Midnight Season 1 has not ended yet, but its final deadline has not been announced. Patch 12.1, titled Curse of Ula’tek, is currently in development on the Public Test Realm, and Midnight Season 2 is scheduled to begin one week after the content update launches. Blizzard has not confirmed the live release date for Patch 12.1 or the exact time at which Season 1 rewards will stop being obtainable.
That means Season 1 players should finish limited achievements, mounts, titles and Delve rewards before the Season 2 transition rather than waiting for a final-week announcement. Gear, currencies and most collection progress should remain useful, but several seasonal rewards are tied directly to the end of Midnight Season 1 or the start of the Season 2 Delve season.
Midnight Season 1 End Checklist
| Reward or goal | What to do before Season 1 ends | Availability after the season |
|---|---|---|
| Mythic+ seasonal mounts | Reach the required Midnight Season 1 Mythic+ rating | Seasonal availability is expected to end with Season 1 |
| Keystone Myth and Umbral Champion | Reach 3,400 rating or finish in the regional top 1% | Seasonal achievements require Season 1 results |
| Season 1 PvP rewards | Reach the desired rating, win threshold or ladder position | Seasonal titles and Gladiator rewards are tied to Season 1 |
| Nullaeus Delve rewards | Defeat Nullaeus and complete the higher-difficulty achievements | Season 1 Nemesis rewards are intended to be earned before Season 2 |
| Arcanovoid Construct | Solo Nullaeus on the required highest difficulty | Seasonal reward; do not assume it will remain obtainable |
| Season 1 raid achievements | Complete Ahead of the Curve, Cutting Edge and related achievements if available | Verify the final deadline when Blizzard publishes the Season 2 launch schedule |
| Season 1 tier and raid appearances | Finish missing appearances and complete eligible Great Vault or Catalyst goals | Gear may remain obtainable through legacy systems, but exact post-season access varies |
When Does Midnight Season 1 End?
Blizzard has not announced an exact Season 1 end date as of July 17, 2026. The current official Season 2 information states that the new season begins one week after Patch 12.1 goes live. Since the Patch 12.1 release date itself has not been confirmed, there is no reliable final calendar date for Season 1.
Do not treat unofficial estimates as a deadline. The safest assumption is that the final Season 1 cutoff will be connected to the start of Midnight Season 2, although Blizzard may provide a separate cutoff time for rating calculations, seasonal achievements or reward distribution.
Patch 12.1 is not live yet. The Season 2 raid, dungeon rotation, PvP season and new Delve season are being tested on the PTR. Until Blizzard publishes the live schedule, players should complete seasonal goals as soon as possible instead of planning around an estimated launch week.

Which Midnight Season 1 Rewards Are Time-Limited?
The most important rewards to target are those attached to a seasonal achievement or a Season 1-only activity. These include Mythic+ mounts and titles, PvP seasonal rewards, the Season 1 Delve Nemesis rewards and high-end raid achievements.
Mythic+ Mounts and Seasonal Achievements
Midnight Season 1 Mythic+ includes seasonal rating achievements and mount rewards. The main rating milestones are:
- 2,000 Mythic+ rating: Midnight Keystone Master: Season One and the Calamitous Carrion mount.
- 3,000 Mythic+ rating: Midnight Keystone Legend: Season One and the Convalescent Carrion mount.
- 3,400 Mythic+ rating: Midnight Keystone Myth: Season One.
- Regional top 1%: Umbral Champion: Midnight Season One, which rewards the Umbral Ashes mount.
These achievements are based on Midnight Season 1 performance. A character that reaches the rating threshold after the Season 2 rotation begins should not be expected to receive the Season 1 reward.
The 2,000 rating milestone is the practical target for players who want the primary Season 1 Mythic+ mount. Players already near 3,000 should continue toward Keystone Legend, while high-rated groups should treat 3,400 rating and the regional top 1% as separate goals rather than assuming that one achievement automatically grants the other.
What to Finish in Mythic+ First
- Check your current Midnight Season 1 rating in the Mythic+ interface.
- Identify the dungeons where your rating is lowest.
- Complete both Tyrannical and Fortified versions where necessary to raise the overall score.
- Prioritize timed completions when pursuing a rating threshold.
- Leave enough time for failed keys, group formation and rating updates before the season closes.
Season 2 introduces a different Mythic+ rotation. The new rotation includes Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, King’s Rest, Ruby Life Pools and Temple of Sethraliss. Season 1 dungeons will no longer be the active seasonal route once Season 2 begins.
Midnight Season 1 PvP Rewards to Claim
Rated PvP rewards are tied to Season 1 rating, wins and end-of-season ladder placement. Players should complete their rating goals before the Season 1 cutoff rather than relying on post-season reward distribution.
Season 1 PvP Milestones
| Goal | Requirement | Reward or result |
|---|---|---|
| Combatant | 1,000 rating | Combatant title |
| Challenger | 1,400 rating | Challenger title |
| Rival | 1,800 rating | Rival title |
| Duelist | 2,100 rating | Duelist title and Gladiator’s Prestigious Cloak |
| Elite | 2,400 rating | Elite title and Gladiator’s Tabard |
| Gladiator | 2,400 rating with the required 3v3 wins | Galactic Gladiator’s Goredrake after 50 wins |
The official Season 1 PvP reward list also includes rewards for Solo Shuffle and Rated Battleground Blitz. The Legend achievement requires 100 Solo Shuffle round wins at Elite rank. The Strategist achievement requires 25 Rated Battleground Blitz wins at Elite rank.
Players competing for the top 0.1% ladder rewards must also meet the relevant win requirements. These include Galactic Legend for Solo Shuffle, Galactic Gladiator for 3v3, and the faction-specific Galactic Warlord or Galactic Marshall titles for Rated Battleground Blitz.
PvP Rewards That Are Not Necessarily Season-Ending
Not every Season 1 PvP cosmetic is equally urgent. The Nightfall Legend’s Pennant and Nightfall Strategist’s Pennant are associated with achievement paths that remain obtainable throughout Midnight according to the current reward information. Seasonal Gladiator titles, seasonal mounts, Elite appearances and ladder placements should receive priority because they are directly tied to Season 1.
Season 1 Delve Rewards: Nullaeus and the Arcanovoid Construct
The Midnight Season 1 Delve Nemesis is Nullaeus, encountered in the Torment’s Rise Delve in the Voidstorm. Three Season 1 Delve achievements form the most important end-of-season checklist:
- My Shady Nemesis: Defeat Nullaeus in his lair.
- Lighting the Dark: Defeat Nullaeus on the required higher difficulty to earn the title the Ominous.
- Let Me Solo Him: Defeat Nullaeus on the required higher difficulty without another player in the party to earn the Arcanovoid Construct mount.
The Arcanovoid Construct is the most time-sensitive Season 1 Delve reward. Blizzard’s official reward information states that the solo Nullaeus achievement must be completed before the next Delve season begins. Season 2 introduces the Venomfall Deeps Nemesis Delve and a new Nemesis boss, so players should not assume that Nullaeus or his achievements will remain available indefinitely.
How to Prepare for the Nullaeus Attempt
- Open the Adventure Guide and check your Delve Journey progress.
- Complete the required Season 1 Delve content and unlock access to Nullaeus.
- Practice the encounter with a group before attempting the solo achievement.
- Use the Delve companion, curios and defensive tools appropriate to your specialization.
- Attempt the solo kill early enough to allow for multiple runs.
The solo achievement is not a guaranteed mount drop. The mount is the achievement reward for completing the specified solo objective. Defeating Nullaeus with a group can satisfy the boss and title achievements, but it does not replace the solo requirement for the Arcanovoid Construct.
Season 1 Raid Achievements and Raid Loot
Players working toward raid achievements should finish them before the Season 2 transition. This includes Ahead of the Curve, Cutting Edge and any raid-specific Feats of Strength associated with Midnight Season 1.
The exact availability window for Season 1 raid achievements has not yet been published for the live Season 2 launch. In previous seasons, achievement deadlines have been tied closely to the arrival of the next raid tier, but players should wait for Blizzard’s final announcement before treating an estimated date as official.
Season 1 raid appearances, tier pieces and weapons may continue to have collection value after Season 2 begins. However, the most reliable way to finish a missing appearance is to use the current Season 1 raid, the Great Vault and the Catalyst while those systems are still aligned with Season 1 rewards.
Raid Preparation Checklist
- Complete any missing raid bosses needed for Ahead of the Curve or Cutting Edge.
- Use remaining raid lockouts on bosses that drop missing tier or weapon appearances.
- Check the Great Vault before each weekly reset.
- Spend available Catalyst charges on missing tier slots when conversion is appropriate.
- Do not destroy Season 1 gear before checking whether it completes an appearance or transmog set.
What Happens to Season 1 Gear and Currencies?
Season 1 gear will not normally disappear when Season 2 starts. Characters can continue using existing equipment, and many Season 1 items will remain useful for leveling alternate characters, collecting appearances or entering the new season.
However, Season 2 introduces new raid gear, a new Mythic+ rotation, new tier sets and updated endgame progression. Season 1 gear should therefore be treated as preparation rather than a reason to delay Season 2 content indefinitely.
Before the transition, spend or organize currencies that are clearly tied to Season 1 progression, but do not convert every currency automatically. Verify the purpose of each item first. Crests, upgrade currencies, Catalyst charges, Delve-related resources and PvP currencies do not all follow the same rules, and the final conversion or expiration behavior may be adjusted before Patch 12.1 launches.
Rewards That Should Remain Available
Not every Season 1 reward is expected to become unobtainable. Ordinary dungeon and raid appearances, many open-world collectibles, non-seasonal reputation rewards and standard leveling gear generally remain accessible unless Blizzard specifically removes them.
The following goals are usually lower priority when time is limited:
- Ordinary Season 1 dungeon drops that are not part of a seasonal achievement.
- Raid appearances that can still be collected through legacy or unsquished content systems.
- Non-seasonal toys, pets and reputation rewards.
- Upgrade materials that remain relevant to existing gear.
- Cosmetic items not explicitly linked to Midnight Season 1.
Use the in-game achievement panel and item tooltips to distinguish a seasonal reward from a normal drop. A mount or title connected to “Midnight Season One” is much more likely to have a firm seasonal deadline than an item that merely comes from a Season 1 raid or dungeon.
A Practical Final-Week Priority Order
Because Blizzard has not announced the final date, a flexible priority order is safer than waiting for a specific countdown.
- Finish the Arcanovoid Construct requirement. The solo Nullaeus achievement is the most specialized Season 1 Delve goal and may require repeated attempts.
- Secure your Mythic+ mount. Reach 2,000 rating first, then continue to 3,000 or 3,400 if those goals are realistic for your group.
- Complete your PvP rating and win targets. Rating alone may not satisfy Gladiator, Solo Shuffle or ladder requirements.
- Finish raid achievements. Treat Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge as urgent once the final Season 2 schedule is published.
- Use weekly rewards. Complete Great Vault activities and check the Vault before the final reset.
- Collect missing appearances. Target tier, weapons and unique raid cosmetics while groups and lockouts are still active.
What Midnight Season 2 Adds
Season 2 begins one week after Patch 12.1 launches. Its major additions include the eight-boss Venomous Abyss raid, the three-boss Altar of Fangs dungeon, a new Mythic+ rotation, a new PvP season and new Delve content.
The Season 2 Mythic+ rotation contains:
- Altar of Fangs
- Murder Row
- Den of Nalorakk
- The Blinding Vale
- Voidscar Arena
- King’s Rest
- Ruby Life Pools
- Temple of Sethraliss
Season 2 also adds the Coiled Isle, new public activities, the Vaults of Atal’Utek, Curse Surges, Cursed Fishing, the Altar of Corrosion, new Delves and the Venomfall Deeps Nemesis Delve. These systems are not replacements for unfinished Season 1 achievements, so complete the seasonal rewards first if your goal is mounts, titles or Feats of Strength.
Season 1 Deadline: What to Watch For
Watch for Blizzard’s final announcement containing the Patch 12.1 launch date, the Season 2 start date, regional reset timing and any separate reward deadlines. The current PTR information confirms the order of events—Patch 12.1 first, followed by Season 2 one week later—but it does not provide a final live date.
Until that announcement arrives, the safest approach is to act as though the current week could be your last serious opportunity for Season 1 progression. Secure the rewards that are explicitly seasonal, avoid relying on unofficial dates, and keep ordinary gear and collection goals behind achievements, mounts and titles in your priority list.
