Nyx is Star Citizen’s independent frontier system, positioned between the structured corporate environment of Stanton and the harsher outlaw space of Pyro. Its live version centers on Delamar, the settlement of Levski, the Glaciem Ring, the distant Keeger Belt, system gateways, abandoned QV facilities and mission chains involving the People’s Alliance, InterSec Defense Solutions, Shattered Blade and Vanduul activity.
This guide is updated for Alpha 4.8.2. It explains the current Nyx locations, travel routes, factions, QV Breaker Stations, Wikelo connection, missions, shops and practical preparation. Nyx was introduced to LIVE in Alpha 4.4, but the guide is intentionally evergreen and should remain on a clean URL without a patch number.
What Is the Nyx System?
Nyx is an unclaimed star system located near a dark nebula. The UEE chose not to terraform its three planets, and early industrial attempts inside the dense asteroid belts were considered too dangerous. Over time, political refugees, miners, traders, smugglers and independent settlers established a permanent presence.
The system is primarily controlled by the People’s Alliance, headquartered at Levski. However, Nyx is not uniformly governed. Criminal groups operate in remote belts, abandoned industrial facilities have changed hands and Vanduul incursions have increased pressure on the local population.
Nyx System Map and Main Locations
| Location | Type | Current Role |
|---|---|---|
| Nyx I | Planet | One of Nyx’s three non-terraformed planets |
| Nyx II | Planet | Remote planetary body with limited current player infrastructure |
| Nyx III | Planet | Outer planetary body in the system |
| Delamar | Large asteroid | Home of Levski and the system’s main populated destination |
| Levski | Landing zone | Primary social, trade, medical, ship and mission hub |
| Glaciem Ring | Inner asteroid belt | People’s Alliance territory, stations, navigation and frontier activity |
| Keeger Belt | Outer asteroid belt | Remote criminal activity and QV Breaker Stations |
| People’s Service Stations | Space stations | People’s Alliance service infrastructure around the system |
| QV Services / Breaker Stations | Abandoned industrial stations | Combat, resource gathering and InterSec contracts |
| Stanton Gateway | Gateway station | Travel and logistics connection toward Stanton |
| Pyro Gateway | Gateway station | Travel and logistics connection toward Pyro |
How to Reach Nyx
Nyx is connected to both Stanton and Pyro through jump-point routes. Select Nyx in the Starmap, plot a route through the appropriate gateway and prepare for intersystem travel.
For the first journey:
- refuel before entering the jump route;
- repair damaged components;
- bring armor, weapons, medical supplies and replacement gear;
- keep enough aUEC for fuel, repairs and recovery;
- use a ship with adequate quantum range and an interior for supplies;
- do not carry every valuable item on the first scouting run.
Gateway stations provide cargo and refinery-related services, making them useful staging points before continuing toward Levski or another system.
Get any Star Citizen service from ExpCarry: raids, dungeons, PvP, leveling, gold, farming, coaching, and custom orders.
Levski and Delamar

Levski is an independent settlement built inside the asteroid Delamar. It is the political center of the People’s Alliance and the most populated and heavily trafficked location in Nyx.
Levski serves as the practical base for Nyx operations. Players can use it to recover, buy supplies, manage ships and vehicles, check contracts and prepare for missions in the surrounding asteroid belts.
Important Levski services
- hangars and landing services;
- habitation and medical facilities;
- repair, refuel and rearm services;
- cargo and refinery-related shops;
- personal equipment vendors;
- ship sales and rentals at Teach’s Ship Shop;
- mission access and local faction activity.
Teach’s Ship Shop
Teach’s Ship Shop is currently the only ship dealership in Nyx. It sells and rents spacecraft and ground vehicles. Alpha 4.8 inventory includes standard ships and several Teach’s Special industrial variants.
This makes Levski useful not only as a mission hub but also as a place to rent or buy ships for salvage, mining, hauling and general Nyx exploration.
Levski navigation tips
- Use the central borehole and major vertical spaces as orientation points.
- Learn the route between habs, hospital, customs and hangars before accepting timed contracts.
- Account for elevator and interior travel when moving mission cargo.
- Avoid jumping over railings: Alpha 4.8 currently lists a known issue that can leave players stuck at Levski.
Glaciem Ring vs Keeger Belt
The two asteroid regions should not be treated as the same location.
| Region | Position | Gameplay Identity |
|---|---|---|
| Glaciem Ring | Nyx belt alpha | Dense inner asteroid ring associated with Levski, People’s Alliance settlement history and local service infrastructure |
| Keeger Belt | Nyx belt beta | Colder and more remote outer belt with suspected criminal strongholds and QV Breaker Stations |
The Glaciem Ring defines the industrial and political history of Levski. The Keeger Belt is more remote and dangerous and is the main region associated with Breaker Station gameplay.
People’s Service Stations
The People’s Alliance operates service stations throughout Nyx. Current location data includes:
- People’s Service Station Alpha;
- People’s Service Station Delta;
- People’s Service Station Lambda;
- People’s Service Station Theta.
These stations support travel and logistics away from Levski. Their exact available services can vary, so verify landing, cargo, refinery and shop functions in the live build before planning a route around a single station.
QV Breaker Stations
QV Breaker Stations are abandoned facilities originally operated by QV Planet Services. They were introduced as QV Services Stations with Nyx in Alpha 4.4 and expanded into the Operation Breaker Stations gameplay loop in Alpha 4.7.
The facilities are scattered through the Keeger Belt and are currently controlled by the Shattered Blade. They are not ordinary public stations. Access is tied to contracts from InterSec Defense Solutions.
What happens at Breaker Stations?
- Players accept a paid-entry contract from InterSec.
- The contract grants access to a selected station.
- Players enter an abandoned industrial complex occupied by hostile forces.
- Combat and exploration lead into resource-rich mining areas.
- High-value crafting materials can be gathered from the location.
- The mission is designed as a resource-acquisition loop, not only an NPC-profit farm.
Breaker Stations are among the most important current Nyx activities because they connect FPS combat, physical access, mining, crafting materials and faction reputation.
Breaker Station preparation
- Bring a full FPS combat loadout.
- Carry spare ammunition, MedPens and oxygen support.
- Leave enough inventory capacity for resources and loot.
- Use a ship with interior storage and a fast extraction route.
- Expect other players around valuable resource locations.
- Confirm the active InterSec contract before travelling into the Keeger Belt.
Nyx Factions and Organizations
| Faction | Role in Nyx | Player Relationship |
|---|---|---|
| People’s Alliance | Independent political organization controlling Levski and much of Nyx’s settled infrastructure | Local authority and central Nyx identity |
| InterSec Defense Solutions | Security contractor investigating and responding to threats around QV facilities | Provides contracts, including Breaker Station access |
| Shattered Blade | Hostile faction occupying former QV stations | Primary enemy in Breaker Station operations |
| Vanduul | External hostile force conducting raids and connected to stolen or trafficked technology | Combat threat in Nyx story and mission content |
| Wikelo’s Emporium | Independent Banu barter and reward network | Separate contract system connected to items, resources and special rewards |
People’s Alliance
The People’s Alliance was formed by political activists and refugees who fled the Messer regime and settled in an abandoned asteroid-mining facility in the Glaciem Ring. Levski grew from that settlement and remains the organization’s headquarters.
InterSec Defense Solutions
InterSec is the primary contract organization associated with investigating QV facilities and combating hostile occupation. It is central to Sworn Enemies and Operation Breaker Stations content.
Shattered Blade
Shattered Blade controls the abandoned QV stations used in current Breaker Station contracts. It represents the main local hostile faction for these resource and FPS operations.
Vanduul activity
Nyx’s current story includes increased Vanduul pressure. The original Sworn Enemies operation follows a trail involving Vanduul technology sold to the Advocacy Science Division. Vanduul ships and raids are therefore part of the system’s active security context, not only background lore.
Nyx Mission Packs
Nyx launched with its first mission pack in Alpha 4.4. Alpha 4.7.2 added Nyx Mission Pack 2, expanding contracts across multiple archetypes and organizations. Some factions now use reputation scopes, making repeated Nyx activity relevant to mission access and progression.
Current Nyx mission categories
- combat and security contracts;
- Breaker Station operations;
- courier and delivery missions;
- hauling missions between systems;
- contracts supporting People’s Alliance and other organizations;
- missions involving hostile factions and Vanduul activity;
- resource acquisition and crafting-material loops.
The exact contract list depends on reputation, location, server state and current patch tuning.
Sworn Enemies Operation
Sworn Enemies was introduced as the operation welcoming players to Nyx. InterSec asks contractors to investigate abandoned QV Logistics facilities and follow the trail of Vanduul technology that was sold to the Advocacy Science Division.
The operation establishes the main conflict structure:
- InterSec provides the contract.
- Players investigate former QV facilities.
- Hostile groups control or exploit the locations.
- Evidence connects local criminal activity to dangerous alien technology.
How Wikelo Connects to Nyx
Wikelo is not a Nyx faction and does not replace Nyx reputation. Wikelo’s Emporium is a separate Banu contract and barter system that operates through its own Emporium stations and customer ranks.
The connection to Nyx is practical:
- Nyx launched with new Wikelo reward offerings.
- Nyx and Breaker Station content provides access to valuable resources and equipment used in the wider crafting and barter economy.
- Levski’s shops and ship rentals can support material-gathering routes.
- Players may travel through Nyx while gathering items needed for Wikelo contracts.
Alpha 4.4 added Wikelo rewards including the RSI Meteor and Guardian MX variants. Later patches added further Wikelo ship and equipment offers. Always check the live contract before moving materials because recipes and requirements can change.
For the full reward and material structure, use the Star Citizen Wikelo Ship List and the separate Wikelo Favors Guide.
Trading, Hauling and Industrial Gameplay
Nyx supports interstellar hauling routes connecting it with Stanton and Pyro. Alpha 4.4 also added exterior freight elevators and gateway logistics to support physical cargo movement between systems.
Useful Nyx industrial activities include:
- interstellar hauling;
- cargo and refinery services at gateways and Levski;
- resource acquisition at Breaker Stations;
- ship purchases and rentals at Teach’s Ship Shop;
- mining and salvage preparation;
- moving crafting or Wikelo materials between systems.
Do not select a route only by the commodity price. Include jump travel, loading time, external freight handling, refueling and player-risk exposure.
Best Ships for Nyx
| Goal | Recommended Ship Type | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| First visit | Durable multi-role ship with interior | Avenger Titan, Cutlass Black, Freelancer |
| Long Nyx session | Multi-role ship with storage and range | Cutlass Black, Constellation Taurus, Corsair |
| Breaker Station FPS | Compact insertion ship with storage or medical support | C8R Pisces, Cutlass Red, Cutlass Black |
| Interstellar hauling | Cargo ship matched to station and container requirements | Hull A, Taurus, C2, Hull C |
| Mining | Dedicated mining ship | Prospector, MOLE |
| Salvage | Dedicated salvage ship | Vulture, Reclaimer |
| Combat missions | Durable fighter or gunship | Vanguard, Constellation Andromeda, crewed Hurricane |
Nyx vs Stanton vs Pyro
| System | Political Identity | Main Gameplay Character |
|---|---|---|
| Stanton | Corporate UEE system | Established cities, predictable services and broad starter activity |
| Pyro | Unclaimed outlaw-dominated system | Harsh travel, gang control and high security risk |
| Nyx | Independent frontier led by the People’s Alliance | Levski, asteroid belts, intersystem hauling, Breaker Stations and political gray zones |
First Nyx Trip Checklist
- Set a clear objective: Levski, hauling, Breaker Station, shopping or exploration.
- Use a ship with enough quantum range and interior storage.
- Repair and refuel before the jump.
- Carry replacement FPS equipment and medical supplies.
- Keep aUEC for insurance claims, fuel and local purchases.
- Scout Levski before moving your main inventory.
- Check faction and mission prerequisites.
