World of Warcraft: Forever is Blizzard's permanent reinterpretation of the original Azeroth. It retains a level 60 progression framework while introducing new quests, locations, class changes, dungeons, raids, and systems intended to support long-term character development.

Forever uses a ruleset-based structure instead of the traditional named-realm selection screen. Horde and Alliance remain separate factions, and players choose a ruleset when creating their characters. Our Servers and Rulesets Guide explains how these choices affect your experience.

All nine classes retain their familiar identities while receiving revised abilities, talent choices, and other changes. Some new race and class combinations also become available. Because Forever changes the original Classic class balance, older talent builds and class rankings cannot be transferred without checking the updated mechanics.

Leveling requires a different approach for each faction. Forever introduces nine new dungeons distributed across the leveling journey. They include Hall of Thanes, Ruins of Lordaeron, Excavation Site, City of Dalaran, The Drowned City, Krol'dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison, Blackmaw Hold, and Shaper's Terrace.

Professions remain important throughout the level 1–60 journey. Forever expands crafting with hundreds of new recipes and introduces profession-related Camping utilities. Players can gather materials, craft equipment and consumables, or contribute objects to shared campsites.

Forever expands Azeroth with locations such as Zephras Isle, Riverglades, Shen'dralas, and Mount Hyjal. These areas introduce new quests, exploration opportunities, and faction stories. The Legacy System adds account-wide progression through challenges linked to classes, professions, exploration, dungeons, raids, and PvP. Completing challenges earns Legacy Points, which can be used to unlock character-specific perks within the available spending limits.

WoW Forever is a developing game, and information from beta testing is not always identical to the final live version.
