AION 2 Server Transfer lets you move eligible characters from your current Global server to another compatible server without restarting your character progression. The first Global transfer period begins in October 2026 and uses different windows for Early Access and Launch Servers.

Current status: Server Transfer is not open yet on October 12. Transfers for Early Access Servers are scheduled to open after maintenance on October 13 PDT / October 14 CEST. Launch Server transfers begin after the following maintenance on October 20 PDT / October 21 CEST.

When Do AION 2 Server Transfers Start?

The two groups are deliberately separated. During the first week the transfer service is for Early Access Servers. During the second week it is for Launch Servers.
An Early Access character cannot use this transfer window to jump to a Launch Server. Transfers from Early Access Servers are limited to other eligible Early Access Servers.
AION 2 Server Transfer Hours by Region
Transfers are not available 24 hours per day. Applications are accepted only during specific regional windows.

If the Server Transfer option is unavailable even though your character meets the requirements, first check whether you are inside the application window. Applications can also close when the transfer capacity of the departure or destination server has been reached.
How Much Does an AION 2 Server Transfer Cost?
The first announced Global Server Transfer has a 0 Quna base cost, and transferring eligible characters also costs 0 Quna per character.
The potential cost comes from character slots on the destination server. If the destination does not have enough available slots, additional slots cost 1,000 Quna each.
For example, if you transfer six characters but have only four available character slots on the destination server, you need two additional slots for a total of 2,000 Quna.

AION 2 Server Transfer Requirements
Before the purchase button becomes available, all selected characters must meet the official conditions.
- Characters must be level 10 or higher.
- The characters being transferred must be on the same departure server.
- The transfer must remain within the same region.
- The transfer must remain within the same faction.
- The character must be located in a village.
- You cannot apply from the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon.
- The character cannot be a member of a Legion.
- There cannot be a pending Legion membership application.
- The character cannot have an active Duty Mission.
- There must be no unclaimed Market items, sales or proceeds.
- There must be no unclaimed items in Shop Storage, including Founder's Pack items.
- There must be no unclaimed mail on the transferring character.
Legion warning: leave your Legion and clear any pending Legion application before the transfer window. A server transfer is not available while the character remains in a Legion.
Can You Transfer to a Server Where You Already Have Characters?
Yes. You can transfer to a compatible destination where you already have characters, but that server must have enough character slots for everything you are moving.
Your character-slot expansions on the old server do not automatically move to the destination server. If additional slots are required, they can be added during the transfer for 1,000 Quna each, subject to the destination's maximum slot capacity.
Can You Change Faction or Region?
No. Server Transfer does not function as a faction or regional transfer.
- Elyos characters can transfer only to an eligible server of the same faction.
- Asmodian characters can transfer only to an eligible server of the same faction.
- EU characters remain inside the Europe region.
- NA East and NA West are separate regions for transfer purposes.
- Early Access characters remain in the eligible Early Access server pool during their transfer period.

What Happens to Your Character Name?
Your character is assigned a temporary name after the transfer even if your previous name is not currently taken on the destination server.
When you log into the transferred character for the first time, you choose a new name. If your previous character name is already in use on the destination server, you cannot reclaim that name.
Your friends' lists will update to the new character name after it is set.
What Transfers With Your Character?
Most important character progression and account systems transfer to the destination server.

What Does Not Transfer?
The biggest exception is Server Storage contents.
Items and Kina stored inside Server Storage do not move with the character. If you want to keep them, move them to the transferring character's Cube inventory or Character Storage before applying.
The Server Storage expansion record is handled separately, but the actual items inside the storage are not transferred.
The mail block list is also listed as non-transferable in the official transfer summary.
Does Character Storage Transfer?
Yes. Character Storage and the items inside it transfer with the character. Purchased Character Storage expansions also carry over.
This is different from Server Storage, whose stored items do not transfer.
Does Kina Transfer?
Yes, but location matters.
Kina in the transferring character's Cube inventory and Character Storage moves to the destination server. Kina left inside Server Storage does not transfer.
Do Quna and Mileage Transfer?
Yes. Quna and Mileage from the departure server are transferred and added to the balances already present on the destination server.
What Happens to Genus Insight?
For Genus Insight, you can choose either the progression from your current server or the progression already present on the destination server.
Whichever option you select becomes the relevant destination progression, while Genus Insight on the departure server is reset as part of the transfer.
How to Transfer Servers in AION 2
- Wait for the correct transfer period for your server type and region.
- Clear Market sales, unclaimed Shop Storage items and unclaimed mail.
- Leave your Legion and cancel any pending Legion application.
- Finish or remove active Duty Missions.
- Move anything you want from Server Storage into Cube or Character Storage.
- Move the character to a village.
- Open In-Game Shop → Server Transfer during your region's application hours.
- Select the eligible characters and destination server.
- Add destination character slots if required.
- Review the request carefully before confirming it.
Final check: once a completed Server Transfer request has been processed, it cannot be canceled or reversed.
How Long Does a Server Transfer Take?
NC says a server transfer takes at least one minute, but processing can take longer when many requests are queued.
Once processing begins, you are returned to the title screen and cannot log into the account until the transfer finishes. PURPLE users receive a PUSH notification when processing is complete.
Why Is Server Transfer Unavailable?
The transfer button can remain unavailable for several different reasons:
- You are outside your region's daily application window.
- The transfer period for your server type has not started.
- The departure server has reached its transfer capacity.
- The destination server has reached its transfer capacity.
- Your character is below level 10.
- You are still in a Legion.
- You have an active Duty Mission.
- You have Market items, proceeds, Shop Storage items or mail waiting to be claimed.
- You are not currently in a village.
- The selected destination is in another region, faction or incompatible server group.

AION 2 Server Transfer Summary
The first Global AION 2 Server Transfer is effectively free for characters when the destination already has enough character slots. Early Access transfers begin after the October 13/14 maintenance, while Launch Server transfers begin one week later.
The main restrictions are same region, same faction, compatible server type, level 10+, no Legion membership and no unresolved Market, Shop Storage or mail items. Move anything important out of Server Storage before submitting the request.
