmed that every raid member must carry their own Drakefire Amulet to enter. The amulet only needs to be in your inventory and does not need to be equipped.
WoW Forever Onyxia Attunement Boost
The Onyxia attunement is a long faction-specific quest chain rather than a single unlock quest. Both paths eventually lead to Upper Blackrock Spire, where the character must defeat General Drakkisath and obtain the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion before receiving the final Drakefire Amulet.
| Option | Alliance | Horde |
|---|---|---|
| Starting Route | Burning Steppes — Dragonkin Menace | Kargath, Badlands — Blood and Thunder |
| Main Dungeon Progress | Blackrock Depths and Upper Blackrock Spire | Lower Blackrock Spire and Upper Blackrock Spire |
| Major Story Steps | Marshal Windsor, Stormwind, The Great Masquerade, The Dragon's Eye | Thrall, Rexxar, Myranda, Emberstrife and The Test of Skulls |
| Final Objective | Defeat General Drakkisath and obtain the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion | |
| Final Reward | Drakefire Amulet and access to Onyxia's Lair | |
The two faction routes are different, so make sure you select the correct faction when placing the order. We complete the required progression for the selected character rather than providing a generic raid unlock.
Alliance Onyxia Attunement
The Alliance Onyxia questline begins with Dragonkin Menace in Burning Steppes. It continues through the investigation involving Marshal Windsor, multiple trips into Blackrock Depths, the events surrounding The Great Masquerade in Stormwind, and The Dragon's Eye.
The final part sends your character into Upper Blackrock Spire to defeat General Drakkisath. After obtaining his blood and completing the final quest, your character receives the Drakefire Amulet required for Onyxia's Lair.
Horde Onyxia Attunement
The Horde route begins with Blood and Thunder from Warlord Goretooth in Kargath and continues through Lower Blackrock Spire, Orgrimmar, Thrall and Rexxar.
Later steps involve Myranda the Hag, the Amulet of Draconic Subversion, Emberstrife and the four Test of Skulls objectives against Scryer, Somnus, Chronalis and Axtroz. The final dungeon step is also Upper Blackrock Spire, where General Drakkisath provides the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion needed to finish the attunement.
Why You Need the Drakefire Amulet
The Drakefire Amulet is the actual access requirement for Onyxia's Lair. Having an attuned raid leader is not enough: every character entering the raid needs their own amulet in their inventory.
This makes the attunement an important part of preparing a character for the first WoW Forever raid tier. Once your access is ready, you can continue with our Onyxia's Lair Raid Boost or browse all available WoW Forever Raid Boosts.
