We separate what can actually be tested now from level-60 projections and use playable beta evidence, Blizzard's latest class updates and current level-30 simulations rather than treating old September rankings as current data.
Paladin remains our #1 overall WoW Forever class. It is not the highest-DPS spec in every situation. Paladin ranks first because Retribution performs near the top of current level-30 simulations, Protection remains a strong tank, Holy has a complete healing toolkit, and one character can cover all three group roles. Hunter is the closest overall challenger and remains our #1 leveling recommendation.

Important: highest simulated single-target DPS is not automatically the same as the best dungeon DPS class. AoE, interrupts, buffs, dispels, crowd control, movement and survivability can change real group value considerably.
What Changed in the WoW Forever Meta in October?
The October 1 update raised the playable beta cap to level 30. That exposed the 21-point talent tier and made many classes substantially more complete than they were during the level-20 phase.
The next important update arrived on October 7, when Blizzard published new official class deep dives for Mage, Shaman, Rogue and Warlock. Those updates matter directly to the current tier list because several signature abilities now sit inside the playable 11-, 16- and 21-point talent range.

WoW Forever Class Tier List – Overall Rankings
Paladin remains #1 overall. This is a ranking for players choosing one main character, not a Patchwerk DPS chart. We weigh damage, leveling comfort, solo play, dungeon value, tank/healer access, PvP tools and flexibility.

B tier does not mean weak. Rogue remains one of the strongest classes for Stealth, openers, Sap, Vanish resets and objective control. The overall ranking measures the whole level-30 character experience.
Why Is Paladin Still #1?
Paladin no longer needs to be the best tank to justify first place. Protection Warrior currently leads our tank ranking, but Paladin is still the only current S-tier class combining competitive melee DPS, strong dungeon tanking and a viable healing role with excellent survivability and group buffs.
Hunter is very close because it combines the strongest leveling experience with excellent current DPS, but it cannot switch into tank or healer duty.
Why Did Druid Move to A Tier?
The previous overall B placement undervalued role flexibility. Restoration is our current healer leader, Bear remains a viable tank, Balance provides ranged damage and Feral provides melee damage. None of those facts make Druid the best class overall, but the complete package fits A tier better than B.

WoW Forever Level 30 PvE Tier List
The current playable beta cap is level 30. ForeverDB's simulator provides the clearest reproducible numerical cross-check for single-target DPS at that cap. It runs 1,000 simulated fights with current client-derived abilities, talents and level-30 gear.
This is not a combat-log leaderboard. A stationary single-target simulation cannot fully value AoE, movement, interrupts, crowd control, buffs, dispels, off-healing or survivability.

Best Dungeon DPS Is Not Exactly the Same
For dungeon groups, our strongest packages currently include Hunter, Warlock, Enhancement Shaman, Mage and Retribution Paladin. The exact order changes with pull size, movement, crowd control requirements and how much group utility matters.
Enhancement has the best current raw single-target number, but Hunter brings ranged uptime, pet utility and excellent mobility. Warlock brings strong damage plus Fear, demons and survivability. Mage brings polymorph, slows, roots and strong ranged control.
WoW Forever Leveling Tier List
Hunter remains our #1 leveling class for the current 1–30 beta. Mage is the closest speed-focused alternative. Paladin and Warlock trade some pace for excellent safety and sustain.

Why Hunter Remains #1 for Leveling
A Hunter can send the pet first, attack from range, kite, track targets and continue moving between pulls with very little recovery. By level 30 the toolkit also includes traps and Feign Death, making mistakes less punishing than on most other classes.
Choose Mage instead if you value high-skill speed, AoE pulls and control. Choose Paladin if you want an extremely forgiving first character that can later tank, heal or DPS.
WoW Forever Level 60 DPS Tier List – Current Status
There is still no verified current cross-spec level-60 DPS ranking. MythicSim currently labels the Forever DPS tier list Engine pending and No rankings yet.
Do not reuse old September level-60 DPS numbers as a current tier list. MythicSim is actively updating its Forever engine and rebuilding the spec boards.
MythicSim's race comparison pages are already using newer October engine snapshots, which confirms active simulator development. However, race comparisons cannot be combined into a valid spec-vs-spec ranking because every specialization uses its own preset.
Current level-60 verdict: pending. The level-30 ranking above is the strongest evidence for what is actually playable today.

WoW Forever Tank Tier List
Protection Warrior remains our #1 current level-30 tank. Its threat tools, defensive kit and improved Rage flow create the strongest dedicated tank package at the current cap.

Restoration Druid remains our current level-30 healer leader. Its toolkit combines HoTs, direct healing, mobility, Swiftmend and Nature's Swiftness.

The healer gaps are smaller than a simple tier label suggests. Encounter movement, tank damage, dispels and party-wide pressure can easily favor a different healer.
WoW Forever PvP Tier List
There is no honest universal #1 PvP class at the current level-30 cap. Duels, premade Battlegrounds and world PvP reward different toolkits, and the October class changes make older one-dimensional PvP rankings less useful.

Where does Rogue fit? Subtlety Rogue is still one of the best classes for Stealth, Sap, openers, Vanish resets and objective control. We simply no longer describe it as a universal #1 across every PvP format.

WoW Forever keeps the original nine classes but adds new race/class combinations.
