Midnight Season 2 is now live. It began on August 18, 2026 in North America and August 19 in Europe, unlocking The Venomous Abyss, Season 2 Mythic+, PvP Season 2, Bountiful Delves, Azta’rec Nemesis progression and the current Nightmare Prey rotation.

Which Midnight Season 2 Mounts Should You Get First?
Collectors should prioritize rewards tied directly to the active season before spending large amounts of time on permanent Renown, treasure and rare-drop objectives.

The Venomous Abyss Raid Mounts
The Venomous Abyss provides two major mount objectives: Primeval Skyfriend from Mythic Ula’tek and Crimson Venomfang from the raid meta-achievement.
Primeval Skyfriend — Mythic Ula’tek
Primeval Skyfriend is the signature Mythic raid mount from The Venomous Abyss.
A qualifying Mythic Ula’tek kill drops three Primeval Skyfriend mounts. Three copies are therefore available to the 20-player Mythic raid; the kill does not automatically award a copy to every raid member.
The mount should also be separated from Cutting Edge. Defeating Mythic Ula’tek can satisfy Cutting Edge: Ula’tek while that achievement remains available, but Primeval Skyfriend itself is boss loot.

Crimson Venomfang — Glory of the Venomous Raider
Crimson Venomfang is awarded through Glory of the Venomous Raider.
This is a raid meta-achievement rather than a normal 8/8 clear. Players must complete special encounter conditions throughout The Venomous Abyss on Normal difficulty or higher.
Because these objectives deliberately change normal boss execution, a dedicated achievement group is generally more efficient than attempting every criterion during normal progression.

Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ Mounts
Mythic+ currently provides two direct Season 2 mounts at fixed rating thresholds:
- Breath of Blight at 2,000 Mythic+ Rating;
- Breath of Ruin at 3,000 Mythic+ Rating.
Breath of Blight — 2,000 Mythic+ Rating
Breath of Blight comes from Midnight Keystone Master: Season 2 after reaching at least 2,000 Mythic+ Rating.
Your total score comes from the current Season 2 dungeon pool, so improving a weak dungeon score is normally more efficient than repeatedly pushing a dungeon where you are already far ahead.
Use the Keystone Master Season 2 guide for the rating route or the Keystone Master service for a defined 2,000-rating target.
Breath of Ruin — 3,000 Mythic+ Rating
Breath of Ruin is awarded through Midnight Keystone Legend: Season 2 at 3,000 Mythic+ Rating.
This is substantially more demanding than the 2,000 KSM milestone. Progress efficiently by identifying your lowest individual dungeon scores and improving those first.

What About the 3,400 Timelost Saddle?
The Season 2 Keystone Myth / Timelost Saddle path is not part of the live Patch 12.1 reward list as of September 9, 2026.
A Season 2 Keystone Myth achievement is being prepared through the upcoming Patch 12.1.5 content update. Current PTR information associates it with the 3,400-rating stretch milestone and the Timelost Saddle system, but it should not be treated as a live Season 2 reward until that update is released.
For that reason, Timelost Saddle is not counted among the 22 currently obtainable Patch 12.1 mount names in this guide.
Season 2 Delve Mounts
Delves provide three very different mount routes: a difficult solo Nemesis achievement, Delver’s Journey progression and a treasure inside Gnarldor Isle.
Apophic Soul Crusher — Solo Azta’rec on Tier ??
Apophic Soul Crusher is awarded by Let Me Solo Him: Azta’rec.
Defeat Season 2 Nemesis boss Azta’rec on Tier ?? without another player in your party. This is a true solo requirement.
The mount is different from the opening-week Fabled Vanquisher objective. The first-week achievement had its own limited title condition; Apophic Soul Crusher belongs to the regular Season 2 solo Nemesis achievement.

Corroded Soul Crusher — Delver’s Journey Rank 5
Corroded Soul Crusher becomes available from Telemancer Astrandis after reaching Delver’s Journey Rank 5.
The mount costs 10 Voidlight Marl. The real requirement is therefore the Journey progression rather than the small currency cost.
Progress Delver’s Journey through your normal Season 2 Delves so the same runs can also contribute to gear, Great Vault World progress and other seasonal Delve objectives.
Delver’s Arcane Golem — Gnarldor Isle Treasure
Delver’s Arcane Golem comes from a specific Sturdy Chest in the Gnarldor Isle Delve.
The relevant chest is around:

Unlike a long reputation grind, this is primarily a treasure objective. Enter Gnarldor Isle, reach the ruined tower area and open the relevant chest. If the mount is not immediately visible in your bags after leaving the Delve, also check the mailbox.
Prey Mounts in Midnight Season 2
Preyhunter’s Fury — Preyhunter’s Journey Rank 10
Preyhunter’s Fury unlocks after reaching Preyhunter’s Journey Rank 10.
Purchase it from Construct V’anore in Silvermoon City for 2,250 Remnant of Anguish.

Hexflame Reaver — Ral’kala
Hexflame Reaver is the RNG Prey mount associated with Ral’kala.
There is no published fixed number of Nightmare Prey kills that guarantees it. Combine Ral’kala attempts with Preyhunter’s Journey progression whenever possible.
Midnight Season 2 PvP Mounts
Season 2 has two primary current PvP mount objectives: Vicious Lightbloom Boar for the rated PvP seasonal progress track and Venomous Gladiator’s Goredrake for Gladiator in rated 3v3.

Vicious Lightbloom Boar
Vicious Lightbloom Boar is the current Vicious rated PvP mount, with separate Alliance and Horde color variants.
The Venomous Combatant objective requires winning eligible rated PvP matches while at 1,000 rating or higher. Completing the current objective rewards a Vicious Saddle, which is exchanged for the Vicious Lightbloom Boar.
You do not need Rival, Elite or Gladiator rating for this mount.
If this is your specific Season 2 target, use the Vicious Lightbloom Boar Boost.
After completing the current seasonal reward path, additional qualifying Vicious progress can be used toward Vicious Saddle progression for eligible legacy Vicious mounts.
Venomous Gladiator’s Goredrake
Venomous Gladiator’s Goredrake is earned through Gladiator: Midnight Season 2.
You must:
- reach Elite rank at 2,300 in rated 3v3;
- win 50 rated 3v3 games while at Elite rank;
- complete the requirement during Midnight Season 2.
2v2, Solo Shuffle and Battleground Blitz do not replace these qualifying 3v3 victories.

The Writhing Brood — Altar of Fangs
The Writhing Brood is a rare mount associated with Zul’jan, the final boss of Altar of Fangs.
It can drop through Mythic or Mythic+ Altar of Fangs. This makes Mythic+ particularly useful for collectors because a single run can simultaneously contribute to:
- The Writhing Brood attempts;
- Mythic+ Rating;
- Great Vault progress;
- current dungeon gear;
- Keystone Master or Keystone Legend progress.
No fixed number of runs guarantees the mount.

Zul’jarra’s Forces Renown Mounts
Zul’jarra’s Forces opens three mount objectives as its Renown track progresses.

Sea-Dwelling Isle Serpent belongs to Captain Tokka’s friendship and Cursed Fishing progression.
You need:

- 2,500 Coiled Filament.
Purchase the mount from Second Mate Sluggs after meeting both conditions.

Auriferous Venomfang — Treasures of the Coiled Isle

Complete the required hidden treasure criteria throughout the zone. The most efficient route combines treasure collection with:
- Coiled Isle rares;
- World Quests;
- Zul’jarra’s Forces Renown;
- Captain Tokka activities;
- other zone achievements.

Ruby Writhe and Topaz Skyfang
Ruby Writhe and Topaz Skyfang are rare drops connected to Coiled Isle rare creatures.
Instead of camping one NPC indefinitely, build a route through active rares while also completing World Quests, treasures, Renown and Vault objectives.
No fixed number of kills guarantees either mount.
Vaults of Atal’Utek Mounts
Caustic Venomfang — 10,000 Corrosive Coins
Caustic Venomfang costs 10,000 Corrosive Coins from the Skull of Er’inye inside the Vaults of Atal’Utek.

Emerald Skyfang is awarded through Pro Poison Patroller after completing 250 Temple Patrols inside the Vaults of Atal’Utek.
Instead of farming all 250 patrols separately, combine them with:
- Corrosive Coin farming;
- Vault events;
- Assault the Vault criteria;
- Zul’jarra’s Forces progression;
- other Vault achievements.
Venomous Coiler — Assault the Vault
Venomous Coiler comes from the larger Assault the Vault meta-achievement.
Check which criteria you already have before starting a dedicated farm because several requirements overlap with patrols, Vault activities and Corrosive Coin routes.
