Currency of the Argent Tournament for Wrath of the Lich King Classic

Similar to many reputation rewards in World of Warcraft, earning reputation allows you to buy rewards from faction vendors. These vendors accept gold for some items, but primarily demand Argent Tournament currency, Champion's Seal. Once you reach the rank of Champion and have earned Champion's Seal, you can choose your own rewards.

A secondary currency, Champion's Writ, is required to buy reputation tokens, if needed.

Master the Jousting Abilities:

Jousting is a captivating mini-game within the Argent Tournament that demands precision and strategy. Here are the abilities you'll wield during the fierce battles:

• Thrust - Execute a devastating melee attack dealing 3250 damage. This potent ability has its cooldown, so use it wisely!
• Shield-Breaker - Launch an attack from 5 to 30 yards, dealing 2000 damage and removing one stack of defense from your opponent. Strip away their defenses strategically!
• Charge - Close the gap between you and your foe with a powerful 5 to 25-yard attack dealing 8500 damage and removing one stack of Defense.
• Defend - Shield yourself by reducing incoming damage by 30%. Stack this ability up to three times to bolster your defenses!
• Refresh Mount - Heal your trusty steed, but keep in mind this ability can only be used out of combat.
• Duel - Ready to prove your supremacy? Challenge another player to an epic duel in the jousting arena!

Equip Your Lance and Mount Your Steed:

To participate in jousting, arm yourself with an Argent Lance, Horde Lance, or Alliance Lance. If you don't have one in your bag, fret not! You can easily grab a lance from the weapon rack or receive one from your quest giver if you're just starting out.

Now, mount your noble steed! Knightly mounts can be found outside your faction's pavilion or within the stables. As you rise in rank, you'll gain access to an array of remarkable mounts. At the beginning, you'll need to use your racial mount outside your faction's pavilion. If you can mount it, you can use it in the joust!

Master the Art of Jousting:

Before challenging an opponent, always apply three stacks of defense to strengthen your resilience. Use Shield-Breaker from a distance to strip your rival's charges, gaining an edge in the battle. Maintain your own stacks with Defend to withstand incoming blows. When your opponent has one or fewer stacks, seize the opportunity and close in with Charge, delivering the final blow with a well-timed Thrust.

Every faction at the Argent Tournament has a vendor who sells items unique to that faction. Vendors accept Champion's Seals for most items. Reputation tokens can be purchased with Champion's Writ.

Each city vendor becomes available once you achieve champion status in that city. All city vendors sell the flying mount, Argent Hippogryph, along with two faction-specific mounts, a companion pet, a tabard, a banner, reputation tokens, and a selection of weapons and armor.
