WoW Forever Class Weapon Quest Guide: Best Rewards, Requirements and How to Get Them

WoW Forever Class Weapon Quest Guide: Best Rewards, Requirements and How to Get Them

Some of the most satisfying weapon upgrades in WoW Forever come from class quests rather than random dungeon drops. A Paladin can forge Verigan's Fist or Wolfsbane, a Warrior can earn a Whirlwind weapon, and a Shaman can complete a new elemental storyline for a weapon tailored to their specialization. Warlocks, Mages and Rogues also have worthwhile equipment quests, but not every reward justifies a long detour. The important question is whether the weapon will improve your character enough to repay the travel, dungeon runs and difficult fights. This guide covers the actual quest routes, requirements and competing weapons. As of October 30, 2026, WoW Forever is still awaiting its November 4 launch: the beta ended on October 23 with a level-30 cap, so final launch tuning and higher-level rewards remain unconfirmed.

Short answer: Verigan's Fist and Wolfsbane are strong early Paladin targets, while Whirlwind Axe is an excellent level-30 Warrior upgrade if you can defeat Cyclonian with help. Shaman's Tempest weapons offer specialized rewards, and Warlock, Mage and Rogue quests are worth considering according to your current gear. Collect prerequisites before entering dungeons, compare every reward with realistic alternatives, and remember that the latest weapon stats come from pre-launch data.

Which WoW Forever Class Weapons Are Worth Pursuing?

The best class quest weapon is not necessarily the one with the highest item level. Getting a powerful two-hander at level 20 can transform the next ten levels, whereas earning a similar weapon after several days of leveling may provide only a brief upgrade. The following quests offer the clearest weapon-progression goals documented in the Forever beta and current quest records.

Class weapon quest rewards, starting requirements and practical value
ClassWeapon rewardQuest levelWhy it mattersMain obstacle
Alliance PaladinVerigan's Fist20Strong early two-handed mace with a special Holy damage effect in beta dataMaterials involving Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep and separate errands
Horde PaladinWolfsbane18 for introductory quests; around 20 for weapon progressionPowerful two-handed sword with a Worgen-focused damage effectSeveral material stages and the Old Fire-Eye encounter
WarriorWhirlwind Axe, Sword or Warhammer30A major two-handed damage upgrade when obtained earlyMaterial collection and a level-40 elite
ShamanLightning's Grasp, Tidebringer's Claw or Rage of the Storm30, after totem progressionSeparate options for Elemental, Restoration and EnhancementRazorfen Kraul, elemental materials and an elite event
WarlockStaff or Orb of Soran'ruk20Choice between a two-handed caster weapon and an off-handFragments from two dungeons
MageIcefury, Ragefire or Nether Force Wand30School-specific spell damage for Frost, Fire or ArcaneScarlet Monastery Library and multiple travel stages
RogueRuby-Adorned BladeQuest database: 25; beta mail trigger reported around 30A one-handed sword from a distinctive solo infiltration missionPrerequisite covert quests and Scarlet Monastery infiltration

These are class quest rewards, not ordinary boss drops. Completing the right dungeon without accepting its related class quest may leave you with no progress toward the weapon. Where the final quest offers several choices, you receive one selected reward rather than the entire collection.

There is also an important distinction between returning Classic quests and new Forever content. Warrior's Whirlwind chain and Mage's Wand storyline are familiar, but the new Horde Paladin weapon story and Shaman's Tempest quest introduce different objectives. Forever also changes itemization and class balance, so a ranking copied from original Classic may give the wrong answer.

Paladin Weapon Quests: Verigan's Fist and Wolfsbane

For a Paladin leveling with a two-handed weapon, this is one of the earliest opportunities to acquire a memorable upgrade through a dedicated class storyline. The faction determines which weapon you can obtain. Alliance characters pursue a mace through Jordan Stilwell, while Horde Paladins follow a separate story involving the Moonsilver Blade and a dangerous Worgen.

Alliance: How to Get Verigan's Fist

The Test of Righteousness is available around level 20 after the relevant Paladin class progression. The weapon is crafted from several components scattered across the world. You do not have to defeat one specific final dungeon boss to obtain it, but you do need access to hostile areas and dungeon objectives that can be difficult at the minimum quest level.

  1. Start the Paladin class chain. Follow the relevant class-trainer and Tome of Valor progression until the Test of Righteousness leads you to Jordan Stilwell near Ironforge. Obtain the instructions for the weapon components.
  2. Get Whitestone Oak Lumber. Enter The Deadmines and collect the required lumber from Goblin Woodcarvers. Make sure the component objective is active before your group starts clearing the relevant area.
  3. Recover Jordan's Smithing Hammer. Travel to Shadowfang Keep in Silverpine Forest. The hammer is associated with the stable and courtyard section of the instance, so plan your route around that objective rather than a full clear purely for the final boss.
  4. Retrieve the refined ore. Visit Bailor Stonehand in Loch Modan and follow his errand involving the ore shipment near Mo'grosh Stronghold. Complete the required hand-ins to receive Jordan's Refined Ore Shipment.
  5. Secure the Purified Kor Gem. Follow the associated quest lead to the Blackfathom Deeps area at Zoram Strand. This is a specific material quest; do not assume an unrelated Blackfathom boss drop will replace it.
  6. Return to Jordan Stilwell. Once all required components are ready, complete the final hand-in and receive Verigan's Fist.

Why the weapon is strong: Verigan's Fist offers a substantial two-handed damage profile for this stage of leveling. Forever's late-beta item data also gave it a Holy Forgefire chance-on-hit effect, with additional effectiveness against Fire and Earth Elementals. This is a recorded beta property, not a guarantee that every launch tooltip will remain identical.

Consider the Smite's Mighty Hammer from The Deadmines as a realistic alternative. The two weapons have different damage profiles, and Verigan's Fist also has its class-specific effect. If you already obtained Smite's hammer, the quest is still worth evaluating, but you should compare your actual equipped damage instead of assuming every Paladin must immediately replace a good existing weapon.

Horde: How to Get Wolfsbane

Horde Paladins follow an entirely different route. The introductory storyline begins at Bandarion Keep in Tirisfal Glades around level 18, while the weapon-making stages develop as the character advances. The key distinction is that the first forged sword, Moonsilver Blade, is not the final prize. It becomes essential for overcoming the encounter that leads to Wolfsbane.

  1. Begin Diplomatic Incident. Follow the quests connected to Bandarion Keep and the Silverpine Forest storyline until the weapon-related stages become available.
  2. Start A Moon-Kissed Blade. Continue the crafting storyline and obtain the weapon notes required for the special blade.
  3. Gather the components. The documented route includes Whitestone Oak Lumber from The Deadmines, an Enchanted Silver Ingot associated with Shadowfang Keep, and a Purified Kor Gem from its corresponding Blackfathom-area quest.
  4. Forge the Moonsilver Blade. Complete the Silverpine and crafting hand-ins until you receive the intermediate sword.
  5. Fight Old Fire-Eye. Travel to the relevant Silverpine encounter near the southern approach toward Gilneas. Beta walkthroughs indicate that striking the Worgen with the equipped Moonsilver Blade is part of overcoming its protective effect.
  6. Claim the final sword. Complete Old Fire-Eye and receive Wolfsbane.

Old Fire-Eye is the stage where an apparently straightforward crafting quest can turn into a difficult fight. At the earliest available level, bringing another player can make the encounter considerably safer. Check your sword weapon skill before approaching the target, and do not discard the Moonsilver Blade before finishing its required role in the fight.

Wolfsbane's beta tooltip included a Holystorm on-hit effect that dealt additional damage against Wolves and Worgen. That thematic bonus makes the sword particularly interesting in the areas where the quest takes place, although a special enemy-type bonus should not be mistaken for universally superior damage against every creature.

For either faction, the dungeon stages are easier to organize when you already have their quests prepared. The WoW Forever dungeon progression options cover the returning instances involved in these early class objectives, but a dungeon run and the final weapon hand-in remain separate tasks.

Warrior Whirlwind Weapon Quest: The Level-30 Power Spike

Warrior is the clearest example of why class quest timing matters. The Whirlwind chain opens around level 30, but its final opponent is significantly stronger than a level-30 character. Completing it early with help can give you a weapon that makes subsequent leveling feel dramatically smoother. Waiting until you can defeat everything comfortably reduces the difficulty, but it also reduces the number of levels during which the reward provides a major advantage.

The quest follows the Berserker Stance storyline and culminates in Whirlwind Weapon. Both factions can pursue it.

  1. Unlock Berserker Stance. Work through The Islander and The Affray, including the relevant Warrior class combat challenges.
  2. Meet Bath'rah the Windwatcher. Continue the chain to the Alterac Mountains, where the weapon's elemental requirements become clear.
  3. Collect the offerings. Prepare eight Liferoot and thirty Bloodscalp Tusks, then assemble an Essence of the Exile using the required elemental charms obtained from enemies in Arathi Highlands.
  4. Prepare for Cyclonian. The summoning leads to a level-40 elite opponent. A Warrior who has just reached 30 should plan for assistance rather than expecting a normal solo quest fight.
  5. Defeat Cyclonian and loot the Whirlwind Heart. Return the required quest item to Bath'rah.
  6. Choose your weapon. The final reward offers Whirlwind Axe, Whirlwind Sword or Whirlwind Warhammer.

Which Whirlwind weapon should you pick? Whirlwind Axe is the natural starting recommendation for an Arms Warrior who values heavy individual weapon hits. The Sword and Warhammer are not worthless alternatives, but their attack speeds and damage ranges differ. Compare them to the abilities, weapon type and combat style you are actually using. A faster weapon can feel smoother in ordinary swings, while a slower one may offer stronger individual weapon-damage hits.

The quest is especially attractive if you can borrow help for Cyclonian without spending hours waiting for a group. If assistance is unavailable, there is no need to grind the entire chain at level 30. You can continue leveling, improve your armor and return when the encounter is less punishing. The WoW Forever leveling progression covers level-range planning, while the quest itself remains a distinct class objective.

Shaman: The Tempest's Weapons and the Best Reward for Each Build

Shamans receive one of Forever's more interesting new weapon questlines. The Tempest's Weapons connects the class's elemental identity to a sequence involving Razorfen Kraul, corrupted totems and an elite encounter. Its greatest strength is that the final rewards serve different builds: a damage caster, a healer and a melee-focused Shaman do not have to compete for the same weapon type.

The chain begins around level 30 after the relevant totem progression, including the Air Totem storyline. Faction-specific starting NPCs and some intermediate quest wording can differ, so the in-game quest log determines your exact opening step.

  1. Finish the preceding totem quests. Check your class trainer and incomplete totem storyline if the new weapon quest does not appear.
  2. Complete Elemental Aid. Enter Razorfen Kraul and progress to Charlga Razorflank to obtain the relevant evidence of the elemental disturbance.
  3. Follow the corrupted-totem investigation. Subsequent stages include Storm, Earth, and Fire and related investigative steps. Gather the required Twisted Totems from the listed enemies in the appropriate zones, including areas of Dustwallow Marsh, Desolace, Swamp of Sorrows and Badlands.
  4. Prepare for Heed My Call. The quest leads to an elemental encounter in Thousand Needles. Its documented beta form involves enemies substantially stronger than an unassisted level-30 character.
  5. Recover the Eye of the Tempest. Complete the encounter and obtain the quest item required for the final hand-in.
  6. Return to Bath'rah the Windwatcher. Turn in the completed chain in Alterac Mountains and choose the weapon that supports your main specialization.

Blizzard's October 8 beta development notes improved this quest route: several Twisted Totem drop opportunities were increased, some relevant enemies respawn more quickly, and the Eye of the Tempest became available to multiple eligible players from the same encounter. That makes a coordinated group more practical than early beta reports suggested. The change does not remove the difficult combat or the travel between zones.

Shaman Tempest weapon rewards by specialization
WeaponBest fitRelevant late-beta propertiesPractical recommendation
Lightning's GraspElementalOne-handed fist weapon with spell damage and a Lightning Bolt critical bonusPrioritize if Lightning Bolt and spell damage are central to your leveling or dungeon rotation
Tidebringer's ClawRestorationOne-handed fist weapon emphasizing healing power and Healing Wave-related critical effectsBest suited to a Shaman who mainly heals group content rather than fighting with a two-hander
Rage of the StormEnhancementTwo-handed mace with Stamina, Intellect and a Stormstrike damage bonusAttractive for a melee Shaman whose build actively uses Stormstrike

Do not choose the most impressive-looking tooltip without considering your build. A healing weapon contributes little to an Enhancement Shaman trying to kill enemies faster, while a two-handed mace may force a Restoration player to give up a more useful healing setup. If you regularly switch roles, choose for the specialization that needs the larger upgrade or that you expect to play for the longest period.

The exact numerical bonuses were recorded in the beta and may be adjusted for launch. The beta quest records also list an additional reward: Elementalist's Guard for the Alliance version and Rune of the Storm for the Horde version. Confirm the additional reward and final weapon selection window in the launch client before completing the hand-in, because the quest does not simply give all three weapons to one character.

Warlock: Staff of Soran'ruk or Orb of Soran'ruk?

Warlocks can start The Orb of Soran'ruk around level 20, but its dungeon requirements are more demanding than the starting level suggests. This quest is easy to overlook because one possible reward is not a traditional weapon at all: it is an off-hand item. Whether the quest is worth doing depends heavily on your existing main-hand weapon and how easily you can arrange two separate dungeon trips.

  1. Find Doan Karhan. The quest giver is in The Barrens, near Camp Taurajo. Alliance Warlocks should take the hostile-territory journey into account.
  2. Collect three Soran'ruk Fragments. Defeat the appropriate Twilight's Hammer enemies inside Blackfathom Deeps. Make sure you have the active class quest before farming the required enemies.
  3. Collect one Large Soran'ruk Fragment. Enter Shadowfang Keep and defeat the relevant Shadowfang Darksoul enemies.
  4. Return to Doan Karhan. Choose between the Staff of Soran'ruk and the off-hand Orb of Soran'ruk.

The Staff of Soran'ruk is the simpler option when your existing two-handed weapon is poor and you want a complete caster upgrade. Its late-beta tooltip included Stamina and bonuses to Fire and Shadow spell damage. These properties are useful to Warlocks because both schools contribute to class damage, although their importance changes with the spells and talents in your current rotation.

The Orb of Soran'ruk is a different calculation. As an off-hand item, it needs to be judged alongside the one-handed weapon you already own. If you have a strong main-hand caster weapon, adding the orb may provide a better combined setup than replacing everything with a staff. Conversely, choosing an off-hand without a decent main-hand can leave you with a disappointing immediate upgrade.

There is no reason to enter Blackfathom Deeps twice simply because you forgot to take the Warlock quest on the first trip. If your group is already planning the instance for leveling or other rewards, collect the fragments during that run. The same principle applies to Shadowfang Keep, which also serves Paladin class weapon objectives.

Mage's Wand: Icefury, Ragefire or Nether Force

The Mage weapon quest begins around level 30 and ultimately rewards a wand aligned with one of the class's three spell schools. It is especially valuable to players who have committed to a particular leveling specialization. The catch is that the storyline requires several pieces of preparation, including a visit to the Scarlet Monastery Library. Reaching the required level does not mean that you can safely complete every stage alone.

  1. Take Journey to the Marsh. Follow your Mage trainer's instructions and travel to Tabetha in Dustwallow Marsh.
  2. Work on Items of Power and Hidden Secrets. Gather the required magical components and follow the investigation involving Magus Tirth at the Shimmering Flats.
  3. Complete Get the Scoop. Find the required contact near the raceway and progress through the strongbox-related objectives.
  4. Complete Rituals of Power. Enter Scarlet Monastery Library and collect the specific quest book. Do not leave the instance without the quest object merely because the main enemies have been defeated.
  5. Finish the remaining materials. The storyline also involves Witherbark enemies in Arathi Highlands and a Jade for the relevant component quest.
  6. Return to Tabetha. Finish Mage's Wand and choose one of the three rewards.
Mage class wand choices and their intended spell schools
WandSpell schoolBest use
Icefury WandFrostFrost-oriented leveling and combat where Frost spells provide most of your damage
Ragefire WandFireFire-focused damage rotations and players planning to continue with Fire talents
Nether Force WandArcaneArcane builds that benefit from additional damage in their primary school

Late-beta item records listed Intellect and a school-specific spell damage bonus on these wands. That makes the relevant spell school more important than basic wand attack damage. A wand that looks similar in ordinary ranged damage can provide a different result when its magic bonus contributes to your actual casts.

Choose with your next several levels in mind. A Frost Mage who intends to remain Frost will generally get more natural value from Icefury. If you plan an immediate specialization change, consider the destination build before selecting the final reward. The Scarlet Monastery guide can help you plan the Library visit.

Rogue: The Eye of Bhossca and Ruby-Adorned Blade

Rogue's weapon quest plays differently from the dungeon-material chains. The Eye of Bhossca revolves around covert messages, disguises, Stealth and infiltration. The final weapon, Ruby-Adorned Blade, is a one-handed sword. Getting it is as much a test of the class's utility toolkit as it is a traditional gear quest.

There is a level discrepancy worth understanding before you travel across the map. The Forever quest record lists a minimum level of 25, while beta walkthroughs describe the relevant message from C arriving around level 30. The preceding Rogue quest The Horn of Xelthos must also be completed. Treat 25 as a database requirement, not a guarantee that the entire quest sequence becomes available immediately at that level.

  1. Complete earlier Rogue covert quests. Make sure the prerequisite quest The Horn of Xelthos is finished.
  2. Check for the message from C. Follow the instructions to the dead drop in Pyrewood Village, Silverpine Forest.
  3. Prepare a Scarlet disguise. Beta walkthroughs place the relevant Scarlet Initiate Uniform around the monastery's exterior stable area.
  4. Enter the infiltration sequence. Use Stealth and the required disguise to access objectives that are not approached like a normal five-player dungeon clear.
  5. Secure the necessary information and key. Pick Pocket a Scarlet Scryer in the Graveyard for the Scryer's Key, retrieve the confidential message in the Library while disguised, then sit on both Graveyard benches to unlock the Reliquary Key before returning to the Library.
  6. Return the Eye of Bhossca. Retrieve the Eye from the Library reliquary, complete the required dead-drop hand-ins and follow the final message to collect Ruby-Adorned Blade.

Unlike a normal instance run, bringing a group to kill everything does not necessarily solve a stealth-specific objective. Watch enemy patrols, read the quest instructions and check whether you are supposed to remain disguised rather than openly fighting. The exact infiltration interactions should be checked again after launch because beta behavior and individual reset methods may change.

The Ruby-Adorned Blade's late-beta stats included Agility and Stamina, with a relatively deliberate attack speed for a one-handed sword. For a Rogue, that does not automatically make it superior to every dagger or sword available from dungeons. Your weapon specialization, attack abilities and current main-hand damage matter more than its status as a class quest reward.

Class Quest Weapons vs Dungeon Drops: What Actually Wins?

Quest rewards feel special because you worked for them, but the fastest path to better damage is sometimes a dungeon boss rather than a long class chain. The relevant comparison is between weapons you can realistically obtain at the same point in your leveling journey. A level-37 dungeon weapon may have better stats than a level-30 class reward, but that does not make it an option for a fresh level-30 character.

Practical weapon alternatives during early and mid-level progression
Class quest goalRealistic alternativeMain comparisonRecommended decision
Verigan's FistSmite's Mighty Hammer from The DeadminesTwo-handed damage, useful stats and Verigan's special effectPursue the class reward if the upgrade is substantial and the component runs fit your route
Whirlwind AxeCorpsemaker from Overlord Ramtusk in Razorfen KraulWhirlwind offers higher recorded weapon DPS; Corpsemaker requires a normal dungeon drop rather than the Cyclonian chainUse Corpsemaker if available, but consider an early Whirlwind upgrade when help is readily available
Whirlwind AxeRavager from Herod in Scarlet Monastery ArmoryRavager is a later-level option with different damage and a distinctive area-attack effectDo not delay leveling indefinitely for Whirlwind if you are already approaching stronger dungeon alternatives
Soran'ruk staffExisting one-handed caster weapon plus an off-handCombined spell bonuses and useful attributes across both slotsCompare the entire setup, not the staff against an off-hand alone
Mage's WandCurrent dungeon or quest wandMatching-school spell damage versus generic ranged damage and other caster bonusesFavor the class wand when its spell-school bonus benefits your main rotation
Ruby-Adorned BladeCurrent sword or dagger setupMain-hand damage, weapon speed, Agility and ability compatibilityTake the blade when it is a clear upgrade or you value the unique quest experience

Forever's pre-launch weapon records illustrate why timing matters. Corpsemaker is available from Razorfen Kraul at a lower required level than Ravager, while the Whirlwind quest opens at 30 but demands an unusually difficult final encounter. Ravager is associated with Scarlet Monastery Armory and requires a higher level. These different acquisition windows are more useful for route planning than declaring one weapon universally best.

There is another consideration: some weapons apply damage through effects rather than simple white-hit DPS. The Paladin weapons have specialized procs in their beta records, and Ravager has an area-attack effect with movement consequences in the Forever client. A tooltip's basic damage-per-second figure cannot explain the full performance of those weapons in every fight.

For characters comparing quest rewards with broader equipment progression, the WoW Forever gear and item progression covers other equipment objectives. A class quest is worth completing when the weapon meaningfully improves your build, not merely because it appears on a famous Classic checklist.

How to Complete Class Weapon Quests Without Wasting Dungeon Runs

The biggest time sink in these chains is often the journey between objectives, not the quest item itself. Many stages send you through instances that a normal leveling group may already want to run. If you prepare the correct quests before joining, you can turn a routine dungeon trip into meaningful class progression. If you arrive without prerequisites, even a perfect clear may leave the important objective unfinished.

  1. Check the starting condition first. Confirm your class, faction, level and preceding class quests. Paladin faction routes differ, Shaman requires prior totem progression, and Rogue may need both earlier covert missions and a message trigger.
  2. Collect the component quests before entering an instance. This is particularly important for Paladin materials and Warlock fragments. Identify the exact creatures, quest objects or bosses involved.
  3. Combine overlapping dungeon visits. Shadowfang Keep is relevant to Paladin and Warlock weapon objectives. Blackfathom Deeps is also useful to both classes, although their specific required materials differ. Scarlet Monastery Library serves the Mage chain and appears in the Rogue infiltration route for a different reason.
  4. Reserve support for genuinely difficult encounters. A normal low-level dungeon group and an elite encounter far above your level are different challenges. Warrior's Cyclonian and the Shaman elemental event deserve separate preparation.
  5. Decide on the reward before the final hand-in. Warriors, Shamans, Mages and Warlocks have meaningful choices. Read every available item tooltip before selecting one.
  6. Reevaluate if your equipment improves along the way. A lucky dungeon drop may make the original quest weapon less urgent. You can still finish a class storyline later without pretending it remains the fastest gearing route.

Players arranging help for specific objectives should distinguish a completed quest chain from a dungeon clear. The WoW Forever class quest progression options cover selected listed class objectives, but eligibility, prerequisites and the exact included stages depend on the chosen quest. That distinction matters especially before the November 4 launch.

What About Hunter, Priest and Druid Weapon Quests?

Not every class has a directly comparable level-20 or level-30 class weapon quest in the available Forever records. It would be misleading to invent an early reward for Hunter, Priest or Druid simply to make a symmetrical list. Their class progression includes important quests, but a class-specific ability, form or other equipment reward is not automatically a weapon quest.

Hunters may remember Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers, while Priests may remember Benediction and Anathema. These are famous high-level class weapon pursuits from original World of Warcraft, associated with endgame progression and demanding challenges. They are useful historical reference points, but they should not be presented as weapons already earned and tested in WoW Forever's level-30 beta.

The correct approach is to check their actual Forever availability after the relevant level-60 and raid content becomes accessible. The same caution applies to other high-level class-specific weapons appearing in client databases. A database record does not prove that its complete acquisition chain is enabled on launch day.

Common Mistakes That Can Ruin a Class Weapon Run

These quests are generally straightforward once their prerequisites are understood. Most failed attempts come from treating a class chain like a normal dungeon quest or choosing a reward before checking how it works with the current build.

  • Entering a dungeon without the active quest: A boss kill or material pickup may not count until the correct stage is accepted.
  • Confusing a starting level with a solo-completion level: Cyclonian is level 40 even though the Warrior weapon chain opens at 30.
  • Following the wrong Paladin faction route: Verigan's Fist and Wolfsbane come from different storylines and final hand-ins.
  • Discarding a required intermediate weapon: The Horde Paladin's Moonsilver Blade has a specific role before Wolfsbane is awarded.
  • Choosing for the wrong specialization: Shaman and Mage reward options support different roles and spell schools.
  • Ignoring weapon slots: The Soran'ruk orb needs a suitable one-handed main-hand weapon, while the staff occupies both weapon slots.
  • Assuming beta stats are permanent: Class balance and itemization were still being adjusted through the late-October development notes.
  • Calling every class reward best-in-slot: A strong leveling weapon is not automatically the best pre-raid or level-60 weapon.

If a quest is missing, start with your class trainer, completed prerequisite quests and the in-game quest log. If an expected drop does not appear, verify that you are killing the correct enemies and have the appropriate objective active. For new Forever stages, also check whether Blizzard has adjusted the quest since the beta version described by older walkthroughs.

WoW Forever Class Weapon Quest FAQ

These answers cover practical questions that are easy to miss when planning several class characters or deciding whether to pursue a weapon after gaining additional levels.

Can another class use my class quest weapon?
These weapon quest rewards are associated with their specific classes. They are not general dungeon loot that another class can simply obtain by joining your group. Check the item's class restriction and binding rules on the final tooltip.

Can I select every reward from a class weapon quest?
No. Questlines such as Whirlwind Weapon, The Tempest's Weapons, Mage's Wand and The Orb of Soran'ruk present alternative rewards. One completion does not grant the entire selection.

Do I need to finish the weapon quest immediately when it unlocks?
No. Waiting can make difficult stages much easier. However, early completion often gives the greatest leveling advantage because you can use the weapon for more levels before replacing it.

Will beta quest completion carry over into the November launch?
No. The completed beta testing period is separate from the new live progression. Plan to earn the weapon through the launch version of its questline on your live character.

Final Recommendations: Which Weapon Should You Chase First?

For an early Paladin, plan the faction-specific weapon quest while its reward can still influence a large portion of leveling. Warriors should seriously consider an early Whirlwind weapon when help with Cyclonian is available. Shamans should choose the Tempest reward that fits their main specialization, while Warlocks must compare a staff against a complete main-hand and off-hand setup. Mages gain the most from a wand aligned with their primary spell school, and Rogues should treat Ruby-Adorned Blade as both a possible upgrade and a distinctive class challenge.

Above all, prioritize weapons by when you can actually obtain them, how much stronger they make your character, and how much effort the route requires. Those decisions will matter more during the journey to 60 than any static list of famous class items. Check the final launch-client requirements and tooltips before committing to a long quest chain.
