WARDOGS Vehicle Tier List: Best Vehicles in Season 2

WARDOGS Vehicle Tier List: Best Vehicles in Season 2

WARDOGS Season 2 Vehicle Tier List

Season 2 changes how vehicles should be ranked. Several previously dominant armed vehicles became substantially more expensive, while the new Wolf-110 family, T-72B3 and Flakpanzer Gepard create cheaper or more specialized alternatives.

Our ranking is based on overall value in normal public matches, not a theoretical vehicle-versus-vehicle duel. A transport that moves an entire squad into the Control Zone can contribute more to winning than an expensive tank that spends most of the match driving or repairing.

TierVehiclesWhy
ST-72B3, Wolf-110, Z20 Lakota, UralExcellent value, clear battlefield role and useful in a large percentage of matches.
AWolf-110 [M2 Browning], L2A6, SPH-2, Flakpanzer Gepard, MH-6, Humvee [Minigun]Very strong but either more expensive, more specialized or more dependent on player skill and team support.
BZ20 Lakota [Miniguns], AH-6M [Miniguns], AH-6R [Rockets], Ural Defender, Ural Defender [M249], KodiakUseful vehicles with a real role, but their price or narrower use keeps them below the best-value picks.
CHavoc, Humvee [M249], Kodiak [M249], Bobcat, Dune BuggyNot useless, but usually outperformed in value by a cheaper or more flexible alternative.

Important: specialist vehicles can move between tiers depending on the match. A Gepard is not an S-tier purchase when the enemy has no serious air presence, but it can immediately become one of the most valuable vehicles on the map when hostile helicopters are controlling the battlefield.

Best WARDOGS Vehicles by Role

Best artillerySPH-2Long-range indirect fire and a much more accessible Driver progression path in Season 2.
Best entry helicopterMH-6Useful transport without paying for an expensive combat airframe.
Highest-cost attack optionHavocExtremely capable, but the new $28,000 price makes mistakes exceptionally expensive.

Why the Season 2 Vehicle Meta Changed

The biggest difference is economic. Update 0.2.0 increased the price of many armed vehicles, sometimes dramatically.

VehicleOld PriceSeason 2 Price
Kodiak [M249]$3,750$6,750
Humvee [M249]$3,750$8,500
Humvee [Minigun]$4,500$10,000
Ural Defender$6,000$7,200
Ural Defender [M249]$6,750$9,500
AH-6M [Miniguns]$7,000$12,000
AH-6R [Rockets]$12,500$18,800
Z20 Lakota [Miniguns]$8,000$15,000
L2A6$14,000$22,000
Havoc$18,000$28,000

This is why an old Season 1 tier list is misleading. A vehicle can be exactly as powerful as before and still become a worse purchase because the same death now costs far more Cash.

S Tier: Best Overall WARDOGS Vehicles

T-72B3 — Best Combat Vehicle for the Money

The T-72B3 is the most important new armored vehicle in Season 2. It costs $16,000 and unlocks at Driver level 20 for $250,000.

BULKHEAD positions it as an alternative to the L2A6: the T-72B3 is slower, but cheaper and more fuel-efficient. The $6,000 gap between the two main battle tanks matters because losing an MBT is not a rare theoretical event. Launchers, attack helicopters, other armor and bad positioning can erase a large investment quickly.

For most public matches, we prefer the T-72B3 because it gives a squad a real MBT without immediately committing $22,000 to every deployment.

Verdict: S Tier for overall armor value.

Wolf-110 — Best Budget Mobility

The unarmed Wolf-110 costs only $2,200 and unlocks at Driver level 8 for $50,000. Its role is simple: get people somewhere important without turning transportation into a major economic decision.

That matters more than it sounds. WARDOGS objectives can be far enough apart that arriving late effectively removes players from the fight. Cheap mobility lets you rotate, recover after a death and move smaller groups without risking an expensive combat vehicle.

The Wolf-110 is not S Tier because it wins fights. It is S Tier because it solves one of the most common problems in the game at a very low cost.

Z20 Lakota — Best Squad Transport

Air mobility remains one of the strongest force multipliers in WARDOGS. The unarmed Z20 Lakota combines fast movement with large transport and logistics utility without charging the extreme Season 2 premium attached to armed helicopters.

It is strongest when the pilot treats transportation as the mission instead of hovering over combat looking for kills. Moving a coordinated group directly to an objective, FOB or reinforcement route can change the match without firing a shot.

The main limitation is obvious: a bad pilot can turn a strong transport vehicle into a multi-player casualty event.

Ural — Best Pure Ground Logistics Vehicle

The standard Ural remains one of the cleanest vehicle purchases for players focused on logistics. You are paying for transportation and supply work rather than expensive weapons that may never be used.

Season 2 also gives logistics more value through consecutive delivery rewards. That makes a dedicated supply vehicle more attractive than turning every logistics run into an armed patrol.

Use it when the team actually needs FOB supplies and repeated deliveries. Do not choose it because you want to fight infantry from the driver's seat.

A Tier: Excellent but More Situational

Wolf-110 [M2 Browning]

The armed Wolf costs $7,800 and unlocks at Driver level 16 for $125,000. The ring-mounted M2 Browning turns the light platform into a fast fire-support vehicle without forcing the squad into full tank pricing.

Season 2 makes it particularly attractive because several older armed wheeled vehicles became much more expensive. It fills the gap between cheap transport and heavy armor very well.

Its weakness is also the reason it stays in A Tier: mobility and a heavy machine gun do not turn a light vehicle into a tank. Taking it into threats designed to kill armor wastes the price advantage.

L2A6 — Premium Tank, Premium Risk

The L2A6 remains the endgame Driver tank, but Season 2 raises its vendor price from $14,000 to $22,000.

That single change is enough to move it below the T-72B3 in our overall value ranking. The L2A6 still makes sense for experienced armor crews that can keep it alive and use the premium platform properly. For an average public squad, the new T-72B3 is much easier to justify economically.

Pure tank ceiling: excellent. Value per deployment: no longer automatic S Tier.

SPH-2 — S Tier Artillery, A Tier Overall

The SPH-2 gets one of the best progression changes of Season 2. It moves from WARDOG level 90 to Driver level 31, and its one-time unlock price drops from $500,000 to $350,000.

Artillery actions now also give Driver XP instead of Support XP, so players who actually use the SPH-2 are progressing the track that contains it.

The limitation is role dependence. A coordinated SPH-2 with spotting and good firing data can dominate an area from long range. An unsupported artillery crew firing at stale positions can consume time and resources while contributing very little.

For firing solutions, use our WARDOGS artillery and mortar calculator.

Flakpanzer Gepard — Best Anti-Air Vehicle

The Gepard costs $14,000 and unlocks at Driver level 25 for $300,000. Its job is not to compete with an MBT for ground combat. Its job is to make enemy pilots reconsider the airspace.

This makes it one of the most matchup-dependent vehicles in WARDOGS.

Against serious enemy air: S Tier.
Against a team barely using helicopters: closer to B Tier.

Do not buy it simply because it is a new tracked vehicle. Buy it because the opposing faction is getting too much value from air.

MH-6 — Best Low-Commitment Helicopter

The MH-6 is useful because it does not pretend to be something it is not. It provides fast air transport without the large financial commitment of an armed helicopter.

It is also the sensible platform for learning rotary-wing movement before risking $12,000–$28,000 attack aircraft.

See our WARDOGS helicopter controls guide if you are still learning takeoff, landing and transport flying.

Humvee [Minigun]

The Humvee [Minigun] now costs $10,000. That is more than twice its previous $4,500 price.

The firepower remains useful, but Season 2 forces a harder question: does the squad need an armed Humvee badly enough to spend almost as much as some specialist platforms?

It stays in A Tier because the combination of mobility and suppressive fire is still valuable, but careless deployment is now much more expensive.

B Tier: Good Vehicles With Important Trade-Offs

Z20 Lakota [Miniguns]

The armed Lakota is still a strong multi-role platform, but its price rises from $8,000 to $15,000. The unarmed Lakota remains much easier to justify when the real mission is moving people or supplies.

Pay the armed premium when the weapons will actually be used. Otherwise you are spending combat-vehicle money for a transport job.

AH-6M [Miniguns]

The AH-6M now costs $12,000 and moves from Pilot level 4 to Pilot level 8, with its unlock price increasing from $50,000 to $125,000.

A skilled pilot can still generate significant pressure with it, but its previous low-cost advantage is substantially smaller. The Gepard also gives ground teams a dedicated new way to punish air dominance.

AH-6R [Rockets]

The rocket Little Bird now costs $18,800. It can deliver much stronger anti-ground pressure than a transport helicopter, but every mistake carries a serious economic penalty.

This is a pilot-skill vehicle rather than a universal recommendation.

Ural Defender and Ural Defender [M249]

These variants make sense when logistics routes genuinely need protection. The problem is that every weapon attached to a logistics vehicle increases the amount of Cash being placed on a route whose primary purpose is still moving resources.

Season 2 prices increase to $7,200 for the Defender and $9,500 for the M249 version. If your logistics route is reasonably safe, the standard Ural normally provides better value.

Kodiak

The Kodiak remains a practical general-purpose ground transport. It is not exciting enough to dominate a tier list, but that is exactly why it remains useful: relatively cheap transportation does not require the team to build a strategy around protecting it.

The new Wolf-110 creates stronger competition in the low-cost mobility role, which keeps the Kodiak out of S or A Tier.

C Tier: Use Them for a Specific Reason

Havoc — Powerful but Economically Brutal

The Havoc is not C Tier because it lacks firepower. It is here because Update 0.2.0 raises its price from $18,000 to $28,000, while the Pilot unlock cost also rises from $500,000 to $650,000.

At that price, the vehicle needs an experienced crew and a match state where heavy attack-air support can actually survive long enough to justify the investment.

Season 2 also adds the Gepard and continues to give teams other anti-air options. Taking a $28,000 helicopter into prepared air denial is one of the fastest ways to turn mechanical power into bad economy.

Humvee [M249]

The Season 2 price jumps from $3,750 to $8,500. That makes the M249 Humvee difficult to recommend when other armed ground options offer more meaningful firepower or when an unarmed transport can perform the mobility job much more cheaply.

Kodiak [M249]

The same problem affects the armed Kodiak. Its price increases from $3,750 to $6,750. It can still be useful as light escort firepower, but the new Wolf-110 [M2 Browning] creates a more interesting dedicated armed-light-vehicle target later in Driver progression.

Bobcat and Dune Buggy

Cheap vehicles are useful when the alternative is walking, but extremely small transports provide limited squad value. They remain emergency mobility tools rather than vehicles worth building a progression plan around.

If a cheap vehicle gets two players back into the fight immediately, it has done its job. That does not make it one of the strongest vehicles in the game.

T-72B3 vs L2A6: Which Tank Is Better?

Season 2 price$16,000$22,000
ProgressionDriver 20Driver 35
Unlock cost$250,000$500,000
MobilitySlowerFaster option
Fuel economyBetterHigher consumption
Our pickBest valuePremium endgame choice

For most players, we recommend the T-72B3. It arrives much earlier in Driver progression, costs $6,000 less every time it is purchased and was specifically designed to provide a cheaper, more fuel-efficient MBT alternative.

The L2A6 remains relevant for experienced tank crews that have the progression, Cash and support to use a premium vehicle properly.

Is the Gepard Worth Buying?

Yes, but only when the battlefield gives it a job.

If enemy Little Birds, Lakotas or Havocs are repeatedly controlling movement and objectives, the Gepard can be one of the best purchases available. If enemy pilots are barely contributing, $14,000 invested into dedicated anti-air is difficult to justify.

The correct Gepard decision is therefore not “Is the vehicle strong?” but “Is enemy air currently worth $14,000 to shut down?”

Is the SPH-2 Worth It in Season 2?

More than before. Moving the SPH-2 from WARDOG level 90 to Driver level 31 makes it dramatically more accessible to the players actually interested in vehicle progression.

It remains a coordination-dependent weapon. The strongest artillery crews combine accurate range information, spotting, communication and target selection rather than simply firing continuously.

ExpCarry already sees strong search demand around SPH-2 range and artillery calculation, so we keep the detailed firing data on the dedicated artillery calculator page instead of duplicating it here.

Season 2 Vehicle Economy: Expensive Vehicles Are Real Targets

Season 2 makes destroying armed vehicles more financially rewarding. Many armed vehicle destruction rewards now sit around half of their current purchase price.

VehicleVendor PriceEnemy Cash Reward
Wolf-110 [M2 Browning]$7,800$3,900
Humvee [Minigun]$10,000$5,000
AH-6M [Miniguns]$12,000$6,000
Flakpanzer Gepard$14,000$7,000
Z20 Lakota [Miniguns]$15,000$7,500
T-72B3$16,000$8,000
AH-6R [Rockets]$18,800$9,400
L2A6$22,000$11,000
Havoc$28,000$14,000

This changes how a good crew should think about survival. Losing an expensive vehicle does not only remove your own investment; it can directly inject thousands of Cash into the player who destroys it.

What Vehicle Should You Buy First?

Do not rush toward the most expensive machine available. A practical Season 2 progression path is:

  1. Use cheap transport first. Learn routes and get back into the objective quickly.
  2. Use the Ural when you want consistent logistics value.
  3. Unlock the Wolf-110 at Driver 8 for cheap dedicated mobility.
  4. Move to the armed Wolf at Driver 16 if you want mobile ground fire support.
  5. T-72B3 at Driver 20 is the first major Season 2 armored target we would prioritize.
  6. Choose the Gepard at Driver 25 only if anti-air gameplay interests you.
  7. SPH-2 at Driver 31 is the major artillery milestone.
  8. L2A6 at Driver 35 remains the premium tank target rather than the automatic best-value purchase.

For the complete role XP curve and progression changes, see our WARDOGS progression guide.

Final WARDOGS Vehicle Ranking

T-72B3 is our best combat-value vehicle in Season 2. It gives Driver players a true main battle tank substantially earlier and cheaper than the L2A6. The Wolf-110 is our best budget ground vehicle, Z20 Lakota is the strongest general squad transport, Ural remains the practical logistics pick, Gepard dominates its anti-air niche and SPH-2 remains the dedicated artillery choice.

The biggest mistake is treating vehicle tiers as pure firepower. Season 2 makes expensive vehicles significantly harder to justify, which means a cheaper vehicle doing exactly the job your team needs can be stronger than a $28,000 gunship used without a plan.
