When Do You Unlock the Monolith?
The Monolith is introduced during early regional story progression. The Global Playtest records list the Elyos Empyrean Monolith episode with a recommended level of 16. Its objectives include collecting an Empyrean Trace, interacting with the Verteron Monolith, and obtaining a Revelation Amulet Enhance Scroll.
The Asmodian episode has the same recommended level and introduces the Altgard Monolith. Recommended level is a quest recommendation, not proof of a universal level-16 collection restriction. Follow your faction's episode objectives to unlock and learn the system.
How Many Feathers Are in AION 2 Global?
The published progression tables record a requirement of 560 tokens at level 30 for each home-region Monolith and 300 at level 20 for the Ereshkigal Monolith. These are values in progression records; they do not, by themselves, verify the number of collectible locations on a live Global map.

How to Farm Feathers Efficiently
A practical collection strategy is to pick up nearby traces during normal questing, record what you have collected, and reserve a planned sweep for missing locations. Avoid delaying campaign progress for every distant marker.
- Collect nearby traces while leveling. Take manageable detours when the location is accessible.
- Work through one sub-area at a time. Group missing locations geographically to reduce travel.
- Check vertical terrain. Look above and below your route, and use flight where the area permits it.
- Combine collection with regional objectives. Check nearby locations while traveling between quests and other activities.
- Use a map that matches your service. Compare its markers with your own collection progress before revisiting an area.
- Plan Reshanta separately. Begin its collection route after meeting the entry conditions of the relevant Abyss area.
When reviewing the scope described on the AION 2 Feathers Farm page, check the intended region and client version. The product label alone does not establish which Monolith objectives apply to your character.
How Do You Use Feathers?
Empyrean Traces advance the matching regional track through Monolith Resonance. For example, the Verteron trace description identifies the Verteron Monolith as its resonance destination; it is not a universal token for every Monolith.
The basic progression loop is:
- Collect Empyrean Traces in the appropriate region.
- Unlock and access the corresponding Monolith.
- Check the displayed requirement and perform the available resonance.
- Claim the reward for the newly reached level.
- Continue as further levels become available.
The home-region Monolith is their main progression use. Its listed rewards should not be confused with direct Stigma or ordinary Daevanion upgrades. The test records also contain an additional home-trace conversion after Monolith level 30, covered in the FAQ.
What Do You Get From the Home Monolith?
The Verteron and Altgard Playtest tables contain matching reward quantities across levels 2–30. The totals below add those individual rewards together; they are the recorded track package, rather than a separate reward received entirely at level 30.

The checked home-region table does not list Wisdom Stones or Action Power among these rewards. Consequently, it does not support describing this recorded track as a direct Skill Point farm.
Use the rewards displayed by your Global client when planning upgrades. An older regional guide can explain the general collection system without accurately describing your current reward table.
How Do Feathers Upgrade the Revelation Amulet?
The connection is through the enhancement material: the recorded Monolith rewards include Revelation Amulet Enhance Scrolls, whose item description identifies the Revelation Amulet as their target.
The introductory Monolith episode demonstrates this by requiring you to obtain a scroll through resonance. Do not automatically count that objective as an extra scroll on top of the complete Monolith reward table.
Collecting traces therefore supplies materials for developing the amulet as well as the other Monolith rewards. This establishes an upgrade source, but does not guarantee that the amulet remains the best accessory throughout every future update.
Follow the amulet's own enhancement requirements. Do not assume that the same scroll can enhance an ordinary necklace, ring, or another accessory.
What Are Abyss Feathers Used For?
The recorded Reshanta token is Empyrean Trace: Reshanta. It resonates with the Ereshkigal Monolith, whose progression records exist for both factions and differ from the home-region reward package.
The Playtest Ereshkigal track has 20 recorded levels, with a token requirement of 300 in the final-level row. Its level rewards include Azphel Daevanion Crystals, Unique Amplify Stone Fragments, titles, and PvP attribute increases.
Adding the rewards across one faction's recorded track gives:
- 52 Daevanion Crystal: Azphel (Bound);
- 36 Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) (Bound);
- two title items;
- PvP Attack, Defense, Accuracy, Evasion, and Block increases at different milestones.
Each listed Azphel crystal grants one Azphel Daevanion Point when used. This connects the Reshanta rewards to that specific progression system; it does not make home-region traces a universal source of Daevanion Points.

Can You Collect Feathers in the Enemy Faction's Region?
Access to opposing territory and eligibility for a Monolith are separate questions. Traveling through a Spacetime Rift does not automatically unlock the opposing faction's home-region progression track.
The checked records assign the Verteron Monolith to Elyos and the Altgard Monolith to Asmodians. Use your own faction's track when planning home-region resonance, rather than adding the opposing Monolith's requirements to your target.
These faction assignments do not prove that every enemy-region collectible is impossible to interact with. Check the object's requirements and the resulting token or collection progress in your client before treating enemy-region exploration as part of your Monolith route.
Are Feathers and Wing Featherdown the Same Thing?
No. Empyrean Traces and the wing materials named Featherdown are separate item categories with different purposes.

Build collection into the campaign first, then complete missing accessible locations when a planned route becomes worthwhile. Monolith progress does not need to become a reason to postpone every other activity until your collection is finished.

- Continue leveling without chasing every distant marker immediately.

Can I buy Empyrean Traces from another player?
The checked bound Verteron and Reshanta trace records mark personal trade as unavailable. Do not plan completion around buying those bound tokens from another player.
Can I use the Azphel crystals immediately after obtaining them?
The checked Daevanion Crystal: Azphel (Bound) record has a level-45 requirement. Obtaining a crystal and meeting its use requirement are separate steps.
Do home-region traces have a use after Monolith level 30?
The Playtest records contain conversions from Verteron or Altgard traces into Power Shards, requiring the matching Monolith at level 30. Check whether that conversion is enabled in your client before using any remaining traces.
