WoW Forever Engineering Guide: Leveling 1-300, Gold and Specializations

WoW Forever Engineering Guide: Leveling 1-300, Gold and Specializations

Engineering in World of Warcraft: Forever is a primary crafting profession built around explosives, scopes, guns, mechanical devices, target dummies, profession components and utility that other professions cannot easily replace. It still progresses to 300 skill, but Forever adds three Engineering Camping objects, more recipes across the leveling journey and Legacy rewards for profession milestones. The practical way to level Engineering is to turn cheap stone and metal into reusable components first, spend those components on recipes that remain useful, and avoid burning rare Mithril, Thorium or Arcanite materials only to force a few skill points.

What is the best profession to pair with Engineering in WoW Forever?
Mining is the most natural pairing because Engineering consumes large amounts of stone, Copper, Bronze, Iron, Mithril and Thorium. A separate Miner alt can supply the same materials, so Mining is useful rather than mandatory.

How do you level Engineering from 1 to 300?
Start with Rough Blasting Powder and Rough Dynamite, move into Copper parts, Coarse Stone and Bronze recipes, then use Heavy and Solid Stone, Iron and Mithril before finishing with Dense Stone, Thorium components and high-level devices. Craft components in smaller batches because many of them are reused later, and remember that Forever adds new recipes that can create cheaper alternatives to the traditional route.

How does Engineering make gold?
Engineering can earn gold through scopes, mechanical components, quest materials, explosives, rare schematics and high-level parts such as Thorium Widget and Delicate Arcanite Converter. Some utility items also have value, but many Engineering gadgets require Engineering to use and some items compete with vendor supply, so always check the actual buyer pool and material cost before mass crafting.

Should you choose Gnomish or Goblin Engineering?
Gnomish focuses more on unusual gadgets, control tools and personal devices, while Goblin focuses more heavily on explosives and destructive utility. Current Forever quest data still contains both specialization chains, but the beta is currently capped far below the normal specialization range, so launch behavior and specialization-switching methods cannot yet be verified through normal high-level beta play.

What does Engineering add to Camping?
Current beta data lists Reagent Bot at 20 Engineering, Repair Bot at 140 and Anarchist's Workbench at 300. They progress from reagent access to repairs and finally a portable Engineering workspace.

Last updated: September 21, 2026. WoW Forever is currently in beta. The test began on September 17 with a level cap of 20, which Blizzard plans to raise to 30 later in the beta. The beta runs through October 21, while WoW Forever is scheduled to launch on November 4, 2026. Early Engineering can therefore be tested directly, but most of the 150-300 route, specialization economy and level-60 schematic market still rely on current Forever database data rather than complete endgame beta testing.

WoW Forever Engineering at a Glance

Engineering is strongest when you think of it as a network of components rather than a list of finished items. Handful of Copper Bolts, Whirring Bronze Gizmo, Mithril Casing and Thorium Widget are not dead-end skill crafts. They feed later devices, quests, campsite objects and other Engineering recipes. Blizzard's WoW Forever Deep Dive confirms more than 600 new profession recipes across the game, advanced Blueprint recipes from dungeon bosses and three Camping objects for every profession, so keeping useful components has more value than vendoring every intermediate craft.

The correct route changes with material prices and with any new Forever recipes that become available at your current skill. Stone-heavy recipes can be excellent when Miners dump stone cheaply, while metal-heavy routes become more attractive when ore supply is strong. Engineering also produces components in different stack sizes, so never assume that one craft equals one usable component without checking the current recipe.

What Changed for Engineering in WoW Forever

Forever preserves the identity of Engineering but makes the profession more visible during ordinary world play. The biggest change is not one new bomb. It is the combination of expanded recipes, Camping services, Legacy milestones and dungeon Blueprints that give Engineering value outside a capital city or one PvP encounter.

  • More recipes across the full 1-60 journey: Blizzard announced more than 600 new profession recipes across all professions, so old Classic Engineering lists are not complete Forever references.
  • Camping adds group services: Engineering can supply reagents, repairs and eventually a profession workspace through its three campsite objects.
  • High-level Blueprints can come from dungeons: recipe acquisition can become part of group progression rather than only trainer visits and world drops.
  • Legacy rewards profession milestones: current beta data connects Engineering skill milestones at 150, 225 and 300 with account progression.
  • Existing utility is still relevant: target dummies, grenades, scopes, mechanical parts and specialization gadgets remain visible in the Forever database.
  • Specializations still exist: current Forever quest records retain Gnomish and Goblin Engineering and describe them as distinct disciplines.

The important rule for a pre-launch guide is to separate the confirmed profession framework from assumptions about the final meta. Engineering can be confirmed as a gadget-heavy profession with both specializations and new Camping tools, but its final level-60 economy, PvP priorities and best high-level leveling recipes cannot be established while the beta remains capped at low character levels.

Tools and Materials to Prepare Before Leveling

Engineering repeatedly uses profession tools and secondary materials that are easy to forget if you focus only on bars. Keep a Blacksmith Hammer and Arclight Spanner available when required, and expect leather, cloth, gems and vendor reagents to appear alongside metal and stone.

  • Stone: Rough, Coarse, Heavy, Solid and Dense Stone become blasting powders and other useful intermediates. Mining supplies stone naturally while gathering ore.
  • Bars: Copper, Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Truesilver and Thorium feed parts, weapons, explosives, scopes and high-level devices.
  • Cloth: Linen, Wool, Mageweave and Runecloth appear in bombs, dummies, components and late recipes.
  • Leather: several mechanical devices use leather even though Engineering is primarily metal-based.
  • Gems: scopes and advanced gadgets can consume gems that may be expensive during profession rushes.
  • Vendor reagents: flux and other cheap supplies can still stop a crafting session if you forget them before leaving town.

Do not buy the full 1-300 material list at once. Much of the high-level profession has not yet been tested through normal beta progression, Forever adds new recipes to the traditional profession path, and a launch economy can make one tier much cheaper than expected. Buying the next 25-50 skill points at a time keeps you flexible.

Players who prefer an assisted route can review the WoW Forever Engineering leveling service for the ranges it offers. The self-play route below focuses on the profession progression for players leveling Engineering themselves.

WoW Forever Engineering Leveling 1-300

The route below combines current Forever recipe data with the traditional Engineering component ladder, but it deliberately avoids presenting one fixed shopping list as guaranteed for launch. Forever adds new recipes, material prices vary by realm, and most high-level profession progression is not yet directly testable in the current beta. Use orange and yellow recipes when their material cost is sensible, preserve components that feed later crafts and replace any suggested step when a new Forever recipe provides a cheaper path.

Engineering 1-75: Rough Stone, Copper Parts and Reagent Bot

Start with Rough Blasting Powder. It turns cheap Rough Stone into a reagent used by early explosives and stays a reliable opener. After the first 30 points, Copper components become the main route. Do not rush Copper Tube or Copper Modulator before their normal skill ranges simply because the Reagent Bot recipe itself appears earlier.

  1. 1-20: make Rough Blasting Powder while it remains orange. It turns yellow at 20, so you can continue with it toward 30 when Rough Stone is cheap.
  2. 20-30: continue Rough Blasting Powder while the price is favorable or use early crafts such as Rough Dynamite. The goal is to reach 30 without wasting Copper on recipes that are not yet available.
  3. At 20: the Reagent Bot recipe becomes available. It requires Handful of Copper Bolts and a Copper Tube, so a self-sufficient Engineer normally crafts it later after unlocking those components; players who obtain the parts from another Engineer can make it sooner.
  4. 30-50: make Handful of Copper Bolts from 30, then use a low-cost recipe such as Rough Copper Bomb as the bolts begin losing skill value.
  5. 50-75: move into Copper Tube around 50 and Copper Modulator

This is one of the cheapest parts of Engineering if you preserve components. Buying bolts, tubes and modulators back later can cost more than the tiny amount you receive by selling them now.

Engineering 75-150: Coarse Stone, Bronze Parts, Scopes and Repair Bot

The second bracket shifts toward Coarse Stone, Bronze and then Heavy Stone. Coarse Blasting Powder is the cleanest opening craft from 75, while Bronze components and utility recipes take over as the powder loses skill value.

  1. 75-85: use Coarse Blasting Powder. It is a direct stone conversion and is normally one of the simplest ways through the first ten points of this bracket.
  2. At 85: Target Dummy becomes available as a practical device that can distract nearby enemies for a short period. Coarse Dynamite and Target Dummy also give alternatives after Coarse Blasting Powder starts losing value.
  3. 90-120: move through Target Dummy, Silver Contact, Bronze components and other affordable trainer recipes according to recipe color and material prices.
  4. Scopes: Standard Scope provides a permanent ranged weapon upgrade and gives Engineering a product that Hunters and other bow or gun users may want.
  5. 125 onward: Heavy Blasting Powder becomes an important stone-based route. Do not keep producing it after it becomes inefficient simply because Heavy Stone is easy to obtain.
  6. At 140: current beta data unlocks Repair Bot, crafted from Whirring Bronze Gizmos, a Bronze Tube and Heavy Leather.
  7. 140-150: finish with the cheapest useful yellow or orange recipe available to you. Crafted ammunition and other trainer recipes may be more efficient than forcing Heavy Blasting Powder once it stops giving dependable skill-ups.

The Forever Camping connection makes earlier components more important than they appear in a basic leveling guide. A Whirring Bronze Gizmo is not merely a leveling material; it is part of the Repair Bot recipe and can therefore retain demand from Engineers who skipped the earlier component grind.

Engineering 150-225: Iron, Solid Stone, Grenades and Mithril Parts

This is where Engineering becomes significantly more expensive and more useful. The route begins with Gold and Iron recipes, moves into Solid Stone at 175 and then transitions into Mithril components. Build inventory around parts that have several uses rather than one narrow gadget.

  1. 150-175: use Gold Power Core, Aquadynamic Fish Attractor, fireworks, Iron Strut, Gyrochronatom or other inexpensive recipes available at your current skill. Heavy Blasting Powder is no longer a dependable 150-175 leveling route.
  2. At 175: Iron Grenade provides damage plus short crowd control, while Solid Blasting Powder becomes one of the core leveling crafts for this range.
  3. 175-195: use Solid Blasting Powder while it remains efficient. Advanced Target Dummy becomes available later in this bracket and provides another practical use for your components.
  4. At 190: Big Iron Bomb becomes usable and provides another explosive option as you approach the Mithril tier.
  5. 195-205: start producing Mithril Tube and use Big Iron Bomb or other efficient crafts when their material cost is better.
  6. 205-225: make Unstable Trigger and then Mithril Casing as they become available. These components feed later bombs, devices and high-level recipes, so keeping a reserve is usually better than vendoring them.

Do not turn every Mithril Bar into one component. Specialization quests and advanced gadgets can ask for different parts, and Mithril prices often rise when many players reach the same profession tier at once.

Engineering 225-300: Dense Stone, Thorium and Endgame Devices

The final bracket should be treated as inventory preparation for level 60 rather than a race to 300. Blizzard's beta announcement confirms that the current test opens progression in stages and begins with a level-20 cap, so the full high-level economy cannot yet be measured directly. Current Forever recipe data still gives a useful view of the traditional components and devices available in this range, while new Forever recipes may provide additional routes.

  1. 225-250: use Mithril Casing, Mithril bombs, Hi-Explosive Bomb or other efficient Mithril recipes available to you. Preserve Truesilver, rare gems and expensive components for recipes where their finished value justifies the cost.
  2. At 240: Sniper Scope becomes craftable if you know its schematic. The schematic requires Engineering 240, and the recipe uses a Mithril Tube, Star Ruby and two Truesilver Bars.
  3. 250-260: make Dense Blasting Powder while its skill value and Dense Stone price make sense.
  4. At 260: Dense Dynamite and Thorium recipes begin to become important. Dense Dynamite uses Dense Blasting Powder and Runecloth, while Thorium components become the foundation of the final profession tier.
  5. 260-285: work through Thorium Widget, Thorium Grenade and other efficient Thorium recipes. Thorium Grenade requires Engineering 260 and consumes a Thorium Widget, Thorium Bars, Dense Blasting Powder and Runecloth.
  6. At 285: Delicate Arcanite Converter becomes a notable high-level component. Its schematic requires Engineering 285 in current Forever data and the component is used by several advanced devices and quest-related crafts.
  7. 285-300: finish with efficient Thorium recipes, ammunition, rare schematics or devices whose finished value helps offset the material cost. At 300, current beta data unlocks Anarchist's Workbench.

Players who want to craft the profession themselves but prefer to obtain prepared materials can review the WoW Forever Profession Kits page for available self-play material packages. Rare schematics, specialization requirements and any launch-specific unlocks still need to be handled separately.

Engineering Components You Should Not Vendor

Engineering punishes players who sell intermediate parts too early. Many recipes are intentionally layered: a bar becomes a tube, a tube combines with another part, and the final assembly becomes a gadget. Rebuying components later usually means paying another Engineer's margin.

ComponentMain TierWhy Keep ItGold-Making Potential
Handful of Copper BoltsEarlyUsed in multiple devices and Reagent BotUseful to Engineers who skipped early component crafting
Whirring Bronze GizmoBronzeFeeds devices and Repair BotCross-recipe demand can exceed vendor value
GyrochronatomIronUsed by several mechanical recipesConvenience market for Engineers buying parts
Mithril CasingMithrilAdvanced gadgets and Engineering assembliesCan sell to players completing recipes or quests
Thorium WidgetThoriumUsed in Thorium devices and Anarchist's WorkbenchHigh-level component demand
Delicate Arcanite ConverterEndgameAdvanced devices and quest-related usesPotential high-margin convenience component when supply is limited

Keep enough components for your own next recipes, then sell surplus only when the market pays more than the future replacement cost. Engineering storage looks inefficient because the profession uses many different parts, but that inventory flexibility is exactly what prevents expensive emergency purchases later.

Best Engineering Items to Use While Leveling

Engineering's personal value comes from solving problems other professions usually solve with class abilities or group help. A target dummy can buy time after a bad pull, a grenade can interrupt a dangerous sequence through crowd control, and a scope can improve a ranged weapon for several levels.

  • Target Dummy: useful as an emergency distraction during solo leveling. Current Forever data requires Engineering 85.
  • Advanced Target Dummy: stronger version for higher-level content and difficult pulls.
  • Iron Grenade: combines Fire damage with short crowd control. The effect ends when the affected target takes damage, so timing matters.
  • Thorium Grenade: high-level grenade requiring Engineering 260 in current Forever data.
  • Standard Scope: early permanent bow or gun upgrade.
  • Accurate Scope: stronger ranged weapon upgrade requiring character level 20.
  • Sniper Scope: high-level ranged upgrade whose schematic requires Engineering 240.
  • Aquadynamic Fish Attractor: boosts Fishing by 100 for five minutes in current Forever data. It is useful cross-profession utility, although vendor availability can limit its resale margin.

Do not use expensive consumable devices on trivial enemies. Engineering becomes cost-effective when a gadget prevents a death, saves a difficult pull, improves a long-lived weapon or helps a group complete content more reliably.

How to Make Gold with Engineering in WoW Forever

Engineering has a reputation for producing personal toys, but that does not mean it lacks a market. The profitable side of the profession comes from items other players can trade, consume or need as components. Always check whether an item requires Engineering to use and whether the same utility item is available from a vendor before assuming the entire realm is your customer base.

  1. Sell scopes to ranged weapon users. Standard, Accurate and Sniper Scope serve different leveling brackets and give bow or gun users a simple permanent weapon upgrade.
  2. Treat fishing lures as a situational market. Aquadynamic Fish Attractor is useful, but current Forever data also lists vendor sources. Check vendor prices and local convenience demand before crafting or flipping large quantities.
  3. Sell intermediate components. Bronze Tube, Whirring Bronze Gizmo, Mithril Casing, Thorium Widget and Delicate Arcanite Converter can save another Engineer time and recipe steps.
  4. Sell quest-related parts when demand appears. Components such as Mithril Casing and Delicate Arcanite Converter can appear in quest or advanced crafting requirements. Confirm the current Forever requirement before building inventory around them.
  5. Sell explosives only to the correct audience. Many bombs and grenades require Engineering to use, which narrows demand but can create repeat purchases from active Engineers.
  6. Farm or buy rare schematics intelligently. A rare recipe creates value only if the finished item has buyers. Do not pay a large premium for a schematic whose output has no market.
  7. Charge for difficult crafts when appropriate. If a valuable crafted item is tradable, customer-supplied materials can reduce your risk while still monetizing access to the recipe.
  8. Follow progression waves. Copper and Bronze parts matter first, Mithril parts become relevant later, and Thorium or Arcanite components gain attention as more players approach the level-60 profession economy.

A high sale price is not enough. Subtract bars, stone, cloth, leather, gems, vendor reagents and Auction House costs. A Delicate Arcanite Converter can look valuable while still producing a poor margin if Arcanite is expensive. Engineering rewards players who understand component cost instead of simply copying the current lowest Auction House listing.

Mining and Engineering: Best Pairing for Self-Sufficient Progression

Mining covers most of Engineering's expensive raw material chain. Ore becomes bars, and mineral veins also provide the stone required for blasting powder. This makes Mining plus Engineering one of the most direct gathering-crafting combinations in Forever.

The pairing is especially useful on a first character because Engineering can consume several metal tiers before the Auction House develops stable supply. Gather ore and stone while questing, sell unusually expensive surplus and buy missing materials when competition makes farming inefficient. Self-gathered materials still have an opportunity cost, so do not treat a Thorium Bar as free merely because you mined it.

Players who want the gathering profession leveled separately can review the WoW Forever Mining leveling service. For self-play, keeping Mining near your Engineering tier reduces the chance that one profession suddenly forces you to buy an entire missing material bracket.

Gnomish vs Goblin Engineering

Current Forever database records retain both Gnomish and Goblin Engineering quest lines. The quest text describes them as distinct disciplines and states that joining one prevents joining the other. Because the current beta level cap is still far below normal specialization progression, do not assume that an old Classic method for dropping, relearning or switching Engineering will work identically in Forever at launch.

SpecializationCore IdentityExample Forever ItemsBest Fit
GnomishGadgets, control, unusual personal devicesGnomish Death Ray, Gnomish Battle ChickenPlayers who value unique tools and personal gadgets
GoblinExplosives, burst damage, destructive devicesGoblin Sapper Charge, Goblin Mortar, Goblin Rocket HelmetPlayers who prioritize bombs, AoE damage and explosive utility

Choose based on the recipes you actually plan to use. Gnomish Battle Chicken and Gnomish Death Ray are personal gadget-style crafts, while Goblin Sapper Charge represents the consumable explosive side of Goblin Engineering. Current database requirements are useful for planning, but there is no reason to declare one specialization universally better before Forever's level-60 PvP, dungeon and raid environment can be tested.

Engineering Camping: Reagent Bot, Repair Bot and Anarchist's Workbench

Engineering's Camping line is based on services rather than a direct stat buff. Blizzard's official profession preview says camps can provide vendors, repairs and profession workspaces, and current Forever data shows Engineering supplying all three functions as skill rises. The broader WoW Forever Camping guide covers campsite capacity, outdoor restrictions and shared feature cooldowns.

  • Reagent Bot - 20 Engineering: lets nearby players purchase reagents at a campsite. Current recipe data uses Handful of Copper Bolts and Copper Tube.
  • Repair Bot - 140 Engineering: adds gear repair while retaining reagent access and can replace a Reagent Bot already placed at the camp.
  • Anarchist's Workbench - 300 Engineering: creates a workspace usable for recipes that require it. Current crafting data uses Essence of Anarchy and two Thorium Widgets.

Use the object that matches the group problem. Reagent access is useful before a long route, Repair Bot matters after durability loss, and the Workbench matters when someone actually needs the profession station. Camping features share a one-hour cooldown in current beta data, so placing the wrong object can waste both materials and the shared cooldown.

Engineering and the Legacy System

Engineering now contributes to account progression in addition to character utility. Current beta challenge data lists first-time profession milestones at 150, 225 and 300 Engineering, each awarding a Legacy Point. Current data does not establish repeating the same milestone on additional Engineers as a repeatable Legacy Point farm.

The profession-related Legacy tree also contains beta perks that can improve crafting and gathering efficiency. Working Overtime increases the chance to gain profession skill, while Bountiful Harvest improves yields of scarce materials gathered through Mining, Herbalism and Skinning. For a Mining plus Engineering character, those perks can support both halves of the material chain.

The WoW Forever Legacy System guide tracks the current beta values and account-wide rules. Blizzard's What's Next recap also confirms that Legacy and Camping are core systems supporting the 1-60 journey, so profession progression has value beyond one launch-week crafting rush.

Which Classes Benefit Most from Engineering

Engineering is useful to every class because grenades, target dummies and campsite services are not tied to one armor type. The practical value depends on how often the character benefits from ranged upgrades, extra control tools, emergency utility or PvP gadgets.

  • Hunter: gains direct value from scopes, ranged weapon improvements, explosives and many of the profession's mechanical utility items.
  • Warrior and Rogue: can use bombs, grenades and control tools to add options their normal kits may not provide in every situation.
  • Paladin and Shaman: benefit from extra ranged or crowd-control utility and can use Engineering as a complement to hybrid roles.
  • Mage, Priest and Warlock: can gain defensive space through target dummies and use specialization gadgets without needing crafted armor from the profession.
  • Druid: can use many Engineering devices, but always check shapeshift restrictions before relying on a gadget in combat.
  • PvP-focused characters: can gain substantial tactical value because explosives and unusual devices add positioning and control options not normally present in every class toolkit.

Do not choose Engineering only for one gadget that may be rebalanced. The profession is strongest as a toolbox: several small advantages across leveling, PvP, dungeons and world content are more durable than one temporary meta item.

Engineering Mistakes to Avoid

Engineering is one of the easiest professions to make unnecessarily expensive because its components feed other components. Poor inventory decisions force you to craft the same intermediate items twice.

  • Do not vendor useful parts automatically. Bolts, tubes, gizmos, casings and widgets often become ingredients later.
  • Do not buy a full old Classic shopping list. Forever adds recipes and Camping materials, while beta tuning and launch prices can change the cheapest route.
  • Do not mass-produce green recipes. A cheap-looking component becomes expensive when it fails to grant skill repeatedly.
  • Do not consume all stone as soon as you gather it. Higher blasting-powder tiers and explosives need large quantities.
  • Do not spend rare gems on scopes only for skill. Craft them when the skill gain and finished-item value justify the gem.
  • Do not assume every Engineering item has a broad market. Many devices require Engineering skill to use, sharply reducing the buyer pool.
  • Do not choose a specialization from outdated meta advice. Check current Forever recipe requirements and the live PvP or raid environment first.
  • Do not plan around unverified specialization switching. Current quest text treats the disciplines as exclusive, while the present beta cannot yet test normal high-level specialization progression.
  • Do not waste Camping cooldowns. Reagent Bot, Repair Bot and Anarchist's Workbench solve different problems and share the Camping feature cooldown.

The most efficient Engineer treats every component as inventory with future options. Build a reserve, keep material tiers organized and craft expensive gadgets only when they solve a real gameplay problem or have a real buyer.

WoW Forever Engineering FAQ

These answers cover the main current questions around Engineering leveling, Mining, specializations, gold making, Camping and the limitations of the current beta.

What is the maximum Engineering skill in WoW Forever?
300. Current Forever profession data retains the traditional profession progression up to 300 skill.

What is the cheapest way to level Engineering 1-300?
Use inexpensive stone-based powders when their recipe color is favorable, save intermediate parts for later recipes, pair Engineering with Mining when practical and switch routes whenever a new Forever recipe or local material price makes another craft cheaper.

Should I take Mining with Engineering?
Mining is the most direct pairing because it supplies both ore and stone. It is not mandatory if another character gathers for you or if buying materials is cheaper than farming them.

Can Engineering make gold?
Yes. Scopes, components, rare schematics, quest materials, selected explosives and craft services can all create demand. Some utility items have vendor competition and many gadgets require Engineering to use, so check the size of the buyer market before mass crafting.

Which is better, Gnomish or Goblin Engineering?
Gnomish leans toward gadgets and unusual personal tools, while Goblin leans toward explosives and destructive utility. Choose according to the devices you plan to use; Forever's level-60 endgame and PvP meta are not yet available for complete testing.

Can you switch from Gnomish to Goblin Engineering in Forever?
Current Forever quest text presents specialization membership as exclusive. Older versions of WoW have used different relearning or switching mechanics, but those methods should not be treated as confirmed Forever behavior until Blizzard or the live/high-level client verifies them.

What Engineering skill unlocks Repair Bot?
Current beta data lists Reagent Bot at 20 Engineering, Repair Bot at 140 and Anarchist's Workbench at 300.

What are the best Engineering items for leveling?
Target dummies, grenades and scopes are broadly useful because they provide survival, control or a long-lived ranged weapon upgrade. The best choice still depends on class, gear and the encounter.

Does Engineering give Legacy Points?
Current beta challenge data lists first-time milestones at 150, 225 and 300 Engineering as Legacy Point rewards.

Conclusion

WoW Forever Engineering is easiest to level when you preserve the profession's component chain instead of treating every craft as disposable. Use Rough and Coarse Stone recipes to control early costs, keep bolts, tubes, gizmos and casings for later recipes, transition into Solid Blasting Powder at 175, and enter the Dense Stone and Thorium ranges with enough capital to craft components that still have practical value. Mining is the cleanest gathering partner, but a strong Auction House can make buying selected materials more efficient than farming them yourself.

At 300, Engineering becomes a toolbox rather than a finished checklist. Scopes, explosives, rare schematics, specialization devices and tradable components create different uses and income streams, while Reagent Bot, Repair Bot and Anarchist's Workbench give the profession a direct role in Camping. The current beta still cannot fully test the level-60 economy, so use the confirmed skill requirements as a framework, stay flexible around new Forever recipes and judge profit by material cost and buyer demand rather than by how impressive an Engineering item looks.
