The Barrow Deeps is one of the first maximum-level raids in World of Warcraft: Forever. Hidden beneath Kalimdor, this ancient prison once held Illidan Stormrage for thousands of years. Its passages are now open again, sending players deep below Mount Hyjal to discover what happened to the prisoners left behind.
A full clear covers 8/8 encounters, provides access to the raid's complete boss reward pool for that lockout and completes the current Conquerer of the Deeps Legacy Challenge if your account is eligible.

Full 8/8 Barrow Deeps Raid Clear
The Full 8/8 Clear covers every confirmed Barrow Deeps encounter in one raid lockout. Blizzard has officially confirmed that the raid contains eight bosses, making it a compact maximum-level raid designed around a 10-player roster.
A complete run is the best option when you want both progression and maximum boss coverage because your character receives loot opportunities from every encounter instead of targeting only part of the raid.
The full clear provides:
- all 8 Barrow Deeps boss kills;
- loot opportunities from every completed encounter;
- progress toward the new WoW Forever raid gear;
- opportunities for rare boss-specific rewards;
- completion of the Conquerer of the Deeps Legacy Challenge if eligible.
Barrow Deeps Bosses
Blizzard has officially confirmed eight encounters for The Barrow Deeps. Current WoW Forever Legacy data identifies the following bosses:

The names above come from the current Legacy Challenge data. The base Full Clear is defined by defeating all eight live raid encounters, so the service remains valid if Blizzard adjusts encounter order before the raid opens.
Conquerer of the Deeps Legacy Point
Completing all eight encounters fulfills the current Conquerer of the Deeps Legacy Challenge and awards 1 Legacy Point if the challenge has not already been completed on your account.
This gives a full Barrow Deeps run value beyond random raid drops. Even when a particular item does not appear, your first eligible 8/8 clear can still contribute directly to your account-wide Legacy progression.
The opening raid tier also contains separate Legacy objectives for completing Hyjal Summit and defeating Onyxia.
How to Enter The Barrow Deeps
The Barrow Deeps is located beneath Kalimdor and connects to several parts of the world instead of relying on one isolated entrance.
Blizzard has confirmed access routes connected through:
- Mount Hyjal;
- Winterspring;
- Blackmaw Hold.
This gives raid groups several ways to approach the underground complex. Exact entrance coordinates and the best route for a scheduled run should be confirmed using the live raid setup.
Unlike Onyxia's Lair, Blizzard's current raid-access overview does not announce a separate Barrow Deeps attunement quest or mandatory access item.
Barrow Deeps Loot and Tier Sets
The Barrow Deeps is part of the first WoW Forever level 60 raid tier. Blizzard has confirmed that Barrow Deeps and Hyjal Summit introduce new Tier Sets and are connected to a new legendary raid reward.
The exact boss-to-item loot tables are still being completed, so we do not list unconfirmed weapons, trinkets or Tier pieces as guaranteed drops.
Raid reward categories can include:
- new Tier Set gear;
- weapons;
- raid armor;
- trinkets;
- rings, necklaces and other accessories;
- rare boss-specific Chase Items;
- other maximum-level raid rewards.
A Full Clear guarantees the eight boss completions. Specific random gear is only guaranteed when the product configurator explicitly states a guaranteed item condition.
Rare Chase Items from Barrow Deeps Bosses
WoW Forever is designed around more horizontal raid progression, with older raids remaining useful even when additional content becomes available.
Blizzard developers have described a system of rare Chase Items associated with raid bosses. These rewards are intended to have lower drop rates but unusually strong or desirable effects.
With eight bosses in one lockout, a complete Barrow Deeps run gives your character multiple chances at boss-specific raid rewards. However, a Chase Item remains a random drop and cannot be guaranteed by normal Loot Priority alone.
Loot Options for Barrow Deeps
The available loot setup is shown in the product configurator. Choose the option that matches your main objective before checkout.

Loot Priority is not a drop guarantee. An eligible item must first drop from the corresponding boss before priority can affect its distribution.
A specific weapon, trinket, Tier piece, legendary reward or Chase Item should only be considered guaranteed when that condition is explicitly listed in the selected product option.
Self-Play or Piloted Barrow Deeps Run
Choose the completion method available in the configurator:
- Self-Play: play your own character and join our organized 10-player raid at the scheduled time.
- Pilot: an assigned player completes the selected Barrow Deeps objective on your character according to the service conditions.
Self-Play is ideal if you want to experience the new raid yourself while avoiding the work of recruiting the remaining players, preparing the group and coordinating eight different encounters.
Special Consumables for The Barrow Deeps
WoW Forever introduces several level 60 flasks with additional bonuses while your character is inside Mount Hyjal, Hyjal Summit or The Barrow Deeps.
- Flask of Natural Accuracy — grants Stamina and additional Hit Chance in Barrow Deeps content.
- Flask of Natural Aggression — grants Stamina and additional Critical Strike Chance.
- Flask of Natural Swiftness — grants Stamina and additional Haste.
- Flask of Natural Precision — grants Stamina and reduces the chance for attacks to be dodged or parried.
These consumables are not automatically included in the base Raid Boost unless the corresponding preparation option is explicitly shown in the configurator.

- Select EU or US.
- Choose the correct realm type.
- Select Self-Play or Pilot.
- Choose the available loot configuration.
- Provide your character and class information.
- Coordinate the scheduled raid time.
- Join the organized 10-player roster.
- Defeat all eight Barrow Deeps encounters and receive eligible rewards.
The Barrow Deeps becomes available on December 9, 2026. Blizzard currently plans for the opening raids to reset weekly.

Complete the Opening WoW Forever Raid Tier
The Barrow Deeps is the smallest opening raid by group size, but its eight bosses make it a major source of weekly level 60 progression.
For broader raid gearing, combine it with the Hyjal Summit Raid Boost for all 13 encounters and the Onyxia's Lair Raid Boost for Onyxia, Tier 2 helm opportunities and the separate Onyxia Legacy milestone.
If your character has not yet reached the maximum level, use the WoW Forever Leveling Boost separately before your scheduled raid.
