AION 2 Server List (NA, EU, Asia) & How to Pick

AION 2 Server List (NA, EU, Asia) & How to Pick

The AION 2 Global server list is official for Advanced Access. NC has announced separate server groups for Europe, NA West, NA East, Latin America, and Asia. Each home server belongs to one faction: Elyos and Asmodians live on separate servers. Opposing servers are then paired for faction warfare in activities such as the Abyss and Spacetime Rifts.

The initial lineup contains 20 servers: four Elyos/Asmodian pairs in Europe, two in NA East, two in Latin America, and one each in NA West and Asia. Advanced Access for Founder's Pack owners is scheduled to open September 30, 2026 at 13:00 UTC. The free-to-play Global launch follows on October 5 at 13:00 UTC.

Short answer: Choose your region first, then coordinate the same faction and home server with your friends or Legion. Check whether your group is starting during Advanced Access or at full launch, and do not choose a home server solely because of its initial opposing-faction pairing.

AION 2 Global Server List

NC's Steam announcement dated September 28 lists the starting Advanced Access servers below. Several names repeat across regions, so “Siel” or “Israphel” alone is not enough when coordinating with other players: include the region and faction.

NA EastSiel; NezekanIsraphel; Zikel
Latin AmericaSiel; NezekanIsraphel; Zikel

Important: This table covers the announced Advanced Access lineup. NC's launch plan also provides for a second wave called Launch Servers at full release. Do not treat the September 30 list as the complete October 5 lineup or invent names for additional servers.

AION 2 Elyos and Asmodian Server Pairings

AION 2 separates the two factions into different home servers. An Elyos character belongs to an Elyos server, while an Asmodian character belongs to an Asmodian server. NC pairs opposing servers so their populations can meet in faction-versus-faction activities.

The initial Advanced Access pairings are:

NA West1SielIsraphel
NA East1SielIsraphel
NA East2NezekanZikel
Latin America1SielIsraphel
Latin America2NezekanZikel
Asia1SielIsraphel

For example, Europe Siel Elyos players initially face Europe Israphel Asmodians in the applicable cross-faction activities. Europe Nezekan is paired with Zikel, Vaizel with Triniel, and Kaisinel with Lumiel.

This pairing does not turn Siel and Israphel into one shared home server. They remain separate faction servers connected through the relevant cross-faction modes.

Can AION 2 Server Pairings Change?

Yes. NC says pairings will be updated periodically to maintain faction balance. A server's initial opposing-faction match is therefore not permanent. The earlier launch plan also describes post-launch PvP matchmaking based on server progression and strength.

Do not choose Siel instead of Nezekan solely because you prefer its initial opponent. Your region, faction, friends, Legion, and home-server community are more useful foundations for a long-term choice.

How to Pick the Best AION 2 Server

There is no officially designated best server. Start with three decisions: the region that works for your connection and group, the faction you will play, and the home server your community has chosen.

1. Choose the Correct Region

Choose the region that offers a suitable connection and matches the people you intend to play with. The announced Global server groups are Europe, NA West, NA East, Latin America, and Asia.

NC's Global FAQ confirms server locations in North America, South America, Europe, and Japan. The Advanced Access server announcement does not identify individual datacenter cities or provide guaranteed latency figures.

  • Europe: Start here when comparing connection options for a European group.
  • NA East: Compare this region if you and your group are better served by eastern North America.
  • NA West: Compare this region if you and your group are better served by western North America.
  • Latin America: The dedicated Latin American server group; NC's FAQ confirms a South American server location.
  • Asia: The Global Asian server group; NC's FAQ identifies Japan as its Asian server location.

A familiar name from the original AION does not make a distant region a better choice. Compare your actual connection where possible, and agree on the region before selecting a home server.

2. Coordinate Your Faction Before Choosing a Server

Your faction determines the home servers available to you. In the announced lineup, Israphel is an Asmodian server and Siel is an Elyos server in every listed region.

If you plan to play with friends or join a specific Legion, agree on the faction first and then select the same region and faction server.

The server announcement provides no basis for declaring one faction stronger in combat. For server selection, the decisive issue is which side your group will join. The AION 2 Elyos vs Asmodians Guide covers the faction decision separately.

3. Follow Your Friends or Legion

A coordinated group is usually more useful than guessing which server will become the most populated. If your Legion chooses Europe Vaizel Elyos, another European Elyos server gives you a different home-server community, even though regional dungeon matchmaking can connect players across servers.

Coordinate the full combination before creating your main character:

  • Region
  • Faction
  • Server

For example, “EU — Elyos — Vaizel” identifies the complete choice. “EU — Elyos — Siel” also avoids confusion with the Siel servers in the other regions.

Which AION 2 EU Server Should You Choose?

Europe has the largest announced Advanced Access selection, with four home servers for each faction.

AION 2 Europe servers
ElyosInitially paired Asmodian server
SielIsraphel
NezekanZikel
VaizelTriniel
KaisinelLumiel

NC's server announcement does not designate individual European worlds as English, German, French, Russian, PvP, PvE, hardcore, or casual servers. A community's unofficial server choice is not an official language or ruleset designation.

If your group has no preference, the announcement gives no reason to rank Siel, Nezekan, Vaizel, or Kaisinel as objectively superior. Choose with your group and check current availability; future population cannot be established from server names or starting pairings.

AION 2 NA East and NA West Servers

North America has separate NA East and NA West groups rather than one combined regional pool.

NA West begins Advanced Access with one pair:

  • Elyos: Siel
  • Asmodian: Israphel

NA East begins with two pairs:

  • Siel ↔ Israphel
  • Nezekan ↔ Zikel

If your group is spread across North America, agree on East or West before selecting a faction server. Region-wide dungeon matchmaking should not be interpreted as matchmaking between NA East and NA West, and the server announcement does not supply exact ping values for either group.

AION 2 Latin America and Asia Servers

Latin America's announced Advanced Access lineup contains two Elyos/Asmodian pairs:

  • Siel ↔ Israphel
  • Nezekan ↔ Zikel

The Asia region begins Advanced Access with one pair:

  • Siel ↔ Israphel

NC's Global FAQ confirms server locations in South America and Japan. The Advanced Access server announcement labels the corresponding groups as Latin America and ASIA. The Global Asia group should not be confused with the existing Korean or Taiwanese regional service.

Are Advanced Access and Launch Servers the Same?

NC distinguishes Early Access Servers from the second wave called Launch Servers. Advanced Access requires a Founder's Pack and is scheduled to run from September 30, 2026 at 13:00 UTC until October 5 at 05:00 UTC. Maintenance is scheduled for October 5 from 05:00 to 13:00 UTC, followed by the free-to-play launch. NC warns that maintenance times may change.

Early Access Servers continue into the launch period; they are not the temporary Launch Scale Test worlds. Under NC's published plan, players without a Founder's Pack can also join an Early Access server at full launch if that server remains open and available. Joining a particular world is therefore conditional, not guaranteed.

Launch Servers are planned to open at full release, so the table above should not be presented as their complete lineup. NC has also committed to a Server Transfer Service, but the announcements checked do not establish a guaranteed transfer date, price, or eligible routes. Do not assume an Advanced Access character can immediately move to a new Launch Server.

For the complete release and access schedule, see the AION 2 Global Release Guide.

Does AION 2 Global Have Name Reservation?

The Global server and launch notices checked do not announce a separate pre-launch character-name reservation period. The October 2025 reservation event belonged to the original regional launch and should not be presented as a Global 2026 event.

Founder's Pack owners can begin live character creation when Advanced Access opens on September 30, ahead of players joining on October 5. Earlier character creation is not the same as a separately announced name-reservation event.

The checked Global announcements do not establish the complete naming rules or the scope of name uniqueness. Do not automatically apply the 2025 regional reservation rules to Global; use the Global character-creation interface and any dedicated naming notice.

What Should You Pick If You Want to Play With Friends?

For the same home-server experience and a coordinated Legion, agree on all three choices before creating your main characters.

  1. Choose the same geographical region.
  2. Choose Elyos or Asmodians together.
  3. Select the same faction server inside that region.

Pairing opposing-faction servers is not a promise that their players can quest together. The matchmaking announcement describes those pairings as connections for faction warfare in modes such as Spacetime Rifts and the Abyss.

Different home servers do not prevent all group play: NC's launch plan provides regional dungeon matchmaking across Early Access servers, expanding to include Launch Servers at release. This does not make the home servers identical or guarantee every activity is shared. If some friends wait until October 5, check whether your Advanced Access server is still available to them and agree on a backup plan.

AION 2 Server Choice Mistakes to Avoid

The most avoidable mistakes concern faction assignment, regional separation, and the difference between Advanced Access and full-launch servers.

  • Choosing only by server name: Siel and Israphel exist in several regions, so always include the region.
  • Picking your server before your faction: Elyos and Asmodians have separate home-server lists.
  • Following an opposing server: Initial pairings can change and should not determine your home server.
  • Assuming an EU server has an official language: Community preferences are not official language designations in NC's server announcement.
  • Inventing exact latency: The announcement does not provide datacenter cities or guaranteed ping values.
  • Treating the Advanced Access list as the full launch list: NC's plan distinguishes the initial worlds from a later wave of Launch Servers; immediate transfers are not guaranteed.
  • Confusing server pairing with cooperative play: Opposing-server pairing serves faction warfare; regional dungeon matchmaking is a separate system.

AION 2 Server List FAQ

These answers cover additional access and coordination questions.

Do I need the most expensive Founder's Pack for Advanced Access?
No. Advanced Access is included in the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Founder's Packs.

What should our group do if its chosen server is unavailable?
Agree on a backup server in the same region and faction before creating your mains. Do not assume a later transfer will immediately reunite characters created on different worlds.

Does priority queue access guarantee immediate entry?
No. NC describes priority queue access for members in good standing as a privilege, not a guarantee. Entry still depends on space becoming available, and eligibility can be revoked for disciplinary or suspected Terms of Service violations.

Conclusion

Choose your region, coordinate the faction with your group, and select a shared home server. The announced Advanced Access lineup contains 20 servers across five regions, with Europe offering the largest selection. Players joining on October 5 must also consider the separate Launch Servers and availability of existing worlds. Initial enemy-server pairings can change, and future transfers should not replace a coordinated starting choice.
