TBC Classic Profession Guides for 1–375 Leveling

Explore practical TBC Classic profession guides covering efficient leveling routes from skill 1 to 375, required materials, profession trainers, specialization choices and important recipes. This category helps you plan each profession before purchasing materials, avoid expensive leveling mistakes and understand what to unlock after reaching the maximum skill level.

The guides are designed for TBC Classic Anniversary players leveling a new profession, preparing an alt or optimizing an established character for raids, PvP and endgame crafting. Material quantities, recipe choices and trainer steps are organized into clear skill brackets so you can follow the route without repeatedly returning to the Auction House or discovering that an important recipe is unavailable.

What You Will Find in Our TBC Profession Guides

  • Complete 1–375 leveling routes: skill brackets, recommended recipes, approximate material quantities and alternative crafts.
  • Profession trainer locations: where to learn each profession rank and continue from Azeroth into Outland.
  • Shopping lists: organized material summaries that can be prepared before starting the leveling route.
  • Specialization guides: requirements, questlines, benefits and restrictions for professions with multiple specialization paths.

How to Choose the Right Profession

The best TBC profession depends on your class, specialization, content goals and access to materials. Some professions provide powerful crafted gear or profession-only benefits, while others support your character through consumables, enhancements or utility items.

Before choosing a profession, consider the following factors:

  • Your class and specialization: compare crafted armor types, weapons, gems, enchants and profession-specific bonuses.
  • Your primary content: raiding, Arena, battlegrounds and general character progression can require different profession combinations.
  • Specialization requirements: several professions require additional quests or permanent specialization choices.
  • Available materials: check whether you will gather materials yourself, use an alt or purchase them.
  • Current raid phase: profession priorities change when new recipes, raid materials and crafted upgrades become available.

Use our Best Professions in TBC Anniversary guide to compare profession combinations by class, role and content type before committing materials to a full 1–375 route.

How Profession Leveling From 1 to 375 Works

TBC profession leveling is divided into multiple skill ranges. The first 300 points are primarily completed in Azeroth, while skill levels 300–375 use Outland trainers, recipes and materials. A reliable leveling route should identify when to train the next profession rank, which recipes remain efficient and where alternative crafts can reduce material waste.

  1. Learn the profession and confirm the required character level.
  2. Prepare the materials for the next skill bracket rather than buying the entire list without checking prices.
  3. Use orange and yellow recipes when possible to maintain reliable skill gains.
  4. Visit the correct trainer before reaching the current skill cap.
  5. Switch to Outland materials and Master-level recipes after skill 300.
  6. Complete specialization quests and unlock important endgame recipes after reaching the required skill.

Material totals are estimates because yellow and green recipes do not guarantee a skill point on every craft. Keep a small reserve of commonly used materials and check the alternatives listed in each profession guide before purchasing additional stacks.

Crafting Profession Specializations

Several TBC professions include specialization systems that change which items you can craft or improve the results of specific recipes. These choices should be planned before investing in expensive materials.

  • Alchemy: choose between Potion, Elixir and Transmutation Mastery based on the items you expect to create most often.
  • Blacksmithing: select Armorsmithing or Weaponsmithing, with additional weapon paths where applicable.
  • Leatherworking: compare Elemental, Dragonscale and Tribal Leatherworking based on your armor and recipe goals.
  • Tailoring: choose the specialization connected to the cloth and crafted sets most relevant to your class.
  • Engineering: compare Gnomish and Goblin Engineering recipes before selecting a path.

Each specialization guide should explain the required skill level, quest chain, materials, trainers and consequences of changing specialization later.

Jewelcrafting, Gems and Gear Sockets

Jewelcrafting is one of the defining professions of The Burning Crusade. Jewelcrafters can prospect ore, cut gems and create rings, necklaces, trinkets and other profession items. As raid phases progress, new gem cuts and designs can change gearing priorities for every class.

Use our TBC Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 1–375 for trainer breakpoints, material brackets, prospecting requirements and a complete route to maximum skill.

Enchanting and Disenchanting

Enchanting combines profession leveling with material management. Dusts, essences and shards can come from disenchanting unwanted gear, but the most efficient route depends on the relative cost of crafted items and enchanting materials.

A proper guide should identify required rods, trainer transitions, reputation formulas and alternative enchants for expensive skill brackets. Follow the TBC Enchanting Leveling Guide 1–375 to prepare materials and avoid interruptions caused by missing tools or formulas.

Recipes, Patterns and Reputation Requirements

Reaching skill 375 does not automatically unlock every useful craft. Many important TBC recipes come from faction quartermasters, profession specializations, limited-supply vendors, dungeon drops, world drops and raid content.

Before farming or purchasing a recipe, confirm:

  • the required profession skill;
  • the required specialization;
  • the reputation level and faction;
  • whether the recipe is Bind on Pickup;
  • whether the crafted item requires raid materials;
  • whether the recipe is currently available in the active Anniversary phase.

Profession Changes Across TBC Anniversary Phases

Profession priorities do not remain static throughout TBC Anniversary. New phases introduce additional recipes, raid materials, crafted gear and gem designs. An item that is a major upgrade during an early phase may later become a catch-up option, while previously unused materials can become important for new crafts.

The guides in this category separate evergreen leveling information from phase-specific updates. This allows you to use the same 1–375 route while checking current recommendations for recipes, crafted gear and materials.

Start With the Right Profession Guide

Choose the guide for the profession you want to level and check the complete material list before crafting. Confirm your current skill, profession rank, available trainers and specialization plans. When material prices are unusually high, use the alternative recipes provided for the relevant skill bracket instead of following one route at any cost.

New profession guides and phase updates will be added as TBC Anniversary progresses. Existing articles will be updated when new recipes, gem designs or profession materials become available.
