Fused Vitality is a Bind-on-Pickup crafting reagent used for high-end profession equipment in World of Warcraft: Midnight. Most epic profession tools and accessories that use the reagent require 20 Fused Vitality per item, making it one of the main progression bottlenecks for serious crafters.
Fast answer: there are currently three main ways to get Fused Vitality. Buy it from Chel the Chip for 800 Unalloyed Abundance each, buy up to 3 per character per week from Depthdiver Tu'nakit for 750 Angler Pearls each, and complete eligible weekly profession quests for one Fused Vitality per quest.
If you earn all eight weekly Shards of Dundun and maximize the Abundance payout, they can produce up to 7,200 Unalloyed Abundance, enough for 9 Fused Vitality. With three from Abyss Anglers and two profession weeklies on a character with two eligible primary professions, a practical maximum is around 14 Fused Vitality per week.
All Ways to Get Fused Vitality
| Source | Cost / Requirement | Weekly potential |
|---|---|---|
| Chel the Chip | 800 Unalloyed Abundance each | Up to 9 from a normal week's 8 Shards if you earn the maximum Abundance |
| Depthdiver Tu'nakit | 750 Angler Pearls each | 3 per character |
| Profession weekly quests | Complete the relevant Midnight profession weekly | 1 per eligible profession quest |
Method 1: Buy Fused Vitality from Chel the Chip
Chel the Chip is the Abundance vendor. She appears by the currently active Abundant Harvest cave and sells Fused Vitality for 800 Unalloyed Abundance each.
Unalloyed Abundance comes from empowered Abundant Harvests. You need Shards of Dundun to turn an ordinary event into a currency-paying Harvest.
How much Unalloyed Abundance can you get?
Patch 12.0.7 removed much of the repetitive grind by allowing several Shards of Dundun to be consumed at once.
| Shards used | Maximum Unalloyed Abundance | Fused Vitality equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 900 | 1, with 100 left |
| 2 | 1,800 | 2, with 200 left |
| 4 | 3,600 | 4, with 400 left |
| 8 | 7,200 | 9 |
The multiplier does not provide a bonus for spending more Shards at once. It simply lets you compress several Harvests into one run. If you are worried about disconnects or a failed event, using fewer Shards reduces how much you risk in one attempt.
Fastest Abundance method: if your character already has eight Shards of Dundun and you are confident in the event, spending all eight together can turn the old eight-run grind into a single Harvest.
Method 2: Buy 3 from Abyss Anglers
Depthdiver Tu'nakit sells Fused Vitality during the Abyss Anglers event in Zul'Aman.
- Cost: 750 Angler Pearls each.
- Stock: 3 per character per week.
- Total cost for all three: 2,250 Angler Pearls.
This source is independent of Chel's Unalloyed Abundance route. If you already participate in Abyss Anglers, buying the weekly three is one of the easiest ways to reduce the amount of Abundance farming needed.

Patch 12.0.5 added 1 Fused Vitality to Midnight profession weekly quests.
That means a character with two eligible primary professions can normally obtain two Fused Vitality per week by completing both profession weeklies. Exact weekly objectives depend on the profession: crafting professions may receive crafting-order tasks, while gathering professions receive their own collection objectives.
This is the lowest-effort source. Even if you do not intend to grind Abundance every week, skipping the profession quests slows your epic profession-equipment progression for no good reason.
How Many Fused Vitality Can You Get Per Week?
For a character using two eligible primary professions, the typical maximum from the current repeatable sources is:
| Source | Fused Vitality |
|---|---|
| 8 weekly Shards → 7,200 Unalloyed Abundance | 9 |
| Abyss Anglers | 3 |
| Two profession weekly quests | 2 |
| Maximum practical weekly total | 14 |
This assumes maximum Abundance payout and that both profession weeklies award the reagent that week.
How Long Does It Take to Get 20 Fused Vitality?
A large number of epic Midnight profession tools and accessories require 20 Fused Vitality.
Up to around 14 per week means one 20-Vitality item can normally be funded during the second week.
About 5 per week with two profession weeklies, meaning roughly four weeks for one item without Abundance.
Two per week means ten weeks for a 20-Vitality item.
A typical primary profession has three profession-equipment slots. If all three epic pieces require 20 Vitality, that represents 60 Fused Vitality for one profession before considering extra tools with alternative secondary stats.
What Is Fused Vitality Used For?
The main purpose is crafting epic Midnight profession equipment. Examples include:
- Sunforged Pickaxe;
- Sunforged Blacksmith's Hammer;
- Sunforged Blacksmith's Toolbox;
- Sunforged Needle Set;
- Sunforged Leatherworker's Toolset;
- Flawless Text Scrutinizers;
- Thalassian profession accessories;
- epic Cooking profession equipment such as Gilded Sin'dorei Rolling Pin and Thalassian Chef's Chapeau.
Many of these recipes require 20 Fused Vitality per item.
Old guides may mention Fused Vitality for Midnight weapon enchants. Those requirements were removed from several enchant recipes in an earlier hotfix. Treat Fused Vitality primarily as a profession-equipment reagent unless the current live recipe explicitly lists it.
Is Fused Vitality Warbound?
No. Fused Vitality itself is Bind on Pickup. Do not farm dozens on one character expecting to mail the reagent directly to another crafter or alt.
Plan the grind around the character that actually needs the profession equipment. This matters especially for players maintaining several profession alts.
Which Profession Equipment Should You Craft First?
Do not automatically craft all three epic pieces as soon as you reach 20 Vitality. The gain from an epic profession item depends heavily on its secondary profession stats and how much crafting you actually do.
A sensible order is:
- Upgrade your main profession tool first.
This is usually the most useful long-term piece and can be crafted around the secondary profession stat you actually want. - Prioritize Resourcefulness, Multicraft or Ingenuity according to your market.
The right secondary stat can matter more than simply owning every purple accessory. - Craft accessories after the important tool.
The advantage over strong rare-quality profession equipment can be relatively small. - Do not grind epic gear for an inactive profession.
If the character only crafts occasionally, the time investment may not repay itself.
Fastest Fused Vitality Farm Route
- Complete both profession weeklies first.
These are the easiest guaranteed pieces of progress. - Buy all three weekly Fused Vitality from Depthdiver Tu'nakit.
You need 2,250 Angler Pearls. - Collect your weekly Shards of Dundun.
They come from Midnight outdoor activities, gathering and profession-related sources. - Use multiple Shards in one Abundant Harvest.
If you use all eight and hit maximum reward, you receive 7,200 Unalloyed Abundance. - Buy nine Fused Vitality from Chel.
At 800 each, 7,200 buys exactly nine. - Stop at the amount you actually need.
Because Fused Vitality is BoP, stockpiling it on a finished crafter has limited value.
