Honor and Conquest are the two main PvP currencies for gearing in WoW Midnight Season 2. Honor provides the entry-level Venomous Aspirant gearing path, while Conquest is used for higher-end Venomous Gladiator equipment. Honor has a 15,000-point character cap, while Conquest uses a cumulative seasonal cap that began at 1,600 and increases by 800 with each weekly reset.
If you only need a specific amount of spendable Honor, use the WoW Honor Points Boost. If the goal is to catch up the character's available seasonal Conquest allowance, use the WoW Conquest Points Boost.

Honor, Conquest, Bloody Tokens and Marks of Honor are separate resources. Honor cannot be converted into Conquest, and Marks of Honor are not a substitute for either current gearing currency.
Midnight Season 2 PvP Start Date
Midnight Season 2 entered its pre-season state during the week of August 11, 2026. Rated PvP Season 2 began on August 18 in North America and August 19 in Europe.
The pre-season week also introduced Training Grounds: Arenas. These game-controlled practice matches are useful for learning positioning, defensive timing and basic Arena interactions, but they should be treated as practice content rather than the core route for completing your seasonal Conquest allowance.
How the 15,000 Honor Cap Works
A character can hold a maximum of 15,000 Honor at one time.
This is a currency-storage cap rather than a weekly earning limit. You can continue earning Honor throughout the week, but additional currency cannot be stored while the character is already sitting at the maximum.
What Should You Do Before Reaching the Honor Cap?
- Buy missing Venomous Aspirant pieces.
- Complete the two-PvP-trinket setup if it is still missing.
- Replace weak leveling or previous-season equipment.
- Purchase required Honor-level PvP crafting reagents.
- Spend enough currency before another long PvP session to avoid reaching the cap.
Venomous Aspirant equipment provides the normal Season 2 starter PvP gearing path and scales to item level 331 in PvP.

Fastest Ways to Farm Honor in Midnight Season 2
There is no single activity that is always the best Honor-per-hour option. Queue times, first-win bonuses, region, role and match results change the effective farming speed.
Random Battlegrounds
Random Battlegrounds are one of the most dependable ways to combine Honor farming with practical PvP experience.
They are especially useful for:
- fresh level-90 characters;
- players still completing Honor gear;
- learning battleground objectives;
- testing talents and keybinds before rated PvP;
- earning PvP currency without risking rating.
Play for objectives rather than scoreboard damage. Winning the battleground normally provides more useful progression than extending fights away from the actual objective.
Epic Battlegrounds
Epic Battlegrounds can be useful when their queue times and active bonuses make them efficient. Match duration is usually longer, however, so their real Honor-per-hour value can vary substantially.
They are better treated as another available route rather than automatically the fastest method.
Arena Skirmishes
Arena Skirmishes provide short PvP matches without rated progression. They can be useful for players who prefer small-team combat and want to practice Arena fundamentals while earning normal eligible rewards.
The efficiency depends heavily on queue speed and match duration.
Rated PvP
Once your basic Honor setup is ready, moving into the rated mode you actually intend to play is usually more efficient than continuing to farm unrelated content indefinitely.
Rated activities can let the same session contribute toward:
- Honor;
- Conquest;
- rating;
- seasonal achievements;
- Vicious reward progress;
- other mode-specific goals.
World PvP and War Mode
War Mode and outdoor PvP can provide Honor alongside their own separate rewards and Bloody Token progression.
The efficiency is less predictable because it depends on active objectives, faction participation and regional activity. Use War Mode when you also want its specific rewards rather than assuming it is automatically the fastest Honor farm.
Training Grounds
Training Grounds are primarily learning tools. Midnight includes battleground Training Grounds against game-controlled opponents, while Season 2 pre-season added Arena Training Grounds.
Use them to learn a specialization, practice objectives or configure your interface. Once the mechanics are comfortable, live Battlegrounds and rated modes provide the more relevant progression environment.
How the Midnight Season 2 Conquest Cap Works
Conquest purchases Venomous Gladiator equipment, which scales to item level 344 in PvP.
Season 2 began with a cumulative Conquest cap of 1,600. The cap then increases by 800 after each weekly reset.

As of September 9, 2026, Season 2 is in Week 4 and the cumulative schedule reaches 4,000 Conquest. Always check the currency interface on the character because Blizzard can adjust seasonal limits or catch-up rules.
A character who starts later does not need to have played every previous week. The cumulative structure allows the character to work toward the current available seasonal total.
If your character is behind the available allowance and the objective is purely currency, use the WoW Conquest Points Boost.
2,500 Conquest Weapon Token Milestone
One of the most important Season 2 currency milestones is Venomous Weapons of Conquest.
After earning 2,500 total Conquest on the character during Midnight Season 2, you receive:
- 2 Venomous Gladiator's Weapon Tokens.
The achievement tracks Conquest earned. Spending currency before reaching 2,500 does not erase the achievement progress.
This is important when deciding whether to buy a weapon early. In many cases, spending a large part of the limited Conquest allowance on a temporary weapon shortly before receiving weapon tokens is inefficient.
Fastest Ways to Farm Conquest
The best Conquest activity is usually the rated mode you can win consistently and intend to progress in long term.
Rated 2v2 Arena
2v2 is straightforward to organize and produces frequent short matches. It is useful for players who already have a partner and want to combine Conquest farming with Arena rating practice.
Before queueing:
- use current PvP equipment;
- prepare a basic target strategy;
- track enemy trinkets and defensives;
- understand the win condition of your composition.
Rated 3v3 Arena
3v3 provides the standard coordinated Arena environment and is also the bracket used for the seasonal Gladiator achievement.
Use 3v3 when competitive Arena progression is already part of your goal rather than farming currency in a completely separate mode.
Solo Shuffle
Solo Shuffle is one of the most accessible rated options for players without a permanent Arena team.
It combines Conquest progression with specialization-specific rating and the normal Season 2 PvP reward track.

Rated Battleground Blitz
Battleground Blitz is the main rated objective-based option for players who prefer battleground maps over Arena.

Traditional Rated Battlegrounds remain an organized group option. They require more coordination and roster preparation than Blitz but can be appropriate for players specifically interested in RBG progression.

These objectives are different. A currency farm ends when the selected amount is earned, while a gear service is based on specific equipment and an Honor Level service targets permanent account-wide progression.
What Should You Buy With Honor First?
A fresh character should normally prioritize:
- two compatible PvP trinkets;
- major outdated slots;
- a current PvP weapon if necessary;
- remaining Venomous Aspirant armor and accessories;
- planned Honor-level crafted PvP pieces.
Avoid spending large amounts on optional cosmetics while the character is still missing important combat pieces.
What Should You Buy With Conquest First?
Conquest is limited during the early season, so every purchase should fit the final gearing plan.
Before spending, consider:
- your specialization's secondary-stat priorities;
- which slots will become tier pieces;
- which pieces you intend to craft;
- the 2,500-Conquest weapon-token milestone;
- which current Honor slots provide the weakest competitive value.
Do not automatically buy the most expensive item. The best first purchase is the one that provides the largest lasting improvement without creating a slot conflict later.

- Check Honor before queueing. Spend currency if you are close to 15,000.
- Check the current Conquest allowance. Use the character's currency interface after the weekly reset.
- Complete useful weekly or seasonal PvP objectives.
- Choose the rated mode you actually want to progress in.
- Earn the remaining available Conquest.
- Spend Conquest according to the final gearing plan.
- Continue Honor farming only where additional Honor still has a useful purpose.
- Use War Mode separately when you need Bloody Token rewards.
Common Honor and Conquest Farming Mistakes
- Sitting at 15,000 Honor: additional currency cannot be stored at the cap.
- Confusing Honor with Honor Level: spendable currency and permanent account-wide progression are different.
- Confusing Honor with Conquest: one currency cannot replace the other.
- Using an outdated Season 2 start date: rated PvP Season 2 began August 18/19.
- Ignoring the cumulative Conquest allowance: always check how much the character can still earn.
- Buying an unnecessary weapon before 2,500 earned Conquest: two weapon tokens are available at that milestone.
- Buying gear without planning tier and crafted slots: this can waste limited Conquest.
- Farming only one mode because a guide calls it “fastest”: queue conditions and win rate change effective currency per hour.
- Using Training Grounds as the main currency plan: they are primarily intended for learning and practice.
