Warlocks level efficiently by letting demons absorb pressure while curses, fire, or shadow magic finish enemies. Their three specializations all use ranged spellcasting, Soul Shards, and cloth armor, but they approach combat differently. Standard characters begin at level 1, while Allied Race Warlocks begin at level 10. Warlock Leveling Overview

Affliction

Affliction spreads damage through Agony and Corruption, then uses Haunt and Unstable Affliction to strengthen important targets. It has the best reason to keep attacking several enemies at once, but applying a full set of effects to targets that die quickly wastes time. Affliction feels strongest when you pull carefully, keep enemies alive long enough for damage-over-time effects to work, and use Fear or your demon to control pressure.

Demonology

Demonology creates a steady stream of demons and turns Soul Shards into Hand of Gul'dan casts. Its damage continues while you move, and its pet gives outdoor combat a forgiving structure. Levels 50–70

Finish the central parts of your specialization tree and improve the buttons you use every fight. Affliction Hero Talents
