September 2026 preview: friendship is the theme of the next WoW Trading Post rotation, with four purchasable mounts, the returning promotional pet Gummi, inexpensive matching transmogs, a full weapon collection and a special BlizzCon 2026 Trading Post Outlet. The September catalog has been announced but is not active yet at the time of this preview.
Quick answer: complete the September Traveler's Log for the Crested Ember Leafmimic, then spend your Trader's Tender according to your collection. The two other Leafmimics cost 500 each, the Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon costs 650, and Gummi costs 250. A fresh monthly budget is normally 1,000 Tender, while the complete regular September shop costs 6,530, so prioritizing and freezing one expensive item matters.
WoW Trading Post September 2026 Overview
| September feature | What it means |
|---|---|
| Monthly bonus | Crested Ember Leafmimic mount for filling the Traveler's Log; no Tender purchase required. |
| Regular catalog | 48 purchasable rewards costing 6,530 Trader's Tender in total. |
| Main collectibles | Four mounts, one pet, 29 armor entries and 14 weapon appearances or arsenals. |
| Special event | A BlizzCon 2026 Outlet in Dornogal and Silvermoon City brings back a very large selection of previous rewards, including former monthly bonuses. |
| Normal monthly income | 500 Tender from the Collector's Cache plus up to 500 through Traveler's Log activities. |
The September rotation is unusually demanding because the Outlet is additional to the regular catalog. The preview does not announce a separate extra Tender grant, so plan around the standard monthly 1,000 unless Blizzard adds another source. Unspent Trader's Tender carries over, which gives players with savings much more freedom.
September Traveler's Log Bonus Reward
The headline reward is the Crested Ember Leafmimic. This red-scaled mount is earned by filling the progress bar at the top of the Traveler's Log, not by purchasing it from the vendor. Open the Adventure Guide with Shift-J, select the Traveler's Log and complete any combination of eligible activities until the monthly bar is full.
You do not need to finish every listed activity. The log normally includes more objectives than required and covers quests, dungeons, raids, PvP, professions, holidays and special monthly tasks. Choose activities that overlap with what you already planned to do. A level 10 character is required to access the Adventure Guide.
Get any World of Warcraft service from ExpCarry: raids, dungeons, PvP, leveling, gold, farming, coaching, and custom orders.
Best September 2026 Trading Post Rewards
There is no universal best purchase, because Trading Post rewards are cosmetic. These are the most useful priorities for different collectors:
- Best no-cost reward: Crested Ember Leafmimic. Finish the log even if you buy nothing.
- Best pet priority: Gummi for 250. This former promotional pet appears at the Trading Post for the first time.
- Best single September mount: Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon for 650 if you prefer a distinct gryphon model over collecting Leafmimic colors.
- Best matched mount pair: Crested Aqua Leafmimic and Crested Verdant Leafmimic cost exactly 1,000 together.
- Best full transmog: Ensemble: The Speaker's Ceremonial Collection for 575 includes nine appearances.
- Best low-cost additions: belts, skirts, vests, hats and bracelets cost only 30–50 each, making them easy ways to use a leftover balance.
If you want help completing the monthly bar before the rotation ends, the WoW Trading Post service covers Traveler's Log progress and selected Trading Post goals. Collectors planning beyond this rotation can also use our WoW mount guide hub for current mount sources and farming routes.

September 2026 Armor Transmog Rewards
The armor section costs 2,205 Tender in total. The small 30–50 pieces are especially useful after a larger purchase, but inspect the appearance on your own character before buying several recolors.

September Trading Post Outlet for BlizzCon 2026
The special Outlet is the defining September feature. Vendors in Dornogal and Silvermoon City offer a much larger return catalog of old mounts, pets, toys, armor and weapon appearances. Previous monthly completion rewards can also be bought with Trader's Tender for the first time. This Outlet stock is separate from the 48-item regular September rotation.
The Outlet contains hundreds of entries, so the following table is a curated shortlist of high-profile former bonuses and collector targets, not the complete inventory.
| Outlet highlight | Type or contents | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| X-treme Water Blaster Display | Toy | 350 |
| Savage Green Battle Turtle | Mount | 500 |
| Arsenal: Blades of Elune | Two one-hand sword appearances | 600 |
| Eve's Ghastly Rider | Mount | 600 |
| Depthstalker | Mount | 600 |
| Plunderlord's Golden Crocolisk | Mount | 600 |
| Arsenal: Cosmic Weapons Cache | Five weapon appearances | 700 |
| Crusty Crawler | Mount | 700 |
| Ensemble: Darkmoon Harlequin's Bells | Seven armor slots | 750 |
| Ensemble: Love Witch's Attire | Seven armor slots | 750 |
| Quawks | Mount | 750 |
| Ensemble: Bones of the Bloodhunter | Eight armor slots | 800 |
| Arsenal: Crests of the Kingdom | Four back appearances | 850 |
| Ensemble: Purple Snugglefin Murloc Romper | Six armor slots | 850 |
| Ash'adar, Harbinger of Dawn | Mount | 900 |
Check the Outlet before spending on regular recolors. A former monthly bonus you have wanted for years may be harder to replace than a new color variant. If your preferred Outlet reward costs more than your remaining balance, use the freeze slot if the interface allows that specific listing to be frozen, then verify that it remains in the frozen slot before the monthly reset.
Best September Trader's Tender Buying Plans
| Collector goal | Suggested purchases | Total | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leafmimic collection | Aqua Leafmimic + Verdant Leafmimic | 1,000 | Both purchasable colors, plus Ember from the log. |
| Gryphon and pet | Cinder-Plumed Highland Gryphon + Gummi + one 100-cost ensemble or tabard | 1,000 | A major mount, the first-time pet and one small cosmetic. |
| Transmog-first | Speaker's Ceremonial Collection + two 150 weapons + two 50 pieces | 975 | A complete armor collection, two weapons and two accents. |
| Save for Outlet | Buy only Gummi or one low-cost favorite; reserve the rest | 0–250+ | Maximum flexibility for a returning 600–900 Tender reward. |
Do not spend simply to reach zero. Trader's Tender has no monthly expiration, and Trading Post items can return in later rotations, but Blizzard does not guarantee when a specific reward will appear again. Saving 200–400 each quiet month is the easiest way to prepare for rotations like this one.
How the WoW Trading Post Works
The Trading Post is Retail World of Warcraft's monthly cosmetic shop. It does not sell power, item level or combat advantages. Its stock rotates each calendar month and can include mounts, battle pets, toys, armor appearances and weapon appearances.
How to unlock and access the Trading Post
- Use a Retail WoW account with active game time or a subscription. The system is not available in WoW Classic.
- Visit a Trading Post vendor and complete the introductory tour if the account has never used the feature.
- Collect the monthly currency from the Collector's Cache at the Trading Post.
- At level 10 or higher, press Shift-J and open the Traveler's Log in the Adventure Guide.
- Complete enough listed activities for the remaining Tender and the monthly bonus reward.
How to earn Trader's Tender
| Source | Normal amount | Important rule |
|---|---|---|
| Collector's Cache | 500 each month | Available to an account in good standing with active game time; collect it at a Trading Post. |
| Traveler's Log | Up to 500 each month | Earned through selected monthly activities; completing every objective is unnecessary. |
| Introductory or promotional grants | Varies | One-time or offer-specific, so do not include them in a recurring budget. |
Trader's Tender is account-wide and unused currency rolls over. The standard repeatable monthly total is therefore 1,000, but a saved balance can be much larger. Travel Points are progress toward the month's reward track; they are not an unlimited source of extra currency after the track is complete.
Where to find Trading Post vendors
| City | Location | Waypoint |
|---|---|---|
| Stormwind | T&W outside the Mage District | /way Stormwind 49.5 69.5 |
| Orgrimmar | Zen'shiri Trading Post next to Grommash Hold | /way Orgrimmar 43.08 42.22 |
| Dornogal | The Foregrounds, below the flight master area | /way Dornogal 44.0 56.0 |
| Silvermoon City | Upper-level Trading Post | /way #2393 49.2 78.9 |
For September 2026, visit Dornogal or Silvermoon in addition to the normal capital-city post because the special Outlet inventory is tied to those locations.
How to freeze a Trading Post item
The Trading Post provides one freeze slot. Place an unpurchased reward there and it stays available across monthly rotations until you buy it or replace it with another frozen item. This is the correct tool for one must-have reward when you are short on Tender; it is not extra storage for several items. Confirm the correct reward is visibly frozen before the reset.
When the Trading Post resets
The catalog rotates monthly. Use the timer shown in the Trading Post interface as the final deadline for your region, especially near maintenance or a time-zone boundary. Unspent Tender remains on the account, but unfrozen stock leaves the active catalog and has no guaranteed return month.
September 2026 Trading Post Checklist
- Collect the cache first: take the monthly 500 Tender before planning purchases.
- Open Shift-J: identify the easiest Traveler's Log activities that overlap with your normal play.
- Finish the log: secure the Crested Ember Leafmimic and up to 500 more Tender.
- Inspect both catalogs: compare the regular September vendor with the Outlet in Dornogal or Silvermoon.
- Check ownership: do not budget for appearances, mounts or pets already in your collection.
- Choose one priority: rare return, new mount family, pet or transmog—not every category at once.
- Use the freeze slot: reserve the one item you cannot afford before the rotation changes.
- Keep the remainder: unused Trader's Tender rolls into October.
Is the September 2026 Trading Post Worth It?
September is one of the strongest collector rotations of 2026 because it combines a free Leafmimic mount, a complete three-color mount theme, Gummi's first Trading Post appearance and a rare Outlet filled with previous rewards. It is also impossible to clear with a normal fresh monthly balance: the regular catalog alone costs 6,530 Tender before any Outlet purchase.
The sensible plan is to finish the Traveler's Log, inspect the Outlet before spending, buy one collection priority and freeze one expensive target if necessary. This article uses an evergreen URL and permanent system guide; the monthly reward tables can be replaced when the October catalog is announced without losing the core WoW Trading Post resource.
Reward names, item IDs and Tender prices were checked against the official September 2026 announcement and the live Wowhead item database. The catalog is a preview until the September rotation becomes active; Blizzard can still correct names, costs or availability.
