Use this CS2 Premier Rating Percentile Calculator to estimate where your CS Rating currently sits among active tracked Premier players. Enter your rating to see your color tier, estimated percentile, approximate Top X%, share of players below you and the rating still needed for the next major milestones.
The calculator uses current multi-million-player Premier tracking data rather than old launch-era distributions. Because Valve does not publish a complete Premier percentile table, percentile results should be treated as third-party estimates rather than official Valve statistics.
15,000 CS Rating is estimated around the 70.3th percentile, or approximately Top ~30% among currently tracked active Premier players.
| Milestone | Points Remaining | Current Approx. Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 15,000 | Reached | Good / roughly Top 30% |
| 20,000 | 5,000 | Very good / roughly Top 10% |
| 25,000 | 10,000 | Elite tracked range / roughly Top 2% |
| 30,000 | 15,000 | Exceptionally rare / around Top 0.1% |
How the CS2 Premier Percentile Calculator Works
The calculator uses a current distribution built from millions of active tracked Premier players.
Instead of assigning one percentile to an entire 5,000-point color band, the model uses distribution buckets every 1,000 CS Rating.
For example, 15,000 and 19,900 are both Purple, but they should not receive the same estimated percentile. The calculator therefore interpolates inside the relevant 1,000-point bucket to produce a more useful estimate.
This gives the tool three levels of information:
- your official Premier color band;
- your estimated position within the tracked population;
- your distance to useful rating milestones.
What Does “Top X%” Mean?
If the calculator says Top 10%, it means approximately 10% of the tracked active Premier population is at your rating or higher.
Another way to describe the same position is roughly the 90th percentile: around 90% of tracked players are below you.
Examples:
| Result | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Top 50% | Approximately half of tracked players are above you and half below |
| Top 30% | Approximately 70% are below you |
| Top 10% | Approximately 90% are below you |
| Top 2% | Approximately 98% are below you |
| Top 0.1% | Approximately 99.9% are below you |
Current CS2 Premier Rating Benchmarks
| CS Rating | Approximate Position | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| 10,000 | About Top 56% | Near the current middle of the ladder |
| 15,000 | About Top 30% | Good / clearly above average |
| 20,000 | About Top 10% | Very good / high-level |
| 25,000 | About Top 2% | Elite tracked range |
| 30,000+ | About Top 0.1% | Exceptionally rare |

The most useful current public tracking data provides distribution shares in roughly 1,000-rating intervals.
That is much more precise than using only Valve's broad 5,000-point color bands.
For example, the entire Purple band runs from 15,000 to 19,999. A player at 15,050 sits close to the beginning of that band, while a player at 19,950 is almost at the Pink boundary.
Giving both players the same “Top 30%” result would throw away useful information.
Why the Result Is Still an Estimate
The calculator cannot know the exact position of every CS2 player because Valve does not expose a full public population distribution.
Third-party datasets can differ because of:
- sample size;
- activity window;
- region coverage;
- which profiles and matches are visible;
- the definition of an active player;
- the date the data was collected.
The calculator is therefore best used for answering questions such as “am I roughly Top 10%?” rather than claiming an exact global ranking position.
Why 30K+ Is Treated Differently
The population above 30,000 is extremely small.
Current tracking rounds several high-rating buckets to values close to zero, making precise interpolation misleading.
For that reason the calculator reports 30K+ conservatively as approximately the 99.9th percentile or better rather than inventing false precision such as 99.947th percentile.
Is 15K a Good Premier Rating?
Yes. Current large datasets place 15K at roughly the Top 30% of tracked active Premier players.
That makes 15K the first useful milestone where “clearly above average” becomes a reasonable description.
Is 20K a High Premier Rating?
Yes. Current distributions put the 20K threshold close to the Top 10%.
Approximately nine out of ten tracked active Premier players are below that point.
How Rare Is 25K?
25K is currently around the Top 2% of tracked Premier players.
At this level, comparing yourself with the overall average becomes less useful than comparing exact rating, consistency and leaderboard progress.
How Rare Is 30K?
30K+ represents roughly one tenth of one percent of the currently tracked active population.
It is also the beginning of Premier's highest visible color band, Gold.
However, 30K is not a published rating cap and does not automatically guarantee a Top-1000 Valve leaderboard position.
Percentile vs Premier Leaderboard Position
Percentile and leaderboard rank are related but not identical.
A percentile estimates your position against a broad tracked population.
Valve's Premier leaderboards display the Top 1,000 eligible players for specific regions and the World leaderboard.
The rating needed to appear there changes continuously and varies by region.
Color Tier vs Percentile
Premier color bands are useful milestones but are too broad to describe exact standing.
| Color | Rating | Current Tracked Share |
|---|---|---|
| Gray | Below 5K | ~20.9% |
| Light Blue | 5K–9.9K | ~23.2% |
| Blue | 10K–14.9K | ~26.2% |
| Purple | 15K–19.9K | ~19.5% |
| Pink | 20K–24.9K | ~8.4% |
| Red | 25K–29.9K | ~1.8% |
| Gold | 30K+ | ~0.1% |

How to Use Your Result
The most useful next step is not obsessing over the decimal percentile. Use the result to set the next measurable rating target.
If you are 13.8K, 15K is a better immediate goal than 25K.
If you are 18.9K, focus on breaking and then maintaining 20K.
If you are already above 25K, exact rating stability and leaderboard progress become more informative than broad labels such as “good” or “above average.”
Premier Rating Is Not FACEIT Elo
This calculator only estimates your position in CS2 Premier.
It does not convert your rating to FACEIT Elo because there is no public official conversion formula between the two systems.
For the proper comparison, read CS2 Premier vs FACEIT.

Data note: percentile estimates use current October 2026 multi-million-player Premier tracking data. Valve does not publish a complete official Premier percentile distribution, so results are estimates and can change as the active player population moves.
