Updated: October 12, 2026 for AION 2 Global.
Silentium is a bound progression material in AION 2 that is mainly used in Abyss Supply Requests. Turning it in can reward Abyss Points and Enhance Stones, while selling it to an NPC gives only 5,000 Bound Kina per Silentium.
Quick answer: keep your Silentium instead of immediately selling it. Exploration Expeditions give 4, Conquest gives 7, Transcendence reward cubes give 10, and a Hidden Cube opened with a key provides 10 guaranteed Silentium before additional reward rolls. Check your Supply Requests before converting any surplus into Bound Kina.
What Is Silentium in AION 2?
Silentium (Bound) is a special valuable material connected to the Abyss progression system. It cannot be freely traded with other players, so the Silentium you collect is mainly for your own character progression.
Its most important use is completing Abyss Supply Requests. These requests consume Silentium and can return Abyss Points together with Enhance Stones. Because Abyss Points are part of PvP and Abyss progression, Silentium becomes considerably more useful than its NPC sell price suggests.
Silentium stacks up to 1,000, so there is little reason to sell a small stockpile just to clear inventory space.
How to Get Silentium in AION 2
The most reliable Global sources are Expeditions, Transcendence dungeons and Hidden Cubes. Silentium also appears in progression rewards such as Daeva Pass and certain seasonal objectives.
| Source | Silentium | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Expedition — Exploration | 4 | Guaranteed in the relevant reward cube. |
| Expedition — Conquest | 7 | Higher payout than Exploration. |
| Transcendence dungeon | 10 | Guaranteed in eligible Transcendence reward cubes. |
| Hidden Cube with a key | 10 guaranteed | Additional Silentium rolls may also be possible depending on the cube reward table. |
| Daeva Pass / progression rewards | Varies | Check the current season and reward track. |
| Sanctuary Raid: Ludra | Not currently farmable | Ludra is temporarily unavailable in the Global launch build. |
If you are still progressing through normal group content, start with our AION 2 Dungeons Guide. At endgame, the Transcendence Dungeons Guide covers the harder versions that currently provide a larger Silentium reward.
Best Way to Farm Silentium
There is no reason to judge Silentium farming only by the number shown on one reward cube. Entry resources, reward claims, group speed and the other loot you need all matter.
1. Claim Your Expedition Rewards
Exploration is the basic option and gives 4 Silentium from its reward cube. Conquest increases that to 7. If you already need equipment, Enhance Stones or other dungeon rewards, this is the most natural way to accumulate Silentium without farming a separate activity only for the material.
2. Prioritize Transcendence When You Can Clear It Reliably
Eligible Transcendence reward cubes provide 10 Silentium. For example, current Global data for Deus Research Base lists 10 Silentium as a guaranteed reward.
Do not force a harder dungeon only for three additional Silentium if your group is failing repeatedly. A completed Conquest claim is more useful than an unfinished Transcendence run.
3. Open Hidden Cubes When You Have Keys
A Hidden Cube opened with a key is one of the strongest secondary Silentium sources because the keyed reward table includes 10 guaranteed Silentium alongside other materials.
Hidden Cubes are also useful for Soul Crystals, Soul Codices and other progression items, so they are worth including in your normal exploration route. Our Hidden Cubes guide covers locations, keys and rewards separately.

View All Aion 2 ServicesWhat Is Silentium Used For?
The primary use is Abyss Supply Requests. The Global data contains both Emergency and Weekly Silentium requests with different required quantities and payouts.
| Request | Silentium Required | Abyss Points | Enhance Stones |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emergency | 5 | 980 | 250 |
| Emergency | 8 | 1,640 | 420 |
| Emergency | 10 | 2,240 | 570 |
| Weekly | 20 | 3,210 | 820 |
| Weekly | 30 | 5,410 | 1,390 |
| Weekly | 50 | 9,980 | 2,560 |
The available request is not necessarily the same every time the Supply Request board refreshes. If the Silentium request you want is missing, keeping your material for a later rotation is usually better than immediately selling it.

Should You Sell Silentium for Kina?
You can sell Silentium to an NPC shop for 5,000 Bound Kina each. This is different from tradable Market currency: the item itself is bound, and the Kina received from its shop value is also bound.
For most progressing characters, selling Silentium is the weaker choice because an eligible Supply Request converts the same resource into Abyss Points and Enhance Stones.
Selling becomes reasonable when you already have more Silentium than you expect to use in upcoming requests and you specifically need Bound Kina. Before doing that, check the current Emergency and Weekly requests.
How Much Silentium Should You Keep?
A practical target is to keep at least 50 Silentium available. That is enough to cover the largest currently documented Weekly Silentium request without having to start farming after it appears.
After building that reserve, additional Silentium can still be useful for future Emergency requests, seasonal objectives or later rotations. There is no need to treat 50 as a hard cap.
Does Nightmare Drop Silentium?
Current Global acquisition data for Silentium lists Expeditions, Transcendence content, Hidden Cubes, progression rewards and Sanctuary-related data, but it does not list Nightmare as a standard Silentium farming source.
If Silentium is your goal, spend your limited reward opportunities on content that explicitly includes it instead of assuming every endgame activity drops the material.
Silentium and Ludra
Current client data still associates Silentium with Abyssal Forge: Ludra, but Sanctuary Raid: Ludra is temporarily unavailable in the Global launch version. NC removed the original encounter after Early Access and is preparing an updated version.
For that reason, Ludra should not be included in a current farming route until the raid returns. We will update this guide when the new Global version becomes available.
Best Silentium Routine
- Use your available Expedition reward claims on content you already need for gear.
- Choose Conquest over Exploration when the higher difficulty is efficient for your group.
- Claim eligible Transcendence rewards for 10 Silentium when you can clear them consistently.
- Open Hidden Cubes whenever you have keys.
- Check Daeva Pass and seasonal progression for extra Silentium.
- Check Emergency and Weekly Supply Requests before selling anything.
- Keep roughly 50 Silentium as a reserve for a high-volume Weekly request.
If you are planning the rest of your weekly progression at the same time, use our AION 2 Daily and Weekly Checklist to avoid wasting limited claims and reset-based activities.
Final Takeaway
Silentium is not a rare material that needs a dedicated all-day farm. The efficient approach is to collect it naturally through Expeditions, Transcendence reward cubes and Hidden Cubes, then save it for good Supply Requests.
The important part is what you do with it afterward: check the Supply Request board before selling Silentium for Bound Kina. Abyss Points and Enhance Stones usually make the material much more valuable as a progression resource than as a simple vendor item.
