To get Gladiator in Midnight Season 2, reach the Elite rating threshold of 2,300 in rated 3v3 Arena and then win 50 games at or above that rating during the season. Completing the achievement awards the Midnight Season 2 Gladiator title and the seasonal Gladiator mount, Prized Gladiator’s Fel Bat. The 2,300 requirement also applies to the related top-end PvP ranks introduced with the Midnight PvP system.

What Is Required for Gladiator in Midnight Season 2?
Gladiator is a seasonal rated PvP achievement tied specifically to 3v3 Arena. You must first reach 2,300 rating, which is the Elite threshold in Midnight Season 2. After reaching that rating, you need 50 victories in 3v3 while remaining at or above the required rating.
The achievement is not awarded for reaching 2,300 alone. It is also not enough to win 50 games at lower ratings and then climb afterward. Your qualifying victories must be earned while your team is playing at the Elite threshold or higher.
Once the achievement is completed, you receive the seasonal Gladiator title and Prized Gladiator’s Fel Bat. The title is separate from Prized Gladiator, which is reserved for players who finish in the top 0.1% of the 3v3 ladder and meet the season’s additional win requirement.
How the Midnight Season 2 Gladiator Requirement Works
Step 1: Reach 2,300 rating in rated 3v3
Form a rated 3v3 team and climb to at least 2,300 personal rating. Midnight uses personal rating for the relevant rated PvP rewards, so your rating and your qualifying wins are tracked on the character earning the achievement.
Reaching 2,300 grants the Elite rank. The rating threshold is lower than the 2,400 requirement used in The War Within Season 2 and Season 3, but the Gladiator achievement remains a high-end 3v3 goal because you must continue winning after reaching Elite.
Step 2: Win 50 games at Elite rating
After reaching 2,300, continue playing rated 3v3 and earn 50 victories while at or above the threshold. Your progress is tracked by the Gladiator achievement in the Achievements interface.
Because your rating can fall below 2,300, protect your qualifying progress by avoiding unnecessary games when your team is on a losing streak. A win earned before reaching Elite does not replace the required Elite wins. If your rating drops, you must return to 2,300 before continuing to build qualifying progress.
Step 3: Finish before the season ends
Gladiator is a seasonal reward. Complete both the rating and win requirements before Midnight Season 2 closes. Once the season ends, rated PvP remains available for Honor and Conquest, but seasonal Gladiator rewards and the season-specific achievement are no longer obtainable through normal play.
Do not leave the final 50 wins until the last few days. Queue times, rating volatility, team availability and unexpected maintenance can make a late-season push considerably less reliable.

Which PvP Bracket Gives Gladiator?
| Rated mode | Gladiator progress | Primary seasonal reward |
|---|---|---|
| Rated 3v3 Arena | Yes | Gladiator title and Prized Gladiator’s Fel Bat after 50 wins at 2,300 rating |
| Rated Solo Shuffle | No | Separate Legend achievement and reward structure |
| Rated Battleground Blitz | No | Separate Strategist achievement and reward structure |
| 2v2 Arena | No | Rating and PvP gear progress, but not the Gladiator achievement |
Rated Solo Shuffle, Rated Battleground Blitz and 2v2 Arena can help you practice your class, earn Conquest and improve your decision-making, but they do not provide Gladiator progress. The Gladiator achievement is tied to rated 3v3 wins.
How to Prepare for a Gladiator Push
Choose a stable 3v3 composition
A consistent team is more valuable than repeatedly changing partners. Choose teammates whose classes and playstyles fit your own, then agree on a regular schedule, voice communication and a clear plan for reviewing losses.
Your composition should have a reliable answer to crowd control, offensive pressure, defensive cooldown trading and enemy dampening. You do not need to play the most popular composition to reach Gladiator, but every player must understand the team’s win condition.
Build a complete PvP gear set
Use Midnight Season 2 PvP gear for rated combat and prioritize the itemization, embellishments, gems and crafted pieces recommended for your specialization. PvP gear is designed around its combat scaling and should form the foundation of your Arena set.
Do not assume that a high item-level PvE item is automatically better in Arena. Compare the item’s PvP scaling, secondary stats and effect with your specialization’s current needs. A lower-looking PvP item can outperform a PvE item once combat scaling and PvP-specific stats are considered.
Set up talents for the current PvP environment
Maintain separate PvE and PvP talent loadouts. Midnight includes class and PvP talent changes that affect crowd control, defensive cooldowns, dispels, interrupts and burst windows.
Before pushing rating, make sure you know:
- Which enemy abilities must be interrupted or dispelled.
- Which defensive cooldowns can be traded against major enemy offensives.
- Which crowd-control effects share diminishing returns.
- How your team creates a kill window.
- Which enemy cooldowns require an immediate retreat or defensive response.
Use voice communication
Voice communication is not mandatory, but it makes high-rated 3v3 substantially easier. Call targets, crowd control, interrupts, defensive cooldowns, enemy trinkets and swaps with short, specific announcements.
Calls should identify the action and the target. “Kick healer,” “swap rogue,” “wall now” and “stun after trap” are more useful than long explanations during combat.
How to Climb from Unrated to 2,300
Learn your win condition
Every composition wins through a repeatable pattern. Some teams rely on short burst windows, others win through sustained pressure, crowd-control chains, mana advantage or repeated target swaps. Identify the pattern before entering serious rating games.
Your team should be able to answer three questions:
- Which enemy is the initial target?
- What event creates the first kill opportunity?
- What do you do when the first offensive cycle fails?
Teams that only know how to execute one burst attempt often stall before Elite. Stronger teams can reset, preserve cooldowns and create a second or third win condition.
Track enemy cooldowns and trinkets
At higher ratings, many games are decided by cooldown trading rather than raw damage. Track major immunities, defensive cooldowns, mobility tools, interrupt abilities and crowd-control trinkets.
Do not spend your strongest offensive cooldowns into a target with every defensive ability available unless the trade creates a meaningful advantage. Likewise, do not use all of your defensive tools to survive a minor attack if the enemy’s real kill window is still available.
Review losses objectively
After a loss, identify the first decisive mistake rather than focusing only on the final kill. Common causes include an unnecessary trinket, missed interrupt, poor positioning, overlapping defensives, an avoidable crowd-control chain or a target swap that was not communicated.
Reviewing replays or combat data is most useful when you examine repeated problems. Fixing one recurring mistake is usually more valuable than changing talents after every defeat.
Stop playing when communication breaks down
Rating pushes become inefficient when players are frustrated, tired or arguing over blame. Take a break after repeated losses and return with a specific adjustment. Continuing to queue without changing the cause of the losses usually converts a temporary problem into a large rating setback.
How to Earn the 50 Elite Wins Efficiently
The 50-win portion begins after your team reaches 2,300. Treat this phase differently from the climb. The goal is no longer simply to gain rating; it is to preserve Elite status while steadily adding qualifying wins.
- Reach 2,300 with a compatible team.
- Confirm that the Gladiator achievement is tracking correctly.
- Play during periods when your regular teammates are focused and available.
- Stop early when the team is losing communication or making repeated errors.
- Record progress after each session rather than relying on memory.
- Leave enough time before the season deadline to recover from rating losses.
Do not deliberately tank rating to find easier opponents. The qualifying wins require Elite rating, and intentional rating manipulation can also damage your team’s matchmaking position and make the final push harder.
Gladiator Rewards in Midnight Season 2
| Achievement or rank | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Duelist | Reach the Duelist rating range | Season 2 Gladiator’s Prestigious Cloak |
| Elite | Reach 2,300 rating | Season 2 Gladiator’s Tabard |
| Gladiator | Win 50 rated 3v3 games at 2,300 rating | Gladiator title and Prized Gladiator’s Fel Bat |
| Prized Gladiator | Finish in the top 0.1% of the 3v3 ladder and meet the season’s win requirement | Prized Gladiator title |
The seasonal PvP reward track also includes the Midnight Season 2 Elite armor appearance, weapon appearances, the Jackpot weapon illusion and other rating-based rewards. These rewards are separate from the Gladiator mount and title, so reaching Elite does not automatically complete the Gladiator achievement.
Gladiator and Prized Gladiator Are Different Rewards
Gladiator is earned by reaching Elite and winning 50 games at that rating. Prized Gladiator is the end-of-season title for the highest-ranked players in 3v3. It requires finishing in the top 0.1% of the ladder and meeting the additional seasonal win condition.
Most players pursuing the mount should focus on the Gladiator achievement rather than the Prized Gladiator cutoff. The top 0.1% position changes throughout the season and depends on the final ladder population and rating distribution.
Common Mistakes That Prevent Gladiator
- Playing the wrong bracket: 2v2, Solo Shuffle and Battleground Blitz do not count toward Gladiator.
- Confusing Elite with Gladiator: 2,300 rating unlocks Elite, but 50 qualifying 3v3 wins are still required.
- Counting early wins: Wins earned before reaching Elite do not replace the 50 wins at the required rating.
- Changing partners constantly: A stable team develops coordinated defensive and offensive habits.
- Overlapping defensives: Using multiple major cooldowns at once often leaves the team vulnerable to the next attack.
- Ignoring positioning: Losing line of sight or standing in crowd-control range can decide games before damage becomes relevant.
- Saving every cooldown: Defensive abilities have value only when used before the kill window becomes unavoidable.
- Leaving the push too late: A rating setback near the season deadline can make the 50-win requirement impossible to finish.
