Ranked progression can be confusing because visible rank, LP gains, matchmaking, placement matches, and hidden MMR do not always move at the same pace. Our Ranked guides explain how these systems interact, why LP gains can change, how placements work, and what players can realistically do to improve their climb.
We also separate official Riot information from estimates. If a third-party tool attempts to calculate hidden MMR, the result should be treated as an estimate rather than an exact Riot value.
