  • Neutron & Tachyon Cannons

Buy Neutron and Tachyon Cannons in Star Citizen and equip your ship with specialized energy weapons built around powerful individual shots. Choose a MaxOx NN-Series Neutron Cannon or Banu Singe Tachyon Cannon in the size required for your loadout and receive the weapon through a coordinated in-game delivery.

Both weapon types use ship power rather than a conventional ballistic ammunition supply, but they have different characteristics. Neutron Cannons emphasize high energy damage per shot at the cost of rate of fire and power efficiency, while Singe Tachyon Cannons combine slow firing cycles with extremely fast energy projectiles designed for accurate long-range hits.

Star Citizen Neutron and Tachyon Cannons

Neutron and Tachyon Cannons are specialized energy ship weapons rather than conventional Laser Cannons. Current Star Citizen 4.10.1 data contains the MaxOx NN-Series Neutron Cannons in S1 through S3 and the Banu Singe Tachyon Cannon family in the same S1 through S3 range.

The available weapon should always be selected by exact model and hardpoint size. Tachyon weapons in particular have unusual availability and compatibility history, so checking the intended ship before ordering is strongly recommended.

Neutron Cannons

Neutron Cannons are energy weapons designed around high damage per shot and comparatively low rates of fire. They draw their firing energy from the ship rather than consuming physical ballistic ammunition.

The current MaxOx N-series consists of the NN-13 S1, NN-14 S2 and NN-15 S3. As weapon size increases, the series delivers progressively heavier individual hits while also demanding more from the ship's power system.

These cannons are a good fit for pilots who prefer deliberate shots and strong alpha damage over sustained high-rate fire.

In current 4.10.1 data, all three NN-Series models have both in-game purchase and crafting data. Teach's Item Shop in Levski currently lists the NN-13, NN-14 and NN-15, while their crafting blueprints can also be unlocked through relevant progression.

NN-13, NN-14 or NN-15?

The main difference is hardpoint size. The NN-13 fits S1 weapon mounts, the NN-14 is the S2 version and the NN-15 moves the same weapon concept to S3.

Do not select a larger model simply because it offers more firepower. The cannon must match the weapon hardpoint available on your ship.

Tachyon Cannons

The Banu Singe family uses tachyon technology to deliver energy projectiles with very high projectile velocity. The weapons fire slowly compared with many conventional energy guns, but each firing cycle is built around a powerful, accurate shot.

Current game data contains Singe S1, Singe S2 and Singe S3 variants. The S3 version, for example, uses a charged firing cycle and currently delivers a high-energy individual shot rather than sustained repeater-style fire.

Singe Cannons are unusual components. Current data shows crafting blueprints for all three sizes but no regular UEX shop listings, and the S3 version is associated with the Banu Defender as a bespoke weapon. Compatibility should therefore be confirmed before purchasing a Singe Cannon for another ship.

Neutron Cannon vs Tachyon Cannon

Both are energy-based cannon weapons, but they should not be treated as identical alternatives.

Neutron Cannons focus on heavy energy payloads and strong individual hits while sacrificing firing speed and energy efficiency. The NN-Series is also currently easier to acquire through normal in-game purchasing.

Tachyon Cannons focus on very fast projectiles, long-range accuracy and powerful charged shots. The Singe family has much more limited conventional availability and requires additional attention to ship compatibility.

The better option therefore depends on your hardpoint, target engagement style and whether your ship can actually use the selected weapon.

Neutron & Tachyon Cannons vs Laser Cannons

Standard Laser Cannons are the more common general-purpose energy cannon option and are available through many different manufacturers and sizes. Neutron and Tachyon Cannons are more specialized weapon types with smaller model ranges and different firing characteristics.

This product includes Neutron and Tachyon Cannons only. Standard Laser Cannons, Laser Repeaters, Distortion Cannons and ballistic weapons should remain in their respective weapon categories.

Energy Supply and Ammunition

Neutron and Tachyon Cannons do not use conventional ballistic ammunition magazines. Their firing behavior instead depends on ship power and weapon energy systems.

This removes ballistic ammunition restocking from the loadout but makes power demand and weapon energy management important. Large Neutron Cannons in particular are explicitly designed around heavier power requirements, while Singe weapons use comparatively slow firing or charge cycles.

Buying or Crafting These Weapons

The current NN-13, NN-14 and NN-15 can be purchased in-game and also have craftable blueprints. Their blueprints appear in current 4.10.1 progression reward pools, including Headhunters contracts in Pyro.

Singe S1-S3 also have current crafting blueprints, but normal shop availability is not listed. This makes the Singe line a more specialized acquisition than conventional ship weapons.

How Delivery Works
