WoW Midnight dungeons combine boss mechanics, dangerous trash packs, route planning, interrupts, dispels, movement checks, and role-specific responsibilities. Our Dungeon and Mythic+ guides cover the Midnight Season 2 rotation, from learning a dungeon on Normal or Heroic difficulty to timing Mythic Keystone runs at +10 and above.
This category brings together practical guides for the eight Season 2 dungeons, the current affix ladder, the Coiled Isle Delves added in Patch 12.1, and the reward breakpoints that decide how much a run is actually worth. Start with the Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ rotation guide, then use the individual dungeon guides for bosses, routes, and interrupts.
WoW Midnight Dungeon Guides
Midnight launched with eight expansion dungeons. Patch 12.1, Curse of Ula'tek, added a ninth with Altar of Fangs on the Coiled Isle. Season 2 uses five Midnight dungeons alongside three returning instances, while the remaining Midnight dungeons stay relevant for leveling, Normal, Heroic, and non-seasonal Mythic 0.
Our dungeon guides may cover:
- Dungeon entrances and access requirements.
- Boss abilities and positioning.
- Dangerous trash enemies and priority targets.
- Important interrupts, dispels, stops, and crowd control.
- Tank positioning and defensive planning.
- Healing-intensive mechanics and group damage.
- Damage windows and target priorities.
- Notable loot, achievements, and dungeon rewards.
Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ Dungeons
Midnight Season 2 opened on August 18, 2026 in North America and August 19 in Europe. The Mythic+ pool contains eight dungeons: five from Midnight and three returning from earlier expansions.
The entire Season 1 pool was retired, so none of it carries into Season 2. Four of the five Midnight dungeons in the rotation are entering Mythic+ for the first time, and the three returning instances were retuned in Patch 12.1. Old Battle for Azeroth and Dragonflight knowledge helps, but current trash behavior, boss changes, and Season 2 routing take priority over legacy guides. If you are starting the season now, the Season 2 week 1 dungeon plan sets a realistic order of progress.
Mythic+ Routes and Enemy Forces
A strong Mythic+ route must complete the required enemy forces without wasting time on unnecessary packs. The best route depends on the key level, group composition, available interrupts, crowd control, cooldown planning, and the weekly affix setup.
Our route-focused guides explain:
- Which packs are efficient or dangerous.
- Where major offensive cooldowns provide the most value.
- Which enemies require interrupts, stuns, dispels, or defensive preparation.
- How tanks can maintain stable positioning and pull flow.
- How groups can avoid missing enemy forces near the end of a run.
- Where route adjustments may be useful for inexperienced or high-level groups.
Season 2 also makes routing easier to learn. Lindormi's Guidance runs from +2 through +5 and highlights a complete enemy-forces path while removing the death timer penalty. Enemy tooltips now show how much each target contributes toward the forces requirement, which is useful in dungeons where several trash camps look interchangeable but are not worth the same percentage. Guidance ends at +6, and tanks who still want route highlighting can activate Lindormi's Glow instead.
Season 2 Affixes and Keystone Progression
Mythic Keystone difficulty increases enemy health and damage while adding seasonal mechanics at fixed keystone levels. The Season 2 ladder works as follows:
- +2: Lindormi's Guidance activates. Marked enemies are weakened and player deaths do not subtract time.
- +5: Xal'atath's Bargain activates, rotating weekly between Ascendant, Voidbound, Pulsar, and Devour.
- +6: Guidance is removed. Lindormi's Glow keeps route highlighting only.
- +7: Fortified or Tyrannical, alternating weekly.
- +10: Fortified and Tyrannical are both active. This is also the main gearing and dungeon-portal breakpoint.
- +12: Xal'atath's Bargain is replaced by Xal'atath's Guile. Each death subtracts 15 seconds, and Resilient Keystone progression begins.
Higher keys demand more reliable interrupts, better defensive planning, cleaner routes, stronger cooldown coordination, and fewer avoidable deaths. Assigning interrupts, dispels, and Bargain responsibilities before the key starts is more valuable than treating the affix as a random mid-pull event.
Boss Strategies and Important Mechanics
Dungeon bosses often test more than raw damage. Players may need to interrupt specific casts, spread or stack correctly, move enemies, use defensive cooldowns, dispel harmful effects, or save movement abilities for a mechanic.
Each boss guide focuses on the practical information required by tanks, healers, melee damage dealers, and ranged damage dealers. The goal is to explain what can kill the group, what can be prevented, and which mechanic should receive priority when several effects happen together.
Interrupts, Dispels, and Group Utility
Successful Mythic+ runs depend heavily on class utility. A missed interrupt, delayed dispel, uncontrolled enemy, or badly timed defensive cooldown can cost more time than a small damage loss.
Our guides identify:
- Priority casts that must be interrupted.
- Abilities that can be stunned, silenced, displaced, or otherwise stopped.
- Magic, curse, poison, and disease effects that can be dispelled.
- Enrages and beneficial enemy effects that can be removed.
- Boss mechanics that require personal or group defensive cooldowns.
- Useful class tools such as Bloodlust, battle resurrection, crowd control, and movement support.
Mythic+ Rating, Rewards, and Great Vault Progress
Completing Mythic+ dungeons contributes to rating, seasonal achievements, dungeon portals, weekly rewards, and Great Vault progress. The value of a run depends on the keystone level, completion time, dungeon, and your existing progress.
In Season 2, +10 is the main breakpoint: end-of-dungeon gear reaches item level 311 (Hero 3/6), the Great Vault reaches 318 (Myth 1/6), and a timed +10 unlocks the permanent teleport for that dungeon. Keys above +10 remain valuable for rating, Resilient Keystone achievements, and leaderboard goals rather than higher standard loot. The full matrix is in the Season 2 Mythic+ loot table.

Season 2 Delves and Solo Content
Patch 12.1 added three Coiled Isle Delves and a new seasonal Nemesis encounter, all of which feed the same weekly Great Vault. This category also covers the Ring of Glory, Gnarldor Isle, and Venomfall Deeps, along with the Delve loot table, the Delver's Journey and Prey rewards, and the Valeera companion build.
Dungeon Advice for Tanks, Healers, and Damage Dealers
Tank Responsibilities
Tanks control route flow, enemy positioning, pull size, frontal attacks, and defensive timing. Patch 12.1 raised creature damage at max level, so pull sizes that worked in Season 1 are not automatically safe now. A good route should match the group's damage, interrupts, available crowd control, and healer capacity rather than copy a high-level route without adjustment.
Healer Responsibilities
Healers need to recognize unavoidable group damage, dispel requirements, dangerous overlaps, and moments when players must use personal defensives. Efficient healing also leaves room for offensive contribution when the group is stable.
Damage Dealer Responsibilities
Damage dealers are responsible for more than damage output. Priority targeting, interrupts, stops, dispels, defensive cooldowns, and correct positioning can determine whether a pull succeeds. Saving every cooldown for bosses may also weaken the route when dangerous trash packs are the real time loss.
