All WoW Forever Profession Leveling Guides
WoW Forever has nine primary professions and three secondary professions. The primary professions are divided into crafting and gathering skills. Each guide below focuses on its own trainers, skill progression, materials, and useful unlocks.
Crafting Professions

How Professions Work in WoW Forever
Characters can learn two primary professions in any crafting or gathering combination. Cooking, Fishing, and First Aid are secondary professions and do not consume primary profession slots. The normal profession skill cap is 300, with progression through Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Artisan ranks.
| Profession Type | Available Skills | Character Limit |
|---|
| Crafting | Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring | 2 primary professions total |
| Gathering | Herbalism, Mining, Skinning |
| Secondary | Cooking, Fishing, First Aid | All 3 can be learned |
There is no single fastest leveling route for every profession. Crafting skills depend on available recipes and material costs. Gathering professions require appropriate resource locations, while secondary skills have their own progression methods. Use the dedicated 1–300 guide for the profession you want to level rather than applying one universal material list.
What's New for Professions in WoW Forever?
Professions are more closely connected to character progression in Forever. The expanded recipe pool introduces additional equipment, consumables, and profession utility across different skill levels. First Aid also gains a broader medical role, including Healing Potions and specialized treatments in the current beta profession data.
The new Camping system allows players to contribute profession-made objects to shared campsites. A Basic Campfire supports up to three special objects, with one contribution per player. These objects can provide useful effects, resources, or workspaces, while advanced Blueprints unlock additional profession functionality.
For campsite placement rules, profession buffs, cooldowns, and advanced stations, see our WoW Forever Camping Guide. Blizzard also explains the system in its official Camping and Professions overview.
New Recipes, Blueprints, and Farming Guides
Some Forever crafting materials and profession stations need more detailed instructions than a general 1–300 route. Our specialized guides cover particular recipes, resource sources, and crafting requirements:
Additional profession-related guides will be included here as new recipes, material sources, and advanced crafting requirements are verified.
Profession Materials and Gold Making
Gathering professions can provide materials while you level your character. Herbalism supplies Alchemy, Mining supports Blacksmithing and Engineering, and Skinning supplies Leatherworking. Tailoring and Enchanting also complement each other through crafted equipment and Disenchanting.
Whether selling raw materials or crafting finished goods is more profitable will depend on realm prices, recipe availability, and demand. See our WoW Forever Gold Farming Guide for additional farming routes and economy strategies.
Profession Boosts and Self-Play Material Kits
Players who want to focus on leveling, dungeons, or other character goals can explore WoW Forever Profession Boosts for available crafting, gathering, and secondary professions.
If you prefer to level a crafting profession yourself but need the materials, our WoW Forever Profession Kits offer a Self-Play option. Select the relevant profession and review the supported skill range, included materials, availability, and delivery details before ordering.
