The Bloodied Jewel, Diablo Immortal's Patch 5.0, went live on June 17, 2026, and it is the biggest single update since the game launched: the Warlock arrives as the 10th class, the port city of Lut Gholein opens as a new zone under Andariel's control, Server Paragon jumps to 1500 with three new Inferno XIII-XV difficulties, Challenge Rift Season 19 raises the cap to 850, three new Legendary Gems enter the pool with one claimable for free, and Ancient Legendary equipment moves exclusively to the new top difficulties. Below is everything that matters in the update, what it changes for your progression, and where the time sinks are.
The Warlock: Diablo Immortal's 10th Class

Timed to Diablo's 30th Anniversary, the Warlock is a summoner of demons, master of portals, and wielder of Hell's power, rooted in the forbidden Vizjerei demonology of Diablo lore and partnered with the monstrous Soulgorger. It is the first new class since the Druid and brings the roster to ten: Barbarian, Blood Knight, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Druid, Monk, Necromancer, Tempest, Warlock, and Wizard.
Three Warlock-exclusive launch events ran through July 6: the Power's Price origin questline, the Forbidden Trials speedrun race through a Warlock-only version of Mad King's Breach with leaderboard rewards, and Hellbent Chase, a Fractured Plane mode with four preset level 60 Warlock builds to test-drive the class. One competitive note: the Warlock is excluded from Bout of Realms Challenge of Equals Season 2 while Blizzard gathers balance data, so if you main the new class, tournament play waits until next season.
If you are starting a Warlock from scratch, remember that the Paragon catch-up curve applies to it like any fresh character, and our Diablo Immortal boosting services cover Warlock leveling, essence farming, and endgame preparation from day one.
New Zone: Lut Gholein

The Jewel of the Desert from Diablo II returns, overrun by demons in thrall to Andariel, Maiden of Anguish. The new Common Ward subzone opens the captured city's docks, gutters, taverns, and ruined homes, with new enemies, bounties, and wanted monsters, while other districts stay sealed for future updates.
The bigger structural change is how the story unlocks: any character at Paragon 90 can start the Lut Gholein main questline directly from the quest panel, skipping all earlier story chapters, and switch freely between the old and new storylines with progress saved on both. For alts and returning players this removes weeks of prerequisite content between you and the current story.

Paragon 1500, Inferno XIII-XV, and the New Legendary Paragon Skills
Server Paragon jumps to 1500, three new difficulties (Inferno XIII, XIV, XV) open, and everyone below 1500 rides the most generous catch-up ladder the game has ever had: +1,500% experience with 3 bonus Paragon levels per level gained all the way to 1,099, tapering down through +800% at 1,400-1,449 and scaling bonuses up to the cap. A fresh 60 can now cross in days what used to take months.
Four new Legendary Paragon Skills unlock at Paragon 1500, at the usual 80 points each. Whirling Flames turns Firestorm into a forward-rushing flame that damages, Burns, and knocks back, tripling on Wildfire procs. Elusive Strides grants stacking Movement Speed when you take damage and control-loss immunity at max stacks. Concentrated Aggression shields you when using a Channeled Skill and speeds channeling by 20%. Overpowering Blows adds a second hit when your damage exceeds 15% of a target's maximum Life, with a Stun on targets below half health. The full package costs 320 points and carries the largest persistent stat payout in the system. For the complete breakdown of the current system, see our Diablo Immortal Paragon guide, and if the climb to 1500 does not fit your schedule, the Paragon Level Boost covers any range.
Ancient Legendary Equipment Moves to Inferno XIII+
The top gear tier got restructured. Five new Shoulder-slot Ancient Legendary items were added, Chest-slot Ancients remain available, and from now on Ancient Legendary items can only be acquired and crafted from Inferno XIII and above. Inferno X-XII no longer drops them, with leftover lower-tier crafting materials convertible into Mythic Crystals for enchanting.
The acquisition loop is unchanged in shape: reach Paragon 1500, unlock Inferno XIII, collect 100 crafting materials from Helliquary bosses, Daily Activity Chests, and Daily Dungeon Rewards, then craft at the Blacksmith, with rare direct drops from Terror Rifts, Oblivion Pillars, Erebban, and other endgame activities. Two forward-looking notes from the patch: Ancients with Item Level 1500+ now support Enchantment Reversion (you can roll back a replaced Magic Attribute), and Blizzard plans to rotate Ancient slots going forward, retiring the oldest slot whenever a new one is added so no more than two are active at once. The practical takeaway: Paragon 1500 is now a hard gate in front of the strongest equipment in the game.
Three New Legendary Gems, One Free

Three gems joined the pool. Interminus Stone boosts damage and Evasion while moving. The Jolted Eye turns Critical Hits into a lightning blast that Shocks nearby enemies and stacks bonus damage per Shocked target. Hellbound Desire, the headliner, raises damage and Movement Speed and embeds stacking Soul Shard Fragments into enemies that amplify your damage against them and shorten their beneficial effects.
The giveaway matters: through July 7, every account can claim one free SSR Hellbound Desire via the Battle.net webstore, and until July 29 the Gem Skill Trial at the Market lets you test a Rank 10, 5-star version free for one hour in designated content. Elder Rifts also run a boosted pool until July 29 where a max-star drop has a 50% chance to be Hellbound Desire, which makes this window unusually good value for Crest-empowered rift farming. After the event, the least-used gem in the standard pool rotates out, continuing the retirement cycle that already removed several older gems this year.
Helliquary Gauntlet: The Pitbound and Cross-Server Rankings

The Gauntlet expands to the new difficulties with the Pitbound boss lineup out of the Aranoch Desert: Gulakht the Night Clan Trickster, Shackled Maw the Primordial Soulgorger, and Yradus the False Seer. Clearing Inferno XIII, XIV, and XV Gauntlets rewards the Seekers of Riddergrove Sunrise Weapon, Armor, and Portal cosmetics respectively, and the Inferno XV Gauntlet adds 3 Legendary Crests on top of the usual Demonic Remains, Set Items, Legendary gear, and experience.
Competitive players get a new prestige layer: cross-server regional leaderboards alongside the existing server rankings, with first-clear broadcast announcements. Server-first achievements stay unchanged, so both racing formats coexist on the same menu page.
Challenge Rift Season 19: Cap Raised to 850
The Challenge Rift ceiling moves from 800 to 850, with levels 831-850 as the season's hardest tiers, while last season's high-end levels (781-800) got reduced Combat Rating and damage requirements to widen the funnel. The first player on each server to clear level 850 earns an exclusive avatar frame that stays visible until Season 20. If you are stuck at a Combat Rating wall short of the new tiers, our Challenge Rift completion service pushes through the exact levels you need.
New Set, Retired Sets, and Smarter Loot
Houlga's Hunger is the new eight-piece Set built on a risk-reward loop: taking damage rends your flesh for self-damage but grants +18% Critical Hit Chance, stacks of Hunger convert into healing and +36% Critical Hit Damage on feeding, and the six-piece bonus adds a 40% Attack and Movement Speed burst. It is the most aggressive tank-flavored Set design in the game right now.
In parallel, the loot pools got a cleanup. Four Sets (Windloft Perfection, Skybreaker's Bolt, Prayer for Endwinter, Wildfire Imperative) left the drop pool and became Legacy Equipment, along with a batch of underused Legendary Essences refunded via Loyalty Bonus Points. Dungeon drop tables were redistributed, so with fewer Sets competing per dungeon, targeting the piece you need got noticeably easier. Everyone received 3 Legendary Crests by mail as compensation.
One quiet but significant economy change: Magic and Rare items from Inferno XIII+ received massively increased base attributes, upgrade caps matching Legendary (+30) and Set (+25) items, and the ability to inherit extracted Legendary Essences. Combined with randomized Combat Rating ranges on high-quality Legendary drops at Paragon 1500+, gear evaluation at the top end is now less about rarity color and more about the actual roll.
Events, Balance, and Quality of Life
The Bloodied Jewel event ran through July 6 with weekly-capped Champions' Commendations buying Legendary Crests, Telluric Pearls, and Legendary gear. The Beacon of Hope Phantom Market with Auriel-themed cosmetics runs until July 17. Balance changes were light this patch: Barbarian's Bonegyre gained knockback and stacking damage reduction, Crusader's defensive essences got meaningful buffs (Shield Wall to 35% reduction, Concordance Axis converted to a 35% damage-taken debuff), and Tempest's Scudding Verge got faster resolution and a shorter cooldown.
Quality of life adds up: direct Battleground access from the new Party and PvP menu without traveling to the NPC, a PvP quest filter in the Battle Pass, Fabled Wisps for Inferno XIII-XV with a 7:1 upward exchange for older wisps, automatic activation settings for Kion's Ordeal, batch tools for clan and faction management, and a Hero's Journey reset with new chapters and a desert-themed frame at Chapter 4.
What to Prioritize Right Now
Three windows matter most. Claim the free SSR Hellbound Desire before July 7 if you have not, farm Crest-empowered Elder Rifts while the 50% Hellbound Desire pool runs through July 29, and start the Paragon climb now while the catch-up ladder to 1500 is at full strength, because the Server Paragon keeps rising +10 weekly and the entire top gear tier sits behind Inferno XIII. Whether it is Warlock leveling, the Paragon 1500 push, Helliquary Gauntlet clears on the new difficulties, or Challenge Rift 850, the ExpCarry team is already running all of it on every server and platform.
