Buy Ship Gatlings in Star Citizen and equip your ship with high-rate ballistic weapons designed to deliver sustained projectile fire. Choose the exact Ballistic Gatling model and size that fits your hardpoint and receive the weapon through a coordinated in-game delivery.
Ballistic Gatlings use physical ammunition and rotating barrels to maintain a high rate of fire. They are particularly effective when you want to keep continuous pressure on a target, but unlike energy weapons they have a finite ammunition supply and must eventually be replenished.
Star Citizen Ballistic Gatlings
Ship Gatlings in Star Citizen are primarily Ballistic Gatlings: high-rate projectile weapons that trade unlimited energy-based firing for physical ammunition, sustained fire and strong pressure on moving targets.
Current Star Citizen 4.10.1 data includes general-purpose Gatlings from Size 1 through Size 6, along with several specialized or ship-specific weapons that should be treated separately.
| Weapon Type | Ballistic Gatling |
| Damage Type | Physical / Ballistic |
| Main Upgrade Sizes | S1–S6 |
| Ammunition | Finite physical ammunition |
| Main Manufacturers | Gallenson Tactical Systems, Behring and Apocalypse Arms |
| Combat Style | High rate of fire and sustained projectile pressure |
| Compatibility | Requires a matching ship weapon hardpoint |
Choose the Correct Gatling Size
The selected Gatling must match the weapon hardpoint available on your ship or turret. A Size 4 weapon cannot be installed directly on an S3 hardpoint, even if the larger weapon would otherwise provide more firepower.
S1: YellowJacket GT-210 from Gallenson Tactical Systems.
S2: Scorpion GT-215 is the standard Gallenson S2 Ballistic Gatling. Special alternatives such as the Deathroll S2 also exist, but they have more limited acquisition.
S3: Mantis GT-220 provides the larger Gallenson option for S3 hardpoints.
S4: Behring AD4B and Apocalypse Arms Revenant are two important S4 Ballistic Gatlings. Special Grey's Market options such as Breakneck also exist.
S5: Behring AD5B extends the AD-series to large S5 hardpoints.
S6: Behring AD6B and Apocalypse Arms Draugar provide heavy Ballistic Gatling options for large weapon mounts.
YellowJacket, Scorpion and Mantis Gatlings
Gallenson Tactical Systems offers a clear S1-S3 progression with the YellowJacket GT-210 S1, Scorpion GT-215 S2 and Mantis GT-220 S3.
These weapons are built around very high rates of fire. The current YellowJacket and Scorpion data lists a 1,600 RPM firing rate, and the Mantis follows the same high-volume combat philosophy for S3 hardpoints.
The Gallenson family is therefore a practical choice for small and medium ships that want sustained ballistic fire against fast-moving targets.
Behring AD-Series Ballistic Gatlings
Behring's AD-series covers larger hardpoints with the AD4B S4, AD5B S5 and AD6B S6.
The AD-series uses a high-speed rotary firing system designed for sustained engagements. Current 4.10.1 data lists the AD4B and AD5B as Grade A, craftable weapons with normal in-game shop availability.
The AD4B currently carries more than 5,000 rounds and fires at 900 RPM, making it a very different weapon from smaller Gallenson Gatlings despite belonging to the same broader Ballistic Gatling category.
Revenant Gatling
The Revenant from Apocalypse Arms is an S4 Ballistic Gatling designed around rugged construction and sustained ballistic fire. Compared with smaller high-speed Gatlings, its identity is built more around heavy projectile pressure and a longer spin-up cycle.
Current 4.10.1 data also includes a crafting blueprint for the Revenant, although normal store availability can differ from more common weapons such as the AD4B.
Draugar Gatling
The Draugar is an S6 Grade A Ballistic Gatling from Apocalypse Arms. It is one of the larger interchangeable Gatlings currently available and is designed around heavy sustained fire after its rotary assembly spins up.
Current 4.10.1 data shows the Draugar with in-game shop listings and a craftable blueprint, making it a practical large-hardpoint option compared with several bespoke capital weapons.
Ballistic Gatling vs Ballistic Cannon
Ballistic Gatlings and Ballistic Cannons both use physical ammunition, but their firing profiles are very different.
Ballistic Gatlings emphasize rate of fire, sustained pressure and a large number of projectiles. Ballistic Cannons generally use a more deliberate firing rhythm with stronger individual hits.
If your combat style relies on keeping continuous fire on agile targets, a Gatling may be more suitable. If you prefer fewer, heavier shots, a Ballistic Cannon may fit the loadout better.
This product covers Ballistic Gatlings only. Ballistic Cannons and Mass Driver Cannons should remain separate weapon products.
Ballistic Gatlings vs Laser Repeaters
Both weapon types can provide sustained fire, but their resource model is different. Laser Repeaters use ship power and the weapon capacitor, while Ballistic Gatlings use a finite physical ammunition supply.
This means Gatlings can continue firing without consuming weapon-capacitor energy, but their total combat endurance is limited by ammunition. Laser weapons can recharge, but they compete with other systems for ship power.
Ammunition and Spin-Up
Ballistic Gatlings have a limited ammunition capacity and many models use a short spin-up period before reaching their intended firing rhythm.
Magazine size, projectile speed, rate of fire and spin-up time vary significantly between models. For example, the current YellowJacket S1 carries thousands of small rounds and fires extremely quickly, while heavier Gatlings such as the AD-series trade some firing speed for more powerful projectiles.
Buying or Crafting Ship Gatlings
Several current Ballistic Gatlings can be purchased directly from weapon stores. Others also have crafting blueprints that must first be unlocked through gameplay.
Current 4.10.1 mission reward pools include blueprints for weapons such as AD4B, AD5B and AD6B, while other contracts can unlock Revenant and Draugar blueprints.
Buying the weapon directly lets you skip the vendor search or blueprint progression and move straight to fitting your loadout.
How Ship Gatling Delivery Works
Select the exact Gatling model and quantity required for your ship. If you are unsure about compatibility, provide your ship model so the hardpoint size can be checked before delivery.
Our team coordinates an available server and meeting location and transfers the selected ship weapons through an appropriate in-game handoff method.
You remain on your own Star Citizen account throughout standard delivery. Your RSI password is not required.
For other ship guns and combat components, browse our Star Citizen Weapons catalog.
Build a Complete Gatling Loadout
Ships with multiple matching hardpoints often perform best with a consistent weapon setup. Ordering two, three or four copies of the same Gatling can make it easier to create a symmetrical projectile velocity, firing rhythm and ammo profile across the ship.
Choose the exact model and quantity required for your build instead of travelling between several weapon stores or sourcing each weapon separately.
