The Kirin Tor are a new reputation faction in World of Warcraft: Forever tied to the rebuilt City of Dalaran, Alliance progression, High Order Skyborne and several new profession rewards.
The most important thing to understand is that the complete Neutral-to-Exalted farming route is not yet fully verified. The current Forever client contains seven quests that award Kirin Tor reputation, but kill reputation, repeatable turn-ins and other server-side reputation sources are not exposed completely in the client data.
Quick answer: normal Alliance races currently start Neutral with the Kirin Tor, High Order Skyborne start Friendly, and Horde characters start Hated and At War. Current beta data shows eight profession recipes at Friendly and the Kirin Tor Tabard at Exalted. Archmage Alvareaux is the current Kirin Tor quartermaster in Dalaran.

How to Get Kirin Tor Reputation
Current beta-client data identifies seven quests worth 520 Kirin Tor reputation in total.
That does not mean every Alliance character can complete every one of them. Some belong to the High Order Skyborne introduction, while others belong to the general Alliance Dalaran and dungeon progression.

Can You Farm Kirin Tor to Exalted Right Now?
There is not yet a fully verified repeatable Neutral-to-Exalted route.
This is an important limitation of the current beta information. The Forever client tells us which quests and rewards reference the faction, but normal creature-kill reputation, repeatable turn-ins and some other reputation logic are handled by Blizzard's servers rather than the local client.
The currently identified seven quests provide 520 reputation in total. Even if one character could complete all seven, that amount alone would not move a normal Neutral Alliance character to Friendly, which requires 3,000 reputation.
That means at least one of the following is still missing from the fully mapped progression:
- additional server-side quests;
- repeatable turn-ins;
- reputation from eligible enemies;
- later-level Kirin Tor content;
- future beta or launch content.
Until one of those routes is verified in actual Forever gameplay, fixed claims such as “run City of Dalaran X times for Exalted” should be treated as speculation.

Best Kirin Tor Reputation Route Currently Known
High Order Skyborne
High Order Skyborne have the biggest advantage because current client data places them at Friendly immediately.
Their early progression also contains:
- The Magical City of Dalaran — +100 Kirin Tor reputation;
- Exploring the Alliance — +100 Kirin Tor reputation.
Because they already start Friendly, they can theoretically meet the standing requirement for the current Friendly profession recipes without first grinding 3,000 reputation from Neutral.
Human, Dwarf, Night Elf and Gnome
These Alliance races currently start Neutral at 0 / 3,000.
The clearest current progression is:
- Pick up An Alarming Request in Southshore.
- Travel to Image of Archmage Modera near Dalaran.
- Complete Heart of Disruption in City of Dalaran.
- Complete Friend of the Kirin Tor.
- Pick up and complete Starving Arcane.
- Later complete Past Due in Scarlet Monastery.
- Continue checking newly unlocked Dalaran content for additional server-side reputation sources.

Kirin Tor Quest Chain in Dalaran
An Alarming Request
Alliance players receive An Alarming Request from Emissary Jacques in Southshore.
The quest sends you to the Image of Archmage Modera near Dalaran and currently awards 10 Kirin Tor reputation.
Heart of Disruption
Modera follows with Heart of Disruption.
This is the major access quest for City of Dalaran and currently gives:
- Dalaran Sewer Key when the quest is accepted;
- an Arcane Mote objective inside City of Dalaran;
- 100 Kirin Tor reputation on completion;
- a choice of dungeon quest rewards.

Friend of the Kirin Tor
After the Alliance Heart of Disruption chain, Modera sends you to Archmage Celindra in the Violet Citadel.
Friend of the Kirin Tor currently awards another 10 reputation.
Starving Arcane
Starving Arcane asks you to defeat:
- 8 Seeking Remnants;
- 8 Saturated Remnants;
- 8 Mana Echoes.
The quest currently awards 100 Kirin Tor reputation.

Past Due and Scarlet Monastery
Kirin Tor progression is not limited to Dalaran itself.
The current Forever client includes Past Due, an Alliance quest connected to Scarlet Monastery. It asks you to retrieve The Lost Magic of the Runemasters and currently awards 100 Kirin Tor reputation.
This is an important clue about Forever's reputation design: Kirin Tor progression can extend into other dungeons and zones rather than being a single Dalaran grind.
Kirin Tor Quartermaster Location
The current Kirin Tor quartermaster is Archmage Alvareaux inside Dalaran in the Alterac Mountains.
Current beta observations place him around 14.0, 63.1 on an upper floor.
A practical route reported by beta players is:
- Enter Dalaran.
- Head from the Sky Enclave toward the Violet Citadel area.
- Walk into the city streets.
- Enter the building marked with Kirin Tor banners.
- Go upstairs to find Archmage Alvareaux.
Because Dalaran is still receiving beta adjustments, use the NPC name rather than relying permanently on one coordinate.

The recipes create level-30 Azure armor pieces and currently sit around the Expert profession range.
Honored and Revered Rewards
The current client does not expose a Kirin Tor standing-gated reward at Honored or Revered.
That does not prove those tiers will remain empty at launch. Archmage Alvareaux's own current dialogue suggests the Kirin Tor may receive additional stock over time.
For now, do not invent Wrath-era rewards or assume the final Forever vendor table is complete.
Kirin Tor Exalted Reward
The currently identified Exalted reward is the Kirin Tor Tabard.

This is a Forever cosmetic reputation reward. Do not confuse it with the Wrath of the Lich King Kirin Tor reputation tabard system.
This Is Not the Wrath Kirin Tor Reputation
WoW Forever takes place in a different version of Azeroth and uses its own Kirin Tor progression.
The following Wrath of the Lich King systems should not be copied into a Forever reputation guide:
- Northrend dungeon championing;
- level-80 Kirin Tor dungeon farming;
- Wrath Kirin Tor daily quests;
- Northrend reputation commendations;
- Wrath-era epic quartermaster gear;
- wearing a Friendly tabard to redirect dungeon reputation.
In Forever, the Kirin Tor are tied to the ground-level Dalaran in the Alterac Mountains, new City of Dalaran content and new Azure profession recipes.
Can Horde Earn Kirin Tor Reputation?
Current client data treats the Kirin Tor as an Alliance-aligned reputation.
Horde characters currently start at Hated -42,000 and At War.
The beta briefly allowed more Horde access to Dalaran than intended, and Blizzard has continued adjusting faction behavior around the city. Do not interpret temporary city access as proof that Horde has a normal Kirin Tor Neutral-to-Exalted progression path.
For Horde, the closest current counterpart for the level-30 profession reward structure is the Earthen Ring, which has parallel Cloudy armor recipes.
Why High Order Skyborne Start Friendly
Alliance High Order Skyborne are closely connected to Dalaran during their introductory storyline.
The current client therefore places them at Friendly with Kirin Tor from the start.
Their leveling story also includes The Magical City of Dalaran, which takes them from Zephras Isle into Dalaran and currently awards another 100 Kirin Tor reputation.
Diplomat Legacy Perk
The Diplomat perk in the Resourcefulness branch of the Legacy system increases reputation gains.

If your character intends to grind several Forever reputations, Diplomat can be more valuable than optimizing exclusively around Kirin Tor.

Should You Farm Kirin Tor Reputation in Beta?
Only if you are testing the system or specifically want access to the currently available profession rewards.
There are three reasons not to force an Exalted grind yet:
- the repeatable reputation loop is not fully mapped;
- Honored and Revered currently lack identified standing rewards;
- beta reputation rates and vendor inventory can still change before launch.
For most players, the efficient current goal is to complete the confirmed Kirin Tor quests, unlock Dalaran progression and stop at the standing that gives a reward you actually need.
