WoW Timewalking is a rotating Retail event that brings older World of Warcraft dungeons back into the current game with level-scaled enemies, modern rewards and Timewarped Badges. In Midnight, Timewalking is useful for leveling alts, farming old mounts and transmog, earning reputation, collecting badges and completing the current weekly event quest.
Current Timewalking event: Mists of Pandaria Timewalking is active now. It runs from October 6 to October 13 in North America and from the October 7 reset to October 14 in Europe.
The current Timewalking vendor is Mistweaver Xia on the Timeless Isle at 43.0, 55.4. She sells Pandaria mounts, pets, toys, transmog, reputation items and other rewards for Timewarped Badges.
At level 90, complete A Shrouded Path Through Time by finishing five Timewalking dungeons. The current reward is a Cache of Amani Treasures containing Champion-track Season 2 equipment.

Mists of Pandaria Timewalking: Current Week
This is a normal Mists of Pandaria Timewalking week, not Turbulent Timeways. You can queue from level 10 through the Dungeon Finder. At maximum level, pick up A Shrouded Path Through Time through the Adventure Guide or from Archmage Aethas Sunreaver in Silvermoon City.
The active dungeon pool contains six Mists of Pandaria dungeons:

The total differs because each dungeon contains a different number of required bosses. The current system awards 10 badges from each non-final boss, 20 from the final boss and 25 for completing the dungeon.
Fast badge win: the first Timewalking dungeon on an eligible level-30-or-higher character drops the expansion-specific quest item. The first Warband turn-in for the week awards 500 Timewarped Badges. Eligible turn-ins on additional characters use the reduced Warband reward structure.

You do not need to spend your badges this week. Timewarped Badges persist between Timewalking events and are Warbound, so saving them for another expansion's vendor is completely valid.

Current Timewalking Weekly Quest
Maximum-level characters can complete A Shrouded Path Through Time. The objective is five qualifying Mists of Pandaria Timewalking dungeon completions. In the current Midnight Season 2 event, the reward is a Cache of Amani Treasures with Champion-track equipment for your loot specialization.
Complete this before turning the week into a pure badge farm. It is limited weekly value, whereas normal Timewalking dungeons can continue to be repeated while the event is active.
How Timewalking Works in WoW Midnight
Modern Timewalking no longer uses the old model where your character is simply reduced to the historical dungeon level. Blizzard changed Timewalking to use Chromie Time-style scaling: enemies scale to your current level.
Blizzard later increased enemy and boss health so players have time to use normal rotations, healing and defensive abilities. Gear still matters, so an experienced and well-equipped character can perform noticeably better than an undergeared alt.
Timewalking dungeon queues are available from level 10 during the corresponding active event. The high-value first-dungeon quest item requires an eligible character of at least level 30.
Is Timewalking Good for Leveling?
Yes, particularly when queue times are short. A Timewalking run combines dungeon experience, boss experience, completion experience, scaled equipment and Timewarped Badges. Tanks and healers usually benefit the most from rapid queues, while DPS players can continue questing or gathering between dungeon pops.
Do not confuse normal Timewalking with Turbulent Timeways. The most recent Turbulent Timeways event has ended, so the stacking Knowledge of the Timeways and Mastery of the Timeways XP buffs are not active during the current MoP week.
How to Farm Timewarped Badges Fast
Start with rewards that are limited per character or Warband, then move to repeatable dungeons.
- Complete your first MoP Timewalking dungeon on an eligible character and turn in the first-run quest item.
- Finish the five-dungeon weekly quest on your level-90 character.
- If you have useful eligible alts, use their reduced first-run Warband turn-ins before grinding dozens of dungeons on one character.
- After limited rewards are finished, farm the quickest dungeon completions your queue gives you.
- Keep badges if there is nothing you actually want from the current vendor.
For the current pool, raw badge totals range from 65 to 85 per complete dungeon, so Scholomance awards more badges per finished run but is not automatically the fastest badges-per-minute option. Queue time and actual clear speed matter more.

When Is the Next Timewalking Event?
After the current Mists of Pandaria event ends, the next scheduled Timewalking week is Warlords of Draenor: October 27–November 3 in North America and October 28–November 4 on European realms.
The later currently scheduled 2026 rotation continues with Legion in November, Battle for Azeroth in December and Shadowlands near the end of December. Always check the in-game calendar before planning around a future date because Blizzard can adjust event schedules.
Does Mists of Pandaria Timewalking Have a Raid?
No current Mists of Pandaria Timewalking raid is available. The active event is based on its six-dungeon pool. Timewalking raids currently exist for selected other expansions, including Black Temple for The Burning Crusade, Ulduar for Wrath of the Lich King and Firelands for Cataclysm.
Can Infinite Timereaver Drop from Timewalking?
Yes. Reins of the Infinite Timereaver can drop from Timewalking bosses. It is a random drop rather than a vendor purchase, so there is no badge target or guaranteed number of runs that secures it.
