Diablo 4 is bringing nine Legacy Uniques from earlier games into its permanent item pool: Leoric's Crown, Nemesis Bracers, Stone of Jordan, Squirt's Blouse, Arioc's Needle, Henri's Perquisition, In-Geom, The Furnace, and Messerschmidt's Reaver. Eight were available during the August patch 3.2.0 PTR. Messerschmidt's Reaver was held back for Season 15, and Blizzard has not revealed its Diablo 4 power.
The familiar names do not mean that every old mechanic returns unchanged. Some items preserve their Diablo 3 identity almost exactly, while others move to a different slot or receive a completely new function. Stone of Jordan is no longer the Diablo 2 caster ring built around skills and Mana, Henri's Perquisition has become a Dexterity conversion item, and Squirt's Necklace is now Squirt's Blouse in the Chest slot.
This guide lists every confirmed Legacy Unique, eligible classes, slots, PTR powers, old-game references, likely build roles, Charm availability, and unresolved release details. All numerical powers below come from the August PTR and can change before patch 3.2.0 reaches the live game.
Diablo 4 Legacy Uniques List and Season 15 Status
Blizzard's current patch 3.2.0 PTR overview calls the Legacy Uniques permanent additions available across all versions of Diablo 4. That separates them from temporary seasonal powers: the items are intended to remain obtainable after Season 15 and to exist on both Seasonal and Eternal realms. Their final acquisition sources and drop tables have not been announced.
The official article contains a counting error. It says nine items are coming, then refers to five all-class items and five multi-class items. The actual named list contains four all-class items and five restricted items, which correctly totals nine. Ring of Royal Grandeur appeared in an earlier version of the announcement but was removed and is not part of the current confirmed roster.
| Legacy Unique | Diablo 4 slot | Eligible classes | Current status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leoric's Crown | Helm | All classes | Tested on PTR |
| Nemesis Bracers | Gloves | All classes | Tested on PTR |
| Stone of Jordan | Ring | All classes | Tested on PTR |
| Squirt's Blouse | Chest | All classes | Tested on PTR |
| Arioc's Needle | Two-Handed Polearm | Barbarian, Druid, Spiritborn | Tested on PTR |
| Henri's Perquisition | Offhand Focus | Sorcerer, Necromancer, Warlock | Tested on PTR |
| In-Geom | One-Handed Sword | Barbarian, Druid, Rogue, Necromancer, Paladin, Warlock | Tested on PTR |
| The Furnace | Two-Handed Mace | Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Warlock | Tested on PTR |
| Messerschmidt's Reaver | Two-Handed Axe | Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Paladin, Warlock | Coming with Season 15; not testable on PTR |
Weapon type still limits access even though Blizzard labels these as multi-class items. Rogue receives In-Geom but not the two-handed weapons, while Spiritborn receives Arioc's Needle but none of the other restricted items. Sorcerer cannot equip In-Geom despite its Diablo 3 history as a popular Wizard weapon. Players preparing a fresh eligible character can use a Diablo 4 leveling route after Season 15 begins, but the item hunt itself should wait for confirmed live drop sources.
Legacy Unique Powers Shown on the PTR

Eight unique powers were visible in the test client. These are the defining effects rather than a complete list of every normal affix on each item. PTR gear can contain unfinished tooltips, incorrect secondary affixes, or balance values that Blizzard changes before release, so the table is a preview for build planning rather than a final shopping list.
| Item | Patch 3.2.0 PTR Unique power | Main role |
|---|---|---|
| Leoric's Crown | Counts as Jewelry and increases the effect of any gem socketed into the Helm by 75-100% | Socket amplification |
| Nemesis Bracers | Shrines spawn an Elite Pack | Extra density and Elite triggers |
| Stone of Jordan | Each Resistance equals the highest Resistance, and damage of that Element is increased by 15-25% | Resistance compression and elemental damage |
| Squirt's Blouse | While not taking damage, incoming damage rises by up to 50% and damage dealt rises by 30-50%; the bonus resets after losing Life | High-risk ranged damage |
| Arioc's Needle | Gain 35-50% Deadly Strike Chance; Deadly Strikes deal 70-100% increased damage | Deadly Strike scaling |
| Henri's Perquisition | Gain Primary Stat equal to 85-115% of Dexterity | Dexterity conversion |
| In-Geom | Defeating an Elite Pack reduces Skill Cooldowns by 8-10 seconds for 15 seconds | Speed farming and cooldown uptime |
| The Furnace | Deal 150-200% increased damage to Elites | Elite and boss-focused damage |
| Messerschmidt's Reaver | Not revealed | Unknown until the Season 15 reveal or live tooltip |
The numbers should not be used for a final tier list yet. Blizzard ran the PTR from August 4 through August 11 specifically to collect feedback and fix problems. As of August 30, 2026, Blizzard's live patch notes still list patch 3.1.3 as the latest live build, while 3.2.0 remains a PTR preview. Blizzard has not yet published the live 3.2.0 patch notes, final item powers, or normal Legacy Unique farming routes. Our broader Diablo 4 Season 15 guide tracks that release status separately.

All-Class Legacy Uniques: Crown, Bracers, Ring and Chest
The four universal items create the widest build options because they do not require a particular weapon type or expansion class. Their real cost is the equipment slot. Leoric's Crown competes with build-defining Helms, Stone of Jordan uses one of two Ring slots, and Squirt's Blouse replaces a defensive Chest piece while making incoming hits more dangerous.
Leoric's Crown and Nemesis Bracers
Leoric's Crown is the closest direct return. In Diablo 3, it increased the effect of a non-Legendary gem socketed into the Helm by 75-100%. The Diablo 4 PTR kept the same range, removed the old non-Legendary wording, and added the important rule that the Helm counts as Jewelry. That new tag adapts the Crown to Diablo 4's socket system rather than copying a Diablo 3 item card line for line.
The Jewelry treatment makes the Crown a natural item to test with socket-based systems. Season 15 Soul Splinters are explicitly socketable into Jewelry, but their final values and live interaction with the Crown still need confirmation after the PTR. The dedicated Soul Splinters guide covers the PTR benefits and penalties without treating those test values as permanent.
Nemesis Bracers preserve their farming identity but move from Diablo 3's Wrist slot to Diablo 4 Gloves. In Diablo 3, both Shrines and Pylons spawned an enemy champion. The PTR wording only names Shrines and creates an Elite Pack. The item can generate more Elite targets for loot, experience, and on-Elite effects, but it also replaces offensive Gloves and adds danger whenever a Shrine is used.
Stone of Jordan and Squirt's Blouse
Stone of Jordan receives the largest thematic rewrite among the all-class items. The Diablo 2 ring was famous for +1 to all Skills, flat Mana, increased Maximum Mana, and a small Lightning damage roll. It also became a trading currency and later a component of the Diablo Clone system. None of those economy or summoning mechanics are part of the PTR power.
The Diablo 4 version instead sets every Resistance equal to the character's highest Resistance and increases damage of the Element associated with that highest Resistance by 15-25%. This resembles the elemental equalization used by the Diablo 3 version, but converts the idea from elemental skill bonuses into Diablo 4 Resistances. The practical attraction is affix compression: one exceptionally strong Resistance may cover several defenses while supporting a matching damage type. The live tooltip still needs to clarify tied highest Resistances, caps, and how the damage bonus behaves when the highest element changes.
Squirt's Blouse deliberately changes both the name and the slot. The Diablo 3 Squirt's Necklace granted up to 100% increased damage while the wearer avoided damage, at the cost of up to 50% increased damage taken. Diablo 4 moves the concept from Neck to Chest, lowers the regular PTR damage range to 30-50%, keeps the incoming-damage penalty, and resets the bonus after Life is lost.
Barrier-heavy and ranged builds are the obvious first testers, but taking no damage and losing no Life are not necessarily identical conditions. Do not assume Barrier hits preserve the full bonus until the live behavior is tested. Squirt's also sacrifices a traditionally defensive slot, so its sheet damage must compensate for the defense, utility, and Unique power removed from the old Chest.
Class-Restricted Legacy Uniques and Weapon Effects
The five restricted items are more specialized. Two introduce stat or damage mechanics, two carry well-known Diablo 3 farming powers into Diablo 4, and one remains deliberately hidden. Their value depends on whether the class can equip the base type without breaking the rest of its build.
Arioc's Needle and Henri's Perquisition
Arioc's Needle returns from Diablo 2 as a Two-Handed Polearm for Barbarian, Druid, and Spiritborn. Its original version had 50% Deadly Strike, increased attack speed, poison damage, skills, and Ignore Target's Defense. The Diablo 4 PTR concentrates that identity into 35-50% Deadly Strike Chance and a separate 70-100% damage increase for Deadly Strikes.
Blizzard has not published a complete mechanical explanation for Deadly Strike in Diablo 4. The tooltip alone does not settle how it stacks with Critical Strikes, Overpower, damage over time, or other multipliers. Arioc's is therefore an experimental build engine rather than an automatic best weapon. The official known-issues list also says its Poison Damage Over Time affix dealt more damage than intended on PTR, so footage built around that abnormal poison value should be discarded.
Henri's Perquisition changes more radically. In Diablo 3 it was a Witch Doctor Mojo that reduced the first hit from an enemy by 60-80% and Charmed that enemy for three seconds. Diablo 4 makes it an Offhand Focus for Sorcerer, Necromancer, and Warlock, with a PTR power that converts 85-115% of Dexterity into Primary Stat. The defensive cat-themed effect is gone.
The new version is a stat-stacking puzzle. It only becomes valuable when Dexterity available through gear, All Stats, Paragon, and other systems produces more Primary Stat than a competing Focus power would provide. A high percentage does not prove that the item wins, because the opportunity cost includes the offhand's normal affixes, another Unique power, and any changes required to acquire extra Dexterity.
In-Geom, The Furnace and Messerschmidt's Reaver
In-Geom is the most faithful Diablo 3 weapon conversion. The older sword reduced Skill Cooldowns by 8-10 seconds for 15 seconds after an Elite Pack was killed. The Diablo 4 PTR uses the same values and trigger concept. It rewards fast builds that can move from one complete Elite Pack to the next before the 15-second window expires.
Do not read the effect as permanent Cooldown Reduction. It requires defeating the pack, and uptime collapses in sparse content, long boss phases, or routes with slow transitions. Nemesis Bracers can create extra Elite Packs at Shrines and therefore appears to complement In-Geom, but the loss of both Gloves and weapon slots must be compared with the benefit of more frequent cooldown windows.
The Furnace also keeps its old job while raising the scale. Diablo 3's redesigned version increased damage against Elites by 40-50%. Diablo 4 displayed a 150-200% multiplier on PTR. That makes it an obvious candidate for high-pressure Elite and boss content, but it occupies a Two-Handed Mace slot and is unavailable to Rogue, Sorcerer, and Spiritborn. A smaller multiplier on a build-compatible weapon can still win if The Furnace removes a stronger class interaction.
Messerschmidt's Reaver is the only confirmed Legacy Unique that players could not test. The axe appeared in all three earlier Diablo games. Diablo 1 emphasized raw damage, Fire damage, and attributes; Diablo 2 added level-scaling maximum damage and Attack Rating; Diablo 3 eventually reduced a random Skill's remaining Cooldown by one second on each kill. Blizzard has not said which identity the Diablo 4 Two-Handed Axe will use. Any current effect, stat range, or build recommendation is speculation.
Once the items enter the release pool and their drop rules are known, a Diablo 4 Unique Items farm can focus on an available named or custom target. The live product pool must define that request: no route can guarantee an unreleased Reaver or preserve a PTR-only affix.
Best Legacy Uniques by Activity and Build Goal

A final ranking would be misleading before the live patch, but the PTR powers already show which activity each item is designed to support. Evaluate the role first, then compare the occupied slot with the Unique or Legendary power your current build must remove.
- Speed farming: In-Geom has the clearest route to faster clears when Elite Packs are dense enough to maintain its 15-second window. Nemesis Bracers adds Elite Packs at Shrines and can support the same loop.
- Elite and boss damage: The Furnace offers the largest direct PTR multiplier, but only for eligible classes willing to commit a two-handed weapon slot.
- Resistance compression: Stone of Jordan can reduce the number of separate Resistance investments a build needs while rewarding the highest element.
- Socket scaling: Leoric's Crown is the first item to test when a powerful Helm gem or jewelry-compatible socketable determines the build.
- Ranged burst: Squirt's Blouse rewards avoiding Life loss, but its incoming-damage penalty and Chest-slot cost make it unsuitable for careless melee play.
- Dexterity stacking: Henri's Perquisition belongs in builds that can prove the converted Primary Stat beats a normal Focus, not in every caster setup.
- Deadly Strike experiments: Arioc's Needle creates a new scaling route, but live testing must establish how Deadly Strike combines with existing damage mechanics.
- Unknown: Messerschmidt's Reaver cannot be ranked until Blizzard reveals its Season 15 power.
PTR rolls should not trigger expensive live gearing decisions. First compare the final Unique power with the Legendary, Unique, or set interaction that must leave the build. A familiar name and a large test multiplier do not erase that opportunity cost.
How to Get Legacy Uniques in Diablo 4
Blizzard has not announced normal drop sources, boss loot tables, crafting costs, or target-farm rules for the Legacy Uniques. During the PC-only PTR, the test vendor Mrak could grant all Unique items so players could inspect and test them. That shortcut ended with the PTR on August 11 and does not represent the Season 15 acquisition route.
Permanent does not mean immediately available in the current live patch. It means Blizzard intends the items to remain in the game across Seasonal and Eternal versions once patch 3.2.0 adds them. It also does not guarantee that each item is a general world drop, that every Lair Boss can drop it, or that existing boss loot tables remain unchanged.
- Do not pre-farm a named boss: No official Legacy Unique target-farm table exists yet.
- Do not save a PTR vendor route: Mrak is a testing shortcut, not a live merchant.
- Do not assume expansion access: Blizzard says all versions of Diablo 4, but it has not clarified every class and expansion ownership condition.
- Do not salvage the first good base: Mythic conversion may preserve affixes and upgrades, making a strong regular roll valuable later.
- Check the live tooltip: Compare the release power and affixes against the PTR table before changing a build.
The efficient release route is to unlock the difficulty your build can farm consistently, collect the first Legacy drops without overcommitting materials, and wait for verified boss tables before spending summon resources. Players blocked before the relevant endgame tier can use Diablo 4 difficulty unlock assistance, but higher difficulty alone does not guarantee a specific Legacy Unique.
Legacy Unique Charms and Mythic Upgrades
The Talisman system can separate a Unique power from its original equipment slot by turning eligible Uniques into Unique Charms, while the Mythic system upgrades the item itself rather than moving its power to another slot. That can make an awkward weapon or armor power more flexible, but the named official lists matter more than Blizzard's inconsistent summary counts.
The PTR patch notes name seven Legacy Uniques that can be made into Unique Charms: Arioc's Needle, Henri's Perquisition, In-Geom, Nemesis Bracers, Squirt's Blouse, Stone of Jordan, and The Furnace. Leoric's Crown and Messerschmidt's Reaver are absent from that named list. Another paragraph refers to eight of ten Legacy Uniques receiving Charms, but the current roster contains nine items, so it should not override the seven explicit names.
Unique Charms can also drop at Mythic quality. Blizzard says a Mythic Unique Charm rolls normal properties at maximum and strengthens the Unique property, but it cannot be crafted or specifically target-farmed. The PTR vendor made testing easier; it did not establish a live farming shortcut or a published drop chance.
For equipment, the planned Horadric Cube direct upgrade converts an eligible Unique into a Mythic version while retaining its affixes, Tempering, and Masterworking. The recipe cannot be used on an Unmodifiable item, so a candidate that has been Transfigured should not be treated as safely upgradeable. The resulting Mythic receives a Crafted tag, and only one Crafted-tag item can be equipped. Exact Season 15 costs remain unknown. The Mythic Uniques 3.0 guide explains the wider crafting system and why a well-rolled base item matters before conversion.
PTR Bugs That Affect Legacy Unique Testing
Several test problems directly distorted item comparisons. Blizzard's official PTR 3.2 known-issues post says these issues were intended to be addressed for the official release. They are evidence that the observed PTR build was unfinished, not reasons to reproduce broken numbers in a live guide.
- Nemesis Bracers Charm: Its affix did not function as the tooltip described.
- Henri's Perquisition Charm: It displayed an unintended additional +2 Thorns affix.
- Arioc's Needle: Its Poison Damage Over Time affix dealt more damage than intended.
- The Furnace: The Mythic weapon could not roll the maximum value of its Unique power.
- Leoric's Crown: It could not be enchanted at the Occultist.
Do not use a bugged Mythic Furnace roll to establish its final ceiling, an overtuned poison clip to rank Arioc's Needle, or the failed Occultist interaction to claim Leoric's Crown will remain locked. The release notes and live item cards must replace these PTR observations.
Diablo 4 Legacy Uniques FAQ
These answers address the main search questions created by the revised Blizzard list, the concluded PTR, and the missing Season 15 details.
How many Legacy Uniques are coming to Diablo 4?
The current official list contains nine: four usable by every class and five restricted by class and weapon type. Blizzard's surrounding text still contains an internal counting mismatch.
Is Ring of Royal Grandeur a confirmed Legacy Unique?
No. It appeared in an early version of the announcement but was removed. It should not be counted unless Blizzard adds it back in a new official update.
Can I get Stone of Jordan in Diablo 4 now?
Not in the current live version. It was testable during the August patch 3.2.0 PTR and is planned as a permanent addition, but Season 15 has not launched.
What does Stone of Jordan do in Diablo 4?
On PTR, every Resistance became equal to the highest Resistance and the character dealt 15-25% more damage of that Element. This is a test value, not a locked release number.
What is the best Legacy Unique for speed farming?
In-Geom has the clearest speed-farm effect because Elite Pack kills reduce Skill Cooldowns for 15 seconds. Its value depends on pack density and whether the build can sacrifice its weapon slot.
Was Messerschmidt's Reaver on the 3.2.0 PTR?
No. Blizzard explicitly held it for Season 15 rather than making it testable on the PTR. Its Diablo 4 power and full affixes are still unknown.
Are Legacy Uniques seasonal items?
No. Blizzard describes them as permanent additions available across all versions of Diablo 4 once they release.
Can every Legacy Unique become a Charm?
Not according to the named PTR list. Seven are listed for Unique Charm crafting; Leoric's Crown and Messerschmidt's Reaver are not included.
Where do Legacy Uniques drop?
Blizzard has not published the live drop sources or target-farm table. Mrak distributed Uniques only as a PTR testing shortcut.
Conclusion
Diablo 4's Legacy Unique roster currently contains nine permanent items, not ten. Leoric's Crown, Nemesis Bracers, Stone of Jordan, Squirt's Blouse, Arioc's Needle, Henri's Perquisition, In-Geom, and The Furnace were testable in patch 3.2.0. Messerschmidt's Reaver is confirmed for Season 15 but remains mechanically unrevealed, while Ring of Royal Grandeur is no longer on the official list.
The safest preparation is to choose an eligible class, preserve strong base gear, and treat the PTR powers as build directions rather than final numbers. In-Geom points toward Elite-chain speed farming, The Furnace toward Elite damage, Stone of Jordan toward Resistance compression, and Leoric's Crown toward socket scaling. Wait for the Season 15 patch notes before farming a named boss, converting an item to Mythic, or locking a final build around any Legacy Unique.
