AION 2 Ludra Returns November 4: Hard Mode, Item Level 3000 and Exclusive Titles

AION 2 Ludra Returns November 4: Hard Mode, Item Level 3000 and Exclusive Titles

AION 2's first Sanctuary raid, Abyssal Forge: Ludra, returns to Global servers on November 4, 2026, with a reworked encounter, two difficulty modes and a regional race for exclusive titles. Normal mode requires 2,800 Item Level, while Hard mode raises the entry requirement to 3,000. Both difficulties will be available when the raid reopens, so prepared groups will not have to wait for a separate Hard Mode release. The biggest prize is recognition for the first twenty parties in each region to defeat Ludra on Hard, although players who clear Normal can also earn an event title. NC has confirmed the entry requirements and event rewards, but the revised boss mechanics and final difficulty-specific loot details still need to be checked when the November 4 build goes live.

Short answer: Ludra returns on November 4 after maintenance with Normal mode at 2,800 Item Level and Hard mode at 3,000. The first twenty Hard Mode clears in each of five Global regions earn ranked titles, while other players who defeat Ludra during the Ludra Hunt event receive Ludra's Nemesis; the event ends with the November 24–25 regional maintenance.

AION 2 Ludra November 4 Release Date and Entry Requirements

NC confirmed Ludra's return in its official Ludra Awakens announcement, originally published on October 23 and updated on October 30. The Sanctuary raid reopens with Normal and Hard difficulties at the same time. This is the Global version of the encounter, not a direct copy of the older Korean or Taiwanese release, and the announcement specifically promises new mechanics for returning players to discover.

Do not confuse the raid's reopening with the start of its login rewards. NC lists a specific 06:00 PST / 15:00 CET start for the Ludra Conquest Check-In and Twitch Drops, whereas raid access and the first-clear competition are tied to the end of regional maintenance. Players racing for the first Hard Mode clear should watch their region's maintenance notices rather than treating the login-event start time as a guaranteed raid opening time.

Why Ludra Was Removed and What Changed for Global

Ludra's absence from the Global launch was deliberate. During European Early Access, players defeated the Sanctuary boss at a lower level of character progression than NC had originally expected. Instead of launching the same encounter again, the developers temporarily withdrew Ludra and committed to reworking parts of the fight. The decision also gave the Global player base a new first-clear competition instead of allowing an Early Access result to determine the launch-era rankings.

NC's October 5 Sanctuary Raid update explains that the raid's core identity will remain familiar while certain mechanics and attack patterns change. That distinction matters for experienced groups. Knowing the original encounter can help with raid organization, positioning and communication, but an old phase-by-phase script should not be treated as a guaranteed strategy for the November 4 version.

There are three separate parts to this return: the playable raid, the revised competitive Hall of Fame, and compensation or recognition for eligible Early Access players. They should not be confused with one another. A player who cleared Ludra before Global launch has a different recognition path from a player attempting to finish among the first twenty Hard Mode parties after the raid reopens.

Ludra Normal vs Hard Mode: Which Difficulty Should You Choose?

For most Daevas, the immediate decision is whether to enter at 2,800 Item Level or push to the 3,000 requirement. Those two numbers are confirmed, but they tell only part of the story. A 3,000 Item Level character may still struggle if its build lacks survivability, the raid has weak healing coverage, or players have not agreed on their mechanic assignments. Likewise, a well-organized 2,800 group should not assume Normal will be effortless just because it has the lower threshold.

Choose Normal first if your character has reached 2,800 but your team is still learning the raid. It provides a route to a Ludra Hunt completion without requiring 3,000 Item Level or a place on the competitive leaderboard. This is also the more practical goal for a newly assembled group whose players have not fought together before.

Choose Hard immediately if you have a prepared ten-player roster, every character meets the 3,000 requirement, and your group is seriously pursuing a ranked title. The competition starts with the raid's reopening, so spending the first several days casually testing Normal will reduce your chances of finishing among the first twenty parties in a busy region. That does not mean rushing into Hard with an unfinished build is a good idea; an early failed attempt does not provide the competitive result the team actually needs.

The exact Normal-to-Hard differences in boss damage, phase timing, resurrection allowances and final reward probabilities have not all been published in NC's return announcement. Do not import those values automatically from the earlier Korean and Taiwanese versions or from the September Global test client. Those references may become useful once the reworked raid is live, but they are not a substitute for November 4 confirmation.

Ludra Hunt: All Exclusive First-Clear Titles

Ludra Hunt is the centerpiece of the return event. NC is recognizing the first twenty parties that defeat Hard Mode Ludra within each eligible region, with the highest-ranked groups receiving different titles. The ranking is regional, not one worldwide leaderboard, which means Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia each have their own set of qualifying parties. A Normal Mode clear cannot take one of the ranked Hard Mode positions.

6th–20thNext fifteen Hard Mode parties — 150 players per regionLudra's Vanquisher
Other clearsPlayers who defeat Normal or Hard Ludra during the event without a ranked rewardLudra's Nemesis

These are the names from NC's October 30 revision. Earlier articles may still list Conqueror of Ludra, Champion of Ludra, Challenger of Ludra or Ludra Hunter; those were superseded by the updated official announcement. For publishing an event guide now, use The First to Slay Ludra, Ludra's Conqueror, Ludra's Vanquisher and Ludra's Nemesis.

The top three ranked title categories also receive a purple decorative effect. NC says the titles will be distributed no later than December 2, 2026, at 23:59 PST, so players should not assume that a qualifying kill will immediately place the title in their inventory. The in-game Hall of Fame will be reset for the updated raid, giving the new competition its own recognition.

Ludra Hunt Dates and Eligible Regions

The first-clear event begins when the raid returns after the November 4 maintenance. In regions using NC's PST schedule, it runs until the maintenance on November 24. Under the published CET schedule, it runs until the maintenance on November 25. A clear must occur during the event period to qualify for the event titles; defeating Ludra later does not retroactively award one of these limited-time distinctions.

  • Europe: Separate regional ranking for the first twenty Hard Mode parties.
  • NA East: Separate regional ranking for the first twenty Hard Mode parties.
  • NA West: Separate regional ranking for the first twenty Hard Mode parties.
  • South America: Separate regional ranking for the first twenty Hard Mode parties.
  • Asia: Separate regional ranking for the first twenty Hard Mode parties.

Since the competition awards ranks to parties, coordination matters as much as individual equipment. Settle the complete roster before release, confirm that every member is eligible for Hard Mode, and prepare a shared communication channel. Do not rely on finding replacement players after several failed pulls if your goal is an early regional ranking.

Special Rewards for European Early Access Players

Europe has another Ludra recognition category that predates the November 4 first-clear race. NC promised a unique commemorative title to every Daeva who defeated Ludra in the Europe region during Early Access. This reward acknowledges the players who mastered the original version before the raid was temporarily removed. It is separate from the ranked Ludra Hunt titles and should not be confused with the universal Ludra's Nemesis title.

NC also addressed equipment obtained during Early Access. Ludra-specific gear was temporarily removed alongside the raid, but the company stated that those items would be returned to the characters who had earned them when Ludra reopens. Materials previously spent improving the removed equipment are also to be reimbursed. This is a restoration measure for eligible earlier players, not an extra loot package granted to everyone entering Normal or Hard Mode on November 4.

For returning European players, the practical priority is to verify the restored equipment, the upgrade-material reimbursement and the commemorative-title eligibility after the update. If something is missing, compare it with the original Early Access ownership and completion records before drawing conclusions about the new raid's reward system. Players outside that Early Access group should plan around the November Ludra Hunt rewards rather than expecting this separate compensation.

What Loot Will Ludra Normal and Hard Mode Offer?

Abyssal Forge is an endgame equipment progression raid, not simply a cosmetic-title event. Its earlier versions and Global test data include Ludra-specific equipment and other character-progression rewards. However, the October 23 announcement does not provide a complete final loot table for each new difficulty, nor does it establish a confirmed Hard Mode drop-rate multiplier. Treat specific item-level claims, guaranteed-reward counts and per-clear cube costs taken from older regional sources as provisional until the Global reward interface is available.

One important distinction is between raid loot and Ludra Hunt event rewards. A character can receive a qualifying event title through a clear without that title being part of a random boss drop. The ranked titles are based on regional first-clear placement, while normal equipment rewards depend on the raid's own reward and claim systems. The two should not be combined into a single speculative loot table.

The existing Abyssal Forge: Ludra Boss Guide covers the encounter's historical route, Rahu, Ketu and Eternal Ludra mechanics, and earlier reward references. It remains useful background for players learning the raid's structure, but its regional strategies and September test-derived loot details must be checked against the updated Global fight after November 4. This return announcement focuses on the new release conditions, competitive event and confirmed rewards rather than repeating the older boss walkthrough.

How to Prepare for Ludra Hard Mode at 3,000 Item Level

Reaching 3,000 Item Level is the entry gate for Hard Mode, not proof that a raid team is ready to win. Gear that raises the entry number but leaves a damage dealer with weak damage properties, a healer short on MP or a frontline player without reliable defenses can still become a liability during a new encounter. Before the November 4 maintenance, decide whether your goal is a Normal clear, an eventual Hard clear or a competitive first kill. The answer determines how aggressively you should spend materials and organize your group.

Prioritize Upgrades That Improve the Actual Raid Build

Start with the Item Level shown by the Global client and identify which equipment slots or progression systems are keeping you below the required threshold. Then compare the cost of reaching 2,800 with the additional upgrades needed for 3,000. The AION 2 Gear Progression Guide explains why Item Level and Combat Power are different values; increasing one does not guarantee an equal improvement in the other.

  1. Check the entry gate: Make sure your actual Item Level meets 2,800 for Normal or 3,000 for Hard before organizing a fixed raid schedule.
  2. Improve weapons and main combat properties: A higher number alone is not worth sacrificing important offensive or defensive effectiveness.
  3. Finish useful Arcana upgrades: Cards can contribute Item Level, skill bonuses and other progression benefits, making them worth comparing with gear enhancement.
  4. Review Stigma and Daevanion progression: These systems improve combat performance even when they do not solve the same entry-level problem.
  5. Build around your raid role: Tanks need reliable survival, healers need recovery and MP management, and damage dealers need sustained output during movement-heavy encounters.
  6. Keep resources for final corrections: Avoid spending every material on a minor upgrade before you know which build problems appear in the live raid.

For players already close to the threshold, targeted Item Level progression is more relevant than repeating content that no longer provides useful upgrades. Players further behind should choose a sustainable sequence of Conquest and Transcendence runs instead of investing heavily in a single expensive item while several weaker slots remain unchanged.

Prepare the Full Ten-Player Raid

Ludra's original Global raid structure uses ten players, with responsibilities divided between smaller groups during parts of the instance. That organizational knowledge is useful, but the final November 4 encounter has changed, so old assignments should be treated as a starting point. A prepared roster should contain enough defensive coverage, healing and reliable damage to react to unexpected mechanics rather than relying on a precise rotation copied from an older regional video.

  • Confirm all ten players: Check their region, server eligibility, Item Level and actual availability after maintenance.
  • Set raid leadership: Decide who calls boss transitions, emergency defensive abilities and regrouping positions.
  • Plan communication: Make sure players can identify targets, share mechanic information and report deaths quickly.
  • Prepare fallback assignments: A player who normally handles a mechanic may need to change roles if the reworked version behaves differently.
  • Separate learning attempts from competitive pulls: Treat the first encounter as a chance to identify changed mechanics rather than assuming every historical phase will remain identical.

Players preparing through Conquest dungeon progression or Transcendence dungeon runs should focus on upgrades that strengthen their intended raid role. These activities are also part of NC's Ludra preparation event, so they can contribute to community milestones while helping individual characters become raid-ready.

Odyle Energy Boost: Four Free Energy per Account Each Day

NC introduced an Odyle Energy event ahead of the raid's return to help players prepare. Its updated rule is particularly important: from the October 28 maintenance through the November 10–11 regional maintenance, eligible players can collect Odyle Energy x4 once per account per day from in-game mail. This supersedes earlier reports describing two Energy per character. The difference matters if you are planning a preparation route across several characters or deciding how many extra dungeon rewards you can claim.

Each delivery arrives through the in-game mail system and expires seven days after receipt. Logging in is therefore not the same as safely storing every reward indefinitely; open the mail and manage the Energy before it expires. These extra resources can support more Expedition and Transcendence reward claims, which may be especially useful for players still trying to reach the 2,800 or 3,000 Item Level thresholds.

Use the extra Energy on the activity most likely to fix your current gearing bottleneck. A character missing meaningful Arcana progression may benefit more from Transcendence than another ordinary equipment roll, while a character with multiple weak equipment slots may prefer targeted Conquest rewards. The event gives you more opportunities, but it does not make every run equally valuable.

Ludra Conquest Check-In: All Seven Login Rewards

The Ludra Conquest Check-In runs for fourteen days, with seven sequential rewards to collect. It starts November 4 at 06:00 PST / 15:00 CET and ends November 17 at 23:59 PST, corresponding to November 18 at 08:59 CET. You must log in and check in for each reward, but the schedule allows you to miss up to seven days and still complete the track. That makes it accessible to players who are preparing for Normal Mode at a slower pace.

Day 1Bound Kina500,000
Day 2Centuryroot Token (Shugo Coin)2,000
Day 3Phantasmal Fragment (Nightmare Coin)3,000
Day 4Abyss Points30,000
Day 5Soul Crystal3,000
Day 6Bound Kina1,000,000
Day 7Lush Leaf Tiara (Helmet)1

The practical value goes beyond the final cosmetic. Bound Kina supports everyday progression costs, Centuryroot Tokens and Phantasmal Fragments contribute to their respective reward systems, and Soul Crystals help with another part of character advancement. If you are still below Ludra's entry requirement, collect these rewards while continuing your normal gearing route rather than waiting until your character is raid-ready. The Tiara is the final check-in reward, not a drop that requires defeating Ludra.

Ludra Twitch Drops: Watch-Time Rewards

The Ludra celebration also includes Twitch Drops running from November 4 through November 17 in the PST schedule, ending November 18 in the CET schedule. Rewards unlock at different watch-time milestones, with the final announced reward available at fourteen hours. NC revised the presentation on October 30 by combining some items into boxes; the company says this did not change which underlying items could be redeemed. Older lists that display every component separately may therefore look different from the current reward interface.

  • 1 hour: Battle Support Chest (Bound) x1, containing Resurrection Spiritstones, Battle Enhance Scrolls and Artisan's Roasted Fogus.
  • 2 hours: Skin Chest (10 Times) (Bound) x3.
  • 3 hours: Mysterious Pet Chest (Bound) x3.
  • 4 hours: Customization Chest (Bound) x1.
  • 6 hours: Soul Codex Chest (Bound) x1.
  • 8 hours: Odyle Energy (Bound) x6.
  • 10 hours: Content Usage Ticket Selection Chest (Bound) x1.
  • 12 hours: Dotted Glasses x1.
  • 13 hours: Rare Theostone Chest (Bound) x2.
  • 14 hours: Black Conical Hat (Skin: Helm) x1.

Before watching, connect the correct Twitch and NC accounts and confirm that you are using an eligible Global account. NC's official Twitch Drops page explains account linking, tracking progress and claiming rewards. Do not assume that watching a stream alone delivers everything automatically: review the Twitch Drops inventory and make sure each unlocked item is claimed through the required process.

Daeva Bootcamp: Global Dungeon Clear Milestones

Daeva Bootcamp is a separate community event running alongside Ludra's return. Instead of requiring everyone to clear the Sanctuary raid, it counts completions of specified Conquest and Transcendence dungeons across five Global regions. When the combined player base reaches a milestone, NC sends the corresponding rewards to Global players through in-game mail. This gives players who cannot yet enter Ludra a way to participate in the wider celebration and receive useful preparation materials.

The eligible Conquest dungeons are Krao Cave, Draupnir, Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island in Normal or Hard Mode. The eligible Transcendence dungeons are Shattered Arkanis and Deus Research Base at all stages. The event runs from November 4 to November 17 in the PST schedule, with the corresponding CET window extending into November 18. Clearing Ludra itself is not listed as a qualifying Bootcamp dungeon in NC's event conditions.

5,000,000Instant Clear Ticket x3, Intermediate Training Arcana x2, Resurrection Stone x10

NC lists Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia as participating regions. Milestone rewards are distributed through in-game mail as the targets are reached, with the final distribution deadline stated as November 18 at 23:59 PST. The table describes community-wide thresholds, not a requirement for each account to complete hundreds of thousands of dungeons. Your practical contribution is simply to keep clearing eligible content while progressing your own character.

Ludra Outfit Contest: Regional Quna and Cosmetic Rewards

The Ludra Outfit Contest is another part of the celebration, but it has different regional eligibility from the first-clear competition. It is open to Europe, NA East, NA West and South America; Asia is not included in the official eligible-region list for this particular contest. Players submit one unedited in-game screenshot of an outfit inspired by Ludra through the specified Discord submission process. The entry must include the player's region, server and character name.

  • First place: 6,000 Quna.
  • Second place: 3,000 Quna.
  • Third place: 1,000 Quna.
  • Community's Choice: 3,000 Quna.
  • Participation: Dye Token x2.

The contest runs from November 4 to November 17 in the PST schedule, extending into November 18 for CET. NC explicitly prohibits edited or AI-generated submissions, so the safest approach is a direct screenshot from the game without post-processing. The organizers select the first three places, while the Community's Choice award is based on Discord upvotes. Contest prizes are separate from Ludra's raid loot and ranked first-clear titles.

Best Preparation Plan Before November 4

With both difficulties opening together, the days before maintenance matter more for Hard Mode contenders than for players planning a relaxed Normal clear. The strongest preparation plan prioritizes guaranteed progress first: entry Item Level, a stable raid roster, class-role readiness and collection of free event resources. Chasing a perfect theoretical setup is less useful than removing the obvious problems that could stop the group from entering or surviving the opening encounter.

  1. Choose a realistic target. If you are below 2,800 Item Level, build toward Normal first. If you are already close to 3,000 with a coordinated group, decide whether the regional first-clear race is genuinely achievable.
  2. Collect the Odyle Energy mail. Claim the updated four Energy per account each eligible day and use them before their seven-day mail expiration.
  3. Spend resources on important upgrades. Improve the gear, Arcana and combat systems that address your current weaknesses instead of increasing Item Level through poor-value changes.
  4. Confirm your ten-player roster. Establish who will lead the raid, who handles emergency calls, and which players can fill essential roles if the reworked mechanics demand a different approach.
  5. Review older Ludra mechanics as background. Learn the historical raid layout and encounter concepts, but expect the Global boss to introduce modified attacks or phase requirements.
  6. Track regional maintenance. Competitive groups should be ready for the raid to reopen rather than relying on the fixed login-reward start time.
  7. Choose the right first clear. A Normal clear is sufficient for the universal event title. Hard Mode is mandatory only if you want to compete for one of the ranked titles.

Players planning a scheduled Ludra raid completion should also verify the difficulty and region involved, since the entry requirements and title eligibility are not interchangeable. A Normal kill does not become a ranked Hard clear merely because the player has 3,000 Item Level. For the first-clear event, what matters is the qualifying victory by the party during its region's event window.

Common Mistakes to Avoid During Ludra's Return

Ludra's reopening combines several events with different deadlines and reward rules. It is easy to focus on the boss and miss a free resource, or to confuse an old title name with the one NC will actually award. Check the following before the raid opens and again after your first successful clear.

  • Using the wrong Item Level: Normal requires 2,800; Hard requires 3,000. These are entry requirements, not suggested combat ratings.
  • Assuming Hard opens later: Both difficulties are scheduled for November 4.
  • Using outdated title names: NC renamed the Ludra Hunt titles on October 30.
  • Confusing regional and global rankings: The first twenty Hard Mode parties are ranked separately in five regions.
  • Expecting a ranked title from Normal: Normal clears qualify for the universal reward, not the first twenty Hard Mode places.
  • Missing the event period: Title eligibility depends on a clear during Ludra Hunt, not simply defeating the raid at any later date.
  • Counting Odyle Energy per character: The current bonus is four Energy once per account per day, not the older two-per-character arrangement.
  • Trusting old boss timings: The November 4 fight is a revised Global version, so previously documented phases may change.
  • Confusing loot with event rewards: Exclusive titles are awarded through event completion and regional placement, not through a random boss drop.

The biggest preventable mistake is turning an announcement into a finished boss guide before the encounter is playable. NC has confirmed enough information to plan entry, a roster and event participation, but it has not published every new mechanic or final loot rule. Those details should be tested in the live Global build before they become permanent raid recommendations.

AION 2 Ludra Return FAQ

These questions address the release and reward conditions most likely to affect players deciding between Normal Mode, Hard Mode and the first-clear competition.

Does Ludra Hard Mode require 3,000 Item Level for every player? The announced Hard Mode entry requirement is 3,000 Item Level. A party should verify that all intended members meet the entry condition before scheduling a competitive attempt.

Can players earn a Ludra title without defeating Hard Mode? Yes. Other players who defeat Ludra on Normal or Hard during the Ludra Hunt event are eligible for Ludra's Nemesis. The three ranked titles are reserved for qualifying Hard Mode parties.

Do Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia share one first-clear leaderboard? No. NC specifies the first twenty Hard Mode parties in each region. The title race is therefore regional rather than one worldwide competition.

Will European Early Access Ludra clears count as November first clears? No. Early Access participants have a separate promised recognition title, while the new event uses a reset Hall of Fame and qualifying clears during the November Ludra Hunt window.

Final Thoughts: Normal Clear or Hard Mode Title Race?

November 4 gives AION 2 players two very different Ludra goals. Normal Mode at 2,800 Item Level offers a practical route into the returning Sanctuary raid and its universal event title, while Hard Mode at 3,000 is the path to regional first-clear recognition. The best choice depends on the strength and preparation of your ten-player group, not just its entry numbers. Collect the preparation rewards, organize the raid before maintenance, and treat the reworked mechanics as a fresh encounter until the live Global version confirms exactly how Ludra fights.
