The Venomous Abyss achievements changed substantially during the Patch 12.1 PTR cycle. The earlier version of this guide listed only five requirements for the raid meta. The latest PTR entry for achievement 63254, now titled Glory of the Venomous Raider, contains eight boss-specific achievements — one for every encounter in The Venomous Abyss — and rewards the account-wide Crimson Venomfang mount.
All eight Glory criteria are currently listed for Normal difficulty or higher. You do not need Ahead of the Curve, Cutting Edge, or a Mythic Ula’tek kill for the Glory mount. However, each boss has an additional mechanic that must be completed correctly before or during the kill, so a normal raid clear by itself is not enough.
Current status — August 9, 2026: The latest Wowhead PTR page for achievement 63254 uses the name Glory of the Venomous Raider and lists eight criteria. Older PTR caches and the previous ExpCarry article still show Glory of the Venomous Abyss Raider with only five criteria. This guide follows the newest eight-achievement version and should be checked once more when the raid opens on August 18/19.

How to Complete Every Glory Achievement
1. Well, Well, Little Sky — Nek'zali the Soulcoiler
Requirement: defeat Nek'zali after returning Kupamanduka to the Soulcoil Well.
The key point is that this is an interaction objective, not a damage check. The raid should identify Kupamanduka and complete the return to the Soulcoil Well before committing to the kill. Do not push the boss to the end of the encounter until the achievement interaction has clearly been completed.
For the normal fight mechanics, use the Nek'zali the Soulcoiler Boss Guide.
2. Is Venom Stasis A Joke To You? — Entombed Sentinels
Requirement: each Sentinel must use Vitriolic Stasis to restore more than 50% of its total health before the encounter is defeated. The tracker has separate criteria for Breath of Ula’tek and Blood of Ula’tek.
This achievement directly conflicts with a normal “kill as fast as possible” strategy. The raid needs enough control to let both Sentinels receive the required healing without accidentally killing one early. Stop or reduce damage when necessary, verify that both healing criteria have registered, and only then finish the encounter.
See the Entombed Sentinels Boss Guide for the standard encounter mechanics.
3. Accidental Inclusion — The Lost Explorers
Requirement: defeat The Lost Explorers while including Hoji in the fight.
The public achievement text is deliberately short and does not currently provide a more detailed step-by-step condition than “Include Hoji in the fight.” Do not invent an extra kill order or damage rule that is not in the tracker. Before the pull, confirm how Hoji is brought into the encounter on the current live/PTR build, trigger that condition, then complete the boss normally.
Use the The Lost Explorers Boss Guide for the fight itself.
4. Kept You Waiting Huh? — Vashnik the Malignant
Requirement: kill the Solidified Snake Venom before defeating Vashnik.
This is easier to organize than objectives that require the whole raid to hold a specific debuff. The safest plan is to assign target priority in advance: when the Solidified Snake Venom becomes available, switch to it, confirm the add is dead, then finish Vashnik. Avoid killing the boss before the criterion is satisfied.
See the Vashnik the Malignant Boss Guide for normal mechanics and positioning.
5. Jumping Through Hoops — Sszorak
Requirement: jump through every ring that appears during the Sszorak encounter, then defeat the boss.
The achievement tracker uses a single “All rings jumped through” criterion. Because Sszorak already contains knockbacks and forced movement, the raid should prioritize controlled movement over maximum DPS during ring sequences. Missing even one required ring can invalidate the attempt.
Use the Sszorak Boss Guide to understand the normal movement pattern before adding the achievement objective.
6. Taking a Bite out of Slime — The Twin Fangs
Requirement: during Ravenous Feast, feed Ithraz the following slimes in this exact order:
- Crunchy Appetizer
- Sumptuous Soup
- Tasty Blob
- Jiggly Dessert
This is the most explicit sequence-based Glory criterion. The raid should assign one caller to track the four steps and avoid feeding the wrong slime out of order. Do not improvise the sequence mid-fight; the achievement criteria themselves define the order.
7. Watch Out Behind You — The Coiled Altar
Requirement: defeat The Coiled Altar while all players are afflicted by Unnerving Fixation.
This is a raid-wide timing objective. The kill needs to happen while every eligible player has the required effect, so pushing the encounter at the wrong moment can waste the attempt. Slow final damage if needed, confirm the raid-wide condition, and then finish the encounter during the valid window.
Use the The Coiled Altar Boss Guide for the three-phase encounter before attempting the Glory condition.
8. No Egg Scramble — Ula'tek
Requirement: defeat Ula'tek before the Greasy Hatchling breaks.
This is the final Glory criterion and it also has its own reward: the Ula'took companion pet. The current public achievement description does not justify inventing extra egg-handling rules beyond keeping the Greasy Hatchling unbroken. Treat preservation of the Hatchling as a hard fail condition and prioritize a clean boss kill around it.
See the Ula'tek Boss Guide for the final encounter.
Crimson Venomfang: Glory Meta Reward
Completing all eight criteria awards the Crimson Venomfang. Wowhead currently lists it as an account-wide mount tied directly to the Glory achievement. It is not a random Ula'tek drop, does not use a bonus roll, and does not require Mythic difficulty.
| Reward | Source | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Crimson Venomfang | Glory of the Venomous Raider | Complete all 8 Glory criteria |
| Ula'took | No Egg Scramble | Defeat Ula'tek before the Greasy Hatchling breaks |
Glory vs AotC, Cutting Edge and Other Raid Achievements
| Achievement path | Difficulty | Main requirement / reward |
|---|---|---|
| Glory of the Venomous Raider | Normal+ | 8 special boss objectives → Crimson Venomfang |
| Ahead of the Curve: Ula'tek | Heroic+ | Defeat Ula'tek before the next raid tier |
| Cutting Edge: Ula'tek | Mythic | Defeat Mythic Ula'tek before the next raid tier |
| Mythic: Ula'tek | Mythic | Mythic final-boss achievement; Blizzard lists the Venom's End title |
| Hall of Fame: Ula'tek | Mythic guild progression | Qualifying early guild kill; Famed Slayer of Ula'tek title |
| Comforting Da Spirits | Normal+ | Separate raid exploration/interaction achievement; not in the latest Glory meta |

Best Difficulty for a Glory Run
All eight current Glory criteria explicitly require Normal difficulty or higher. That makes Normal the most efficient default for a dedicated achievement group because:
- the required achievement mechanics are active;
- boss health and outgoing damage are lower than Heroic or Mythic;
- the raid can deliberately slow damage for objectives such as Vitriolic Stasis or Unnerving Fixation;
- there is no additional Glory benefit for completing the criteria on Heroic or Mythic.
Raid Finder does not qualify because the achievements explicitly state Normal difficulty or higher.
Can All 8 Glory Achievements Be Done in One Run?
There is one Glory objective tied to each of the eight bosses, so a coordinated raid can attempt the entire meta during one full Normal clear. That does not mean one-run completion is guaranteed: failing any criterion means the corresponding boss achievement remains incomplete and will need another eligible attempt.
The best structure is to keep an eight-row checklist, verify the tracker after every boss, and avoid leaving the raid until the credit is visible. The highest-risk objectives are the ones that depend on raid-wide timing or deliberately extending the encounter rather than simply killing a special target.
Recommended Glory Raid Checklist
- Set the raid to Normal unless the group has another reason to run Heroic/Mythic.
- Open achievement 63254 and confirm the current eight criteria before the first pull.
- Assign one raid leader or assistant to call every achievement condition.
- Use boss-specific notes rather than trying to remember all eight conditions from chat.
- Stop DPS when the achievement requires healing, a debuff window, or an interaction before the kill.
- Check achievement credit immediately after each boss.
- For The Twin Fangs, keep the four-slime order visible to the entire group.
- For The Coiled Altar, coordinate the final kill around Unnerving Fixation.
- For Ula'tek, protect the Greasy Hatchling condition until the boss is dead.
If you prefer an organized achievement run rather than coordinating all eight conditions in a pug, the relevant ExpCarry option is Glory of the Venomous Raider. The service link is intentionally placed only here, where the search intent changes from learning the requirements to completing the meta.
Common Glory Mistakes
- Following the old five-achievement list: the latest meta page contains eight boss-specific criteria.
- Using the old meta name as proof of current criteria: achievement 63254 has changed during the PTR cycle; verify the current tracker rather than an older cached page.
- Killing Entombed Sentinels too quickly: both must restore more than half their total health through Vitriolic Stasis.
- Feeding Twin Fangs slimes in the wrong order: the sequence is fixed.
- Finishing Coiled Altar outside the debuff window: all players need Unnerving Fixation when the encounter is defeated.
- Assuming No Egg Scramble only matters for the pet: it is also one of the eight Glory criteria.
- Counting Comforting Da Spirits as a Glory requirement: Blizzard lists it as a raid achievement, but the newest Glory meta does not.
- Trying Raid Finder: the Glory boss criteria state Normal difficulty or higher.
