WARDOGS Season 2 Guide: Wipe, New Weapons & Changes

Updated October 14, 2026. Based on BULKHEAD's Season 02 Preview and Road to Season 02 devlog. Final balance patch notes and the Season 2 maintenance window were still pending at the time of this update.

When Does WARDOGS Season 2 Start?

WARDOGS Season 2 launches on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Season 1 ends as the game moves into its first major seasonal reset during Early Access.

BULKHEAD has confirmed the date, but an exact Season 2 start time and final maintenance window have not yet been published. Avoid relying on unofficial countdowns until the studio posts the release-day schedule.

Does WARDOGS Season 2 Have a Wipe?

Yes. The end of Season 1 brings the first full WARDOGS seasonal progression reset. BULKHEAD has explained that your seasonal cash and progression are reset, while outstanding savings are automatically exchanged into Gold at their end-of-season value.

The important distinction is between seasonal progression and the game's developing long-term account progression. The developers have also said that historical XP earned during Early Access is being banked for future systems such as Player Skills. Those systems are separate from your Season 2 starting level.

What resets in Season 2?

  • Seasonal Cash balance resets as Cash.
  • Seasonal XP and progression reset.
  • You return to the beginning of the new seasonal progression path.
  • The Season 2 progression curve and item order can differ from Season 1.

What carries over?

  • Remaining Season 1 savings are automatically exchanged into Gold according to the end-of-season value.
  • Gold belongs to the persistent side of the account economy.
  • Permanent cosmetic progress remains separate from seasonal leveling.
  • Historical XP is being tracked for future long-term progression systems.

The exact Season 2 unlock order and every individual item transition should be checked against the released build rather than assumed from Season 1. We will update our WARDOGS progression guide once the new progression path is live.

WARDOGS Season 2 New Weapons

Season 2 adds four confirmed firearms, with additional attachments arriving alongside them.

WeaponTypeWhat We Know
TCX SpearAssault RifleA new assault-rifle platform intended to add another hard-hitting option to the infantry weapon pool.
M14DMRA new marksman weapon and another ranged option for Recon-oriented play.
PP-19 BizonSMGA new SMG entering the close-range weapon pool, with additional attachment support.
Evo-3 UltraLMGA new Support-focused LMG built around sustained fire.

Do not treat a Season 1 weapon ranking as final after the update. Damage, recoil and suppression are also being rebalanced, so the actual meta needs to be retested in the live Season 2 build. We will reflect those results in our WARDOGS weapon tier list.

New Molotov Throwable

Season 2 adds the Molotov, a throwable incendiary designed for direct damage and area denial. It can be thrown overarm or underarm, splashes fire on impact and damages players caught inside its effective area.

Its main tactical value should be controlling entrances, enclosed positions and routes rather than replacing anti-vehicle explosives.

WARDOGS Season 2 New Vehicles

Four vehicles have been confirmed for the new season.

VehicleRole
Wolf-110Fast light wheeled transport
Wolf-110 AssaultArmed Wolf-110 with a ring-mounted M2 Browning
T-72Main battle tank; slower than the Leopard but cheaper and more fuel-efficient
Flakpanzer GepardDedicated anti-air vehicle

The new vehicle roster matters beyond raw combat power because Season 2 also includes vehicle-handling changes and a different progression structure. Check our progression guide after launch for confirmed unlock requirements rather than using Season 1 levels.

Three New Buildables

Builders and logistics players get three new construction options:

  • MG Nest — a manned M2 Browning emplacement.
  • Large Shelter — a large metal structure designed to cover important assets and provide protection from the new weather conditions.
  • Wooden Step — a simple utility buildable for improving access around constructed positions.

Season 2 also changes parts of the construction and logistics loop. If you play Support, review our WARDOGS FOB and building guide after the patch because pre-update supply assumptions may no longer be optimal.

Rain Changes Visibility and Sound

Season 2 introduces a dedicated rain weather preset. This is more than a visual effect: BULKHEAD says it changes visibility, engagement distance and sound.

Rain interacts with damaged and destroyed structures, while server-synchronised thunder can temporarily mask footsteps. That creates short windows for movement, pushes some fights toward shorter engagement ranges and makes audio timing more important.

Players focused on visibility and performance should also revisit the best WARDOGS graphics and visibility settings once the rain build is live.

What Is the Wager Vendor?

The Wager Vendor is an experimental Season 2 economy feature that lets you stake Cash on your own performance.

You choose objectives, decide how many deaths you are willing to spend completing them and set a stake. Combining multiple objectives increases the risk and potential payout. A live tracker appears above the minimap so you can follow the wager during the match.

BULKHEAD describes this as an Early Access experiment. It may be adjusted heavily or even removed during the season if the system proves too exploitable, so avoid treating early payout values as permanent.

Major Season 2 Balance Changes

Infrared Rangefinder

The Infrared Rangefinder returns with a new limitation: it now requires batteries. This follows its temporary removal from the vendor before Season 2.

Heavy and Super Heavy Helmets

The Super Heavy Helmet gains meaningful drawbacks. It muffles audio, restricts the field of view and can fog while sprinting. Heavy and Super Heavy helmets also receive stronger suppression resistance, giving them a clearer defensive role instead of acting only as additional damage protection.

Weapon combat balance

BULKHEAD is adjusting weapon damage, recoil and suppression to create clearer differences between weapon classes. Because these changes can reorder the meta, exact Season 2 weapon rankings should come from live testing after the patch rather than pre-release theorycrafting.

Logistics and teamplay

The developers are also changing progression rewards, logistics and squad coordination. The Road to Season 2 devlog specifically discusses making systems such as mortars and drills require more teamwork and resources, while repeated supply deliveries are being given additional incentives.

That makes existing artillery knowledge useful, but firing and resource assumptions should be verified after launch. Our WARDOGS artillery and mortar calculator will be updated if Season 2 changes the relevant firing data.

Lonestar and Blue Team Changes

Season 2 directly addresses Lonestar's lower win rate and the community's tendency to avoid the Blue faction.

  • All faction spawn positions on Bakurani have been moved.
  • Lonestar uniforms are more desaturated to reduce their visibility disadvantage.
  • Lonestar receives Season 2 Cash and XP win bonuses.
  • Lonestar also receives Season 2 Cash and XP multipliers.
  • Any team at least 40 points behind second place receives a 20% vendor discount.

The exact impact on faction population will only become clear after launch, but players focused on fast early progression should pay attention to the faction reward system rather than automatically choosing the same team they played in Season 1.

What to Do Before the Season 2 Reset

  1. Do not grind Season 1 levels expecting them to remain. Seasonal progression is being reset.
  2. Understand your Cash position. Outstanding savings are scheduled to convert into Gold at the end-of-season value.
  3. Do not assume Season 1 unlock levels remain valid. The progression order can change between seasons.
  4. Record your important account state. Note your Gold, cosmetics and current progression before maintenance.
  5. Wait for the final patch notes before rebuilding meta loadouts. Weapon damage, recoil and suppression are changing.

For the economy side, see our WARDOGS money guide. We will revise it once Season 2 prices and progression rewards can be checked in the live build.

What to Do First in WARDOGS Season 2

The first hours of the new season should be treated as a fresh progression race rather than a continuation of Season 1.

  1. Check the new progression tracks before spending Cash.
  2. Identify which weapons and vehicles moved to new unlock levels.
  3. Compare Lonestar's XP and Cash bonuses before choosing a faction.
  4. Use inexpensive loadouts until the new economy is understood.
  5. Test the four new weapons before committing to a Season 2 meta build.
  6. Recheck graphics and visibility settings in rainy matches.
  7. Use Wager Vendor objectives only after you understand the risk and payout.

If you want to accelerate fresh progression after the reset, see our WARDOGS boosting services. Season 2 services should be selected based on the new progression path rather than Season 1 unlock requirements.

WARDOGS Season 2 Patch Notes Status

As of October 14, the official Season 02 Preview contains the major content and systems listed above, but BULKHEAD has not yet published the final full balance patch notes or maintenance schedule.

This page should therefore be updated again after the release build goes live. The highest-priority checks are the final progression curve, weapon values, unlock levels, vehicle prices, Wager Vendor payouts, Gold conversion details and any balance changes that were not part of the October 9 preview.
