Diablo 4 Mechanics

1. Health

In the game, there are various ways to heal your character. The main way is to use a health potion. You will start off with a weak potion. Many items and bonuses affect you differently depending on your status. 

2. Leveling up and picking skills

3. Different item tiers

4. Renown

• 20 points for unlocking Waypoints.

5. Elites and bosses

6. The Blacksmith

The Blacksmith can repair and salvage gear and upgrade Items. As a beginner, you will want to collect as many items as you can because most of them can be salvaged. Materials are used when upgrading items. Something that appears to have little value early in the game can give you quite a boost later in the game. The cost of upgrades will increase the more you upgrade. 

7. Gems and item sockets

As you travel around Sanctuary you will find different types of gems. You will place these seven different kinds of gems into the sockets of items. You can upgrade these gems at the Jeweller. What the gems can do depends on their base values.
