  • Coolers

Buy Star Citizen coolers and upgrade the thermal management of your ship with the component that fits your loadout. Choose the exact cooler model you need by size, grade and class, then receive the component through a coordinated in-game delivery.

Coolers are core ship components responsible for removing heat generated by other systems. Weapons, shields, power systems, quantum drives and other components produce heat while operating, and the cooling system helps keep them within their intended temperature range. The right cooler therefore matters for both component performance and the overall thermal behavior of your ship.

Star Citizen Ship Coolers

A cooler transfers heat away from other ship components and dissipates it into space. This prevents excessive heat buildup during sustained operation. Heat management also affects your ship's infrared signature, so choosing a cooler is not only about installing the component with the largest cooling value.

Star Citizen currently offers coolers across several sizes, grades and component classes. Small fighters and ships generally use smaller components, while medium and large spacecraft require corresponding cooler sizes. Some capital-size coolers are built specifically for particular ships and should not be treated as universal upgrades.

Choose the Correct Cooler Size

Component size must match the cooler slot installed on your ship. A Size 2 cooler cannot simply replace a Size 1 component, and multiple smaller coolers cannot normally be exchanged for one larger unit.

S1 coolers are commonly used by small spacecraft. Current examples include the Ultra-Flow, Glacier, VaporBlock, HeatSafe, ArcticStorm and Hydrocel.

S2 coolers cover many medium ships and include models such as Snowpack, Avalanche, IceBox, FullFrost and CoolCore.

S3 coolers are found on larger spacecraft. Current examples include the Blizzard, Chill-Max, FrostBite and other large-frame cooling systems.

S4 coolers should be treated separately. Components at this level can be capital or ship-specific. The Algid, for example, is an S4 industrial cooler manufactured specifically for the Aegis Reclaimer.

Cooler Grades: A, B, C and D

Star Citizen assigns swappable components a letter grade. Grade A represents the upper end of a component family, followed by B, C and D. The grade is useful as an initial comparison, but it should not be the only factor when selecting a cooler.

Two coolers of the same size can differ in cooling output, durability, distortion resistance and intended component class. For that reason, choose the actual cooler model that suits the ship rather than assuming every Grade A component is automatically the best choice for every build.

Civilian, Military, Industrial, Stealth and Competition Coolers

Coolers are also divided into different component classes. These classes help distinguish models designed around different priorities.

Industrial coolers include components such as the Juno Starwerk Ultra-Flow and Snowpack. The current Snowpack is an S2 Grade A industrial cooler designed around strong cooling performance and durability.

Military coolers include Aegis models such as the Glacier, Avalanche and Blizzard. The Blizzard is currently an S3 Grade A military cooler, while the Glacier fills the Grade A military role at Size 1.

Stealth coolers include Tyler Design & Tech models such as the HeatSafe, VaporBlock and IceBox. These components are specifically described around controlling emissions and reducing signatures.

Civilian and Competition alternatives are also available, giving players additional choices depending on the ship and intended loadout.

Popular Star Citizen Coolers

The best cooler depends on your ship and component slot rather than on one universal ranking. Several current models are useful reference points when comparing upgrades:

  • Ultra-Flow — S1 Grade A Industrial: high-end small industrial cooler from Juno Starwerk.
  • Glacier — S1 Grade A Military: Aegis military cooler designed for demanding combat heat management.
  • VaporBlock — S1 Grade B Stealth: Tyler Design & Tech cooler focused on lower signatures.
  • Snowpack — S2 Grade A Industrial: high-end medium industrial cooler with strong performance and durability.
  • Avalanche — S2 Grade A Military: military Size 2 cooling option from Aegis Dynamics.
  • IceBox — S2 Grade B Stealth: medium stealth cooler designed around reduced signatures.
  • Blizzard — S3 Grade A Military: large military-grade cooler from Aegis Dynamics.
  • Chill-Max — S3 Grade A Industrial: large industrial cooler from Juno Starwerk.

Cooling Performance and IR Signature

A cooler removes heat generated elsewhere in the ship, but that heat must ultimately be dissipated. Star Citizen's current cooler mechanics therefore connect thermal management with infrared emissions.

This is especially relevant when comparing a high-output combat or industrial build with a lower-signature configuration. Do not select a cooler solely from its name or grade. Size compatibility, cooling output, component durability and the intended loadout all matter.

How Star Citizen Cooler Delivery Works

Select the exact cooler model and quantity required for your ship. We recommend providing your ship model with the order if you are not completely sure which component fits the available cooler slot.

After confirmation, our team coordinates an available server and meeting location and transfers the selected component through an appropriate in-game handoff method.

You remain on your own Star Citizen account throughout standard delivery. Your RSI password is not required.

Upgrade Your Ship Without Searching Component Stores

Coolers are distributed across different component shops and locations in Stanton, Pyro and Nyx, and some components have much more limited availability than others. For example, current 4.10.1 data lists the S2 Grade A Snowpack at only a small number of shops, while more common coolers are sold across many locations.

Ordering the exact model you need removes the need to travel between component stores and lets you move directly to installing and testing your new loadout.

You will get
  • The selected Star Citizen cooler component.
  • The selected quantity for your ship or vehicle loadout.
  • Manual in-game delivery in the current LIVE universe.
  • Compatibility verification when you provide your ship model.
  • No RSI account password required for standard delivery.
Requirements
  • An active Star Citizen account with access to the LIVE Persistent Universe.
  • Your correct RSI Handle for delivery coordination.
  • A compatible cooler component slot for the selected model.
  • Your ship model if you want compatibility checked before delivery.
  • Availability to meet our team at the agreed in-game location.
