The AION 2 Halloween Event 2026, officially called Trick or Treat, is live on Global servers. During the event you can earn Halloween Pumpkin Coins from attendance and weekly missions, exchange them for limited rewards, craft Candy Keys and obtain the event-exclusive Spooky Scary Skeleton skin.
Quick answer: Trick or Treat runs from after the October 14 maintenance in Europe until before maintenance on November 4, 2026. Claim all 14 attendance rewards, complete the 10 weekly Event missions and buy the Special Halloween Chest for 250 Pumpkin Coins first. It contains the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals.
AION 2 Halloween Event Dates
| Event | Trick or Treat |
|---|---|
| Global Start | After scheduled maintenance on October 13 PDT / October 14 CEST |
| Global End | Before scheduled maintenance on November 3 PST / November 4 CET |
| Attendance Track | 14 claimed days |
| Daily Attendance Reset | 12:00 AM PDT / 9:00 AM CEST at event launch |
| Weekly Event Missions | 10 missions, once per week per server |
The event window is longer than the 14-day attendance track, so missing a single login does not automatically prevent you from completing every attendance reward.
How to Get Halloween Pumpkin Coins
There are two main Pumpkin Coin sources:
- Attendance: up to 620 coins.
- Weekly Event missions: up to 235 coins per weekly cycle.
The event covers approximately three weekly mission cycles. Completing all three would provide another 705 Pumpkin Coins, giving a theoretical event total of approximately 1,325 Pumpkin Coins.
Attendance and Event missions are tracked per server, so completing the same objectives on another character on the same server does not create a second full coin payout.

Best Weekly Halloween Route
Most Halloween missions overlap with content you should already be doing, so there is no reason to grind them individually.
- Claim the Attendance reward.
- Log in on three different days during the week.
- Complete one Expedition Conquest.
- Complete one Transcendence Dungeon.
- Clear any Nightmare Stage.
- Run Ascension Trial once.
- Participate in one Dimensional Invasion.
- Participate in one Shugo Festival.
- Kill 10 monsters during an Abyss session.
- Use five Scrolls and obtain one Unique Gear item during your normal progression.
Expedition and Transcendence are especially efficient because they also provide Candy Key Fragments for the second Halloween reward system.
Where Is the Halloween Coin Merchant?
| Faction | Region | Merchant Locations |
|---|---|---|
| Elyos | Verteron | Dawn Legion Base / Zumion Village |
| Asmodian | Altgard | Safe Haven / Nornir Assembly |
You do not need to visit every merchant. Each faction has convenient access points in its main region.

What Should You Buy First?
1. Special Halloween Chest
This is the clear first purchase for almost every player.
The chest costs 250 Pumpkin Coins and contains both:
- Spooky Scary Skeleton (Skin: Breastplate) (Bound)
- 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals
The 14-day attendance track alone gives enough currency to buy it.
2. Odyle Energy and Lower Abyss Rift Stones at Level 45
For active endgame players, these are among the strongest repeatable progression purchases.
Buying the weekly maximum costs:
- Odyle Energy: 40 coins per week.
- Lower Abyss Rift Stones: 60 coins per week.
That is only 100 Pumpkin Coins per week for both.
3. Tickets for Content You Actually Run
Prioritize Instant Clear Tickets, Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Tickets and Shugo Festival Reward Keys according to the activities you regularly complete.
See our AION 2 Nightmare Guide and Shugo Festival Guide for those systems.
4. Skin Chest for Cosmetic Players
If cosmetics matter more to you than progression materials, the weekly Skin Chests can move much higher in your priority list.
5. Consumables Last
Life Crystals, Resurrection Spiritstones, Candy and Cookies are useful but generally less important than the limited progression rewards above.
Can You Buy Everything?
The fixed server-wide purchases are surprisingly affordable.
Excluding unlimited Superior Power Shards, the major one-time and weekly server purchases cost approximately:
- 250 coins for the Special Halloween Chest.
- 258 coins per week for all capped weekly server items.
- 774 coins across three weekly cycles.
That is 1,024 coins before per-character consumables.
For one character, buying the full Life Crystal, Candy and Cookie limits adds another 80 coins. A theoretical 1,325-coin event total therefore gives enough room to buy essentially all fixed purchases for one main character and still have currency left for additional Power Shards.
Halloween Candy Keys
The event has a second reward system that does not use Pumpkin Coins.
Completing Expedition and Transcendence Dungeons can provide Candy Key Fragments (Event).
Open Event Substance Morph and exchange:
| Key | Cost | Success | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Candy Key | 60 Candy Key Fragments | 100% | 1 per server/week |
| Yellow Candy Key | 60 Candy Key Fragments | 100% | 1 per server/week |
| Blue Candy Key | 60 Candy Key Fragments | 100% | 1 per server/week |
You therefore need 180 Candy Key Fragments to craft all three weekly keys.
Red, Yellow or Blue Candy — Which Is Best?
| Candy | Rewards | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Red | 20 Growth Pet Chests, 10 Battle Enhance Scrolls, 5 Halloween Candy, 5 Halloween Cookies | Pet progression |
| Yellow | 10,000 Abyss Points, 10 Life Crystals, 5 Candy, 5 Cookies | PvP / Abyss progression |
| Blue | 4 Odyle Energy, 10 Resurrection Spiritstones, 5 Candy, 5 Cookies | PvE progression |
If you have enough fragments, craft all three. If you must choose, there is no universal best key: Red favors pets, Yellow favors Abyss progress and Blue favors additional PvE reward capacity.
Halloween Candy and Cookie Effects
Halloween Candy grants Attack +25, Defense +250, Max Stamina +300 and +40% Natural Stamina Regeneration for five minutes.
Halloween Cookie grants Max HP +500, Max MP +250, Max Stamina +300 and +40% Natural Stamina Regeneration for five minutes.

Are the Paid Halloween Skins Part of Trick or Treat?
No. The free Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate comes from the Pumpkin Coin event, while the Halloween Night weapon skins, outfits, pets, wings and Atelier cosmetics are sold through the separate Halloween shop rotation.
We cover those cosmetics separately so this page remains focused on the free Trick or Treat event.
