Heroic Loot and Item Levels

The Venomous Abyss rewards stronger Heroic gear as the raid progresses. Boss 1 starts at item level 305, the middle encounters increase to 308–311, and the final two bosses can drop item level 315 gear.

Loot remains drop-dependent. Completing a boss guarantees the configured raid progress, not a specific weapon, trinket, armor piece or Tier Set token unless an individual reward is explicitly included in the selected service.

Heroic Tier Sets and Great Vault Progress

Bosses two through six provide the five standard Season 2 Tier Set token opportunities. Ula’tek can additionally drop the Slumbering Coil Curio, which eligible characters can exchange for a class-set piece.

Qualifying raid kills unlock the three Raid choices in the Great Vault after 2, 4 and 6 bosses. A full 8/8 Heroic clear therefore reaches all three boss-count thresholds during the weekly reset. Smaller Heroic runs still contribute according to the number of eligible bosses completed.

Full 8/8 Heroic Clear

The complete clear is the primary option for players who want full Heroic progression in one service. It covers all eight encounters and gives the character access to every Heroic loot band, all standard Tier Set token bosses and the final Ula’tek reward pool.

Heroic Ula’tek and Ahead of the Curve

A full Heroic run includes Ula’tek as the final encounter. Defeating Ula’tek on Heroic or higher can satisfy the boss requirement for Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek while the seasonal achievement remains obtainable.

If your character has already completed the earlier raid and only needs the final boss, the dedicated Ula’tek Kill Boost is the more direct service. Players interested specifically in the seasonal achievement can also use the Ahead of the Curve Boost.

Priority affects the distribution of eligible items after they drop. It cannot force a particular boss to drop a specific item and does not override Blizzard’s loot or trade restrictions.

Self-Play: you control your character and join the organized raid at the confirmed time. The raid team handles the roster, strategy, assignments and encounter coordination while you follow the raid leader’s instructions.

Piloted: where displayed as an available product option, the configured objective is completed under the corresponding service conditions. Availability is confirmed before the run is scheduled.
