GTA 6 Characters: Jason, Lucia & Every Confirmed Character

Rockstar currently has eight official GTA 6 character profiles: Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. But that does not mean GTA VI has only eight named characters: Real Dimez is a duo made up of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, while people such as Lori and DWNPLY are also named in Rockstar's official material without receiving full profiles of their own.

How Many GTA 6 Characters Are Officially Confirmed?

The most accurate answer is: Rockstar currently publishes eight dedicated character profiles, but those profiles represent more than eight named people.

The distinction exists because Real Dimez is a two-person act consisting of Bae-Luxe and Roxy. That means the eight main profiles already cover at least nine individual people.

Rockstar's own biographies also name additional people who do not currently have dedicated profiles:

• Lori – Brian Heder's third wife, who works with him around his boat yard.
• DWNPLY – a local rapper whose early collaboration helped Real Dimez gain attention.

So “8 confirmed GTA 6 characters” is useful shorthand, but “8 official character profiles” is technically more accurate.

Jason Duval

Jason Duval is one of GTA VI's two central protagonists. Rockstar describes him as someone who wants an easy life but continually finds himself in more difficult situations.

Jason grew up around criminals and grifters. After troubled teenage years, he spent time in the Army trying to change direction. He later ended up in the Leonida Keys working for local drug runners.

His life before the central GTA VI conspiracy is already connected to crime. Brian Heder allows Jason to live rent-free in one of his properties in exchange for helping with local shakedowns, while Cal Hampton is both Jason's friend and another associate of Brian.

The biggest variable in Jason's future is Lucia. Rockstar explicitly frames meeting her as something that could become either the best or worst thing to happen to him.

Lucia Caminos

Lucia Caminos is GTA VI's other central protagonist. Her father taught her to fight from an early age, and Rockstar says fighting for her family ultimately landed her in Leonida Penitentiary.

After getting out, Lucia is determined to change her circumstances. She wants the better life her mother dreamed of since their days in Liberty City, but Rockstar characterizes Lucia as someone willing to take direct action rather than wait for luck.

Her relationship with Jason sits at the center of the main story. What remains unknown is when they first met, whether they were together before her imprisonment, and exactly how their partnership develops across the campaign.

Jason and Lucia's Relationship

Jason and Lucia are more than two unrelated protagonists. Rockstar repeatedly presents them as a personal, romantic and criminal partnership.

The official GTA VI premise says that after an easy score goes wrong and draws them into a conspiracy across Leonida, they are forced to rely on each other more than ever.

That makes their relationship a structural part of the story rather than background flavor. What Rockstar has not revealed is whether their relationship can change through player decisions, whether they can separate temporarily, or how their story ends.

Cal Hampton

Cal Hampton is Jason's friend and a fellow associate of Brian Heder. He appears to occupy a very different place in the criminal world from Jason.

Rockstar describes Cal as happiest staying home, drinking beer, monitoring Coast Guard communications and disappearing into private browser tabs. His official profile leans heavily into paranoia and conspiracy thinking.

That contrast is important: Cal appears comfortable remaining on the margins while Rockstar says Jason has bigger plans.

Cal may therefore function as both a connection to Jason's old Keys lifestyle and a character who reflects GTA VI's broader satire of online conspiracy culture.

Brian Heder

Brian Heder is a veteran drug runner from the old smuggling culture of the Leonida Keys. Rockstar says he continues moving product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori.

Brian has been in the business long enough that he now prefers other people to handle much of the dirty work.

Jason is directly tied to him: Brian lets Jason stay in one of his properties without paying rent as long as Jason helps with local shakedowns.

This makes Brian one of the clearest confirmed links between Jason's personal life and the Keys' criminal economy.

Boobie Ike

Boobie Ike is a local Vice City legend who transformed his street success into a broader business empire.

Rockstar ties him to real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. His most important currently confirmed partnership is with Dre'Quan Priest through Only Raw Records.

Boobie is useful for understanding GTA VI's world because his profile connects several layers of Vice City at once: street crime, legitimate business, nightlife and the music industry.

Whether he becomes an ally, employer or source of conflict for Jason and Lucia has not yet been officially explained.

Dre'Quan Priest

Dre'Quan Priest is a hustler whose long-term goal has always been music rather than becoming a traditional gangster.

He previously dealt on the street and booked acts into Boobie's club, but his ambitions now center on Only Raw Records.

Signing Real Dimez gives him a potential route into the wider Vice City music scene. This creates a clear chain:

Boobie Ike → Dre'Quan Priest → Only Raw Records → Real Dimez.

That music-business network is one of the most clearly defined supporting-character groups Rockstar has revealed before release.

Real Dimez: Bae-Luxe and Roxy

Real Dimez is not one person. It is the rap duo formed by longtime friends Bae-Luxe and Roxy.

Rockstar says the pair have known each other since high school and turned experience shaking down local dealers into money, rap music and a strong social-media presence.

An early collaboration with local rapper DWNPLY pushed them to a higher level. After several difficult years, they are now signed to Dre'Quan's Only Raw Records and are trying to produce another major hit.

Real Dimez gives GTA VI a direct character-level connection between Vice City's crime economy, influencer culture, social media and the music industry.

Raul Bautista

Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber defined by confidence, charm and risk-taking. Rockstar says he is always looking for talented people willing to accept the kind of risks that produce the largest rewards.

The important warning in Raul's profile is that his recklessness increases the stakes with every score. Eventually, Rockstar says his crew will have to commit even further or walk away.

The 2026 Extended Look also places Raul in the same broader criminal action as Jason and Lucia. However, Rockstar has not published the complete mission sequence explaining exactly when or how their partnership begins.

The GTA 6 Character Relationship Map

The official profiles reveal several separate networks rather than one simple cast list.

What Rockstar has deliberately not shown is how all these circles ultimately connect to the Leonida-wide conspiracy at the center of the GTA 6 plot.

Who Can You Play as in GTA 6?

Jason and Lucia are the two central protagonists around whom Rockstar has built the single-player story. Official gameplay material shows the story from both sides of their partnership.

However, Rockstar has not yet published a complete technical explanation of the character-switching system, including when switching is available, whether some missions lock you to one protagonist, or whether free-roam switching works exactly like GTA V.

Until those mechanics are officially detailed or verified in the final game, GTA V's switching rules should not simply be assumed for GTA VI.

Are There More GTA 6 Characters Than These Eight Profiles?

Absolutely. The eight profiles are simply the characters Rockstar has chosen to formally introduce before release.

Even official profile text already mentions additional people such as Lori and DWNPLY, while trailers and gameplay footage contain many other unnamed characters.

For this page, we distinguish three levels:

• Official profile: Rockstar has published a dedicated character biography.
• Officially named: the person is named in Rockstar material but does not have a dedicated profile.
• Shown only: the person appears in official footage but has not been officially identified by name.

We will not turn every face seen for two seconds in a trailer into a “confirmed character.”

Who Voices the GTA 6 Characters?

Rockstar has not published a complete official voice-cast list for GTA VI. In particular, the company has not officially credited the performers behind Jason Duval or Lucia Caminos.

This is important because many pages currently present fan identifications as confirmed casting.

There has been one notable development: actor Stephen Root publicly stated in September 2026 that he is involved in GTA VI. His voice has been associated by fans and media with Brian Heder, but Rockstar has not formally published a credit assigning Root to Brian. We therefore treat his participation as reported/self-disclosed, while the specific character role remains unconfirmed by Rockstar.

Until official credits appear, we will not list speculative actors for Jason, Lucia or the supporting cast.

Are GTA 5 Characters Returning in GTA 6?

No major GTA V protagonist has been officially confirmed for GTA VI. Rockstar has not announced Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton or Trevor Philips as members of the GTA VI cast.

References to previous games, familiar brands or even returning secondary characters would also be different from GTA VI directly continuing GTA V's protagonist story.

Who Is the Main Villain in GTA 6?

Rockstar has not identified GTA VI's principal antagonist.

Raul is officially described as reckless, Brian is involved in drug running, and several characters operate in criminal businesses, but none has been officially presented as the main villain.

The official story synopsis instead refers more broadly to a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida.
